My husband was not impressed worh their "extensive beer selections," so we settled on flat sodas. Great bar! great atmosphere. HOWEVER, the bartender Erin was the worst. Slow service, and rude. And when she wasn't clearly faking a fake smile she had a resting bitch face on the whole time. The food was good, the side dish for one of us was cold (fries). The burger was good and the Rueben sandwich was above average and onion rings were lightly battered and delicious. We have stopped in here twice so far and were able to grab two seats at the bar. I appreciate that they have Riesling and Yuengling available, and the menu is actually pretty good too. The Southwestern Chicken Wrap is very good (I've gotten it both times) and there are side options other than fries (I try to limit my intake). It appeared like it has a very good set of regulars as the bar area was full, but the restaurant area was empty. The service was also average, our drink and food orders were taken without much fanfare and the food arrived in a timely manner. However, there were a couple issues with the food, mainly the fried items. The fries that came with my hamburger were undercooked and crunchy. The photo shows that they are cooked well on the outside, but the inside still had a raw taste. As for the burger, it was good, but lacked a little bit of seasoning. Overall, it won't be on the regular rotation, but we might try again. read more

Wanted a burger for lunch and searched Yelp for one near where I was on Hamilton Rd. The photos looked good- so we stopped in and I'm glad we did. My wife had the Spicy Burger ($11 with fries) and she's particular when it comes to spicy. These jalapeños were just the right amount- covered in pepper Jack cheese and all the fixens. Nice. She was happy. I had the Thompson ($12 with fries) and it was also good. Swiss cheese, lots of crispy but not burnt bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions on a nice sized bun. Hard pause here to talk about the fries. These were thin cut, cooked just right for my taste, and salted just enough that you liked it, but didn't feel like you just gargled saltwater. Friendly, quick service and a great afternoon stop for a burger and a beer. Photos don't do the burger justice, but you'll get the point. Good burger, good place, good price. Nice. read more

I really loved the atmosphere of this place. Food was good and was quick. Our waitress Sam was always checking on us and making sure we were good on food and drinks. I've traveled from coast to coast for work and haven't found a place that was more fun and had better service than Hamilton's. This is a great place for some basic bar fare done well. I've been coming here for many years as I used to be a manager of the bounce house that was right behind it before it closed a few years ago. We'd walk over after closing quite often for some snacks and drinks. My favorite thing here is the cheese quesadilla add crispy chicken. It sounds basic - and it is - but it's done so right. Lots of melty cheese and with the chicken it is just so indulgent and delicious. I also tried their new fried zucchini on my recent trip and while I enjoyed them, I think $10 is a bit steep consider there's only about 1 zucchini's worth of chips in the basket and zucchini isn't very pricey of a vegetable. I'd also prefer them in sticks as opposed to the chips they went with. But they were battered and cooked well and served with ranch for a good dip. I have and will definitely be back! read more

My husband and I have been coming here for years. We bring guests here a lot. Food is good, service and servers excellent. They know what we drink and bring our drinks as soon as we sit down. Nice well maintained sports bar. Only down side for us, being in the older (in our 80's) generation is noise. In the evenings or game days it gets pretty loud and our hearing isn't the best. That shouldn't be a deterrent for the younger crowd it's a fun inviting atmosphere. read more

Won't be back. Been here three times and food was okay. We stopped today at 12:45 to have a beer and look at our errands list, only to walk in at a young lady with her leg propped up on a chair at the bar. We went and sat at the other side of the bar. She was our bartender. She came around the bar and gave us our drinks. Socially engaging with another patron about accepting shots at another bar she works at, but not here. Yet, not professionally dressed or acting like any other bartenders we've had before there. A couple walked out while we tried to pay our tab of one beer. I always tip, love to give second chances and give benefit of the doubt. But NO, won't be back, no tip, she needs an etiquette course in service industry behavior before midnight. read more

This is my second time at Hamilton's. This seat yourself bar/restaurant has plenty of seating and visibility to a lot of TVs. You can expect to wait a little longer for your food as the past times we have been there are not a lot of servers and they also work the bar. I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, when it came out the sauce was very dark like BBQ, when I took a bite it tasted and smelt more like a sweet/tangy BBQ not Nashville. I asked the server to make sure it was Nashville sauce and she brought me out a sample of the Nashville sauce to see if they tasted the same and they did. If you're wanting a true Nashville Hot tasting sandwich I do not recommend this one. My boyfriend loved his Jacks Favorite Quesadilla. Their french fries also remind me of fair fries. A good selection of craft beers, solid bar food, very efficient staff, keno, dog friendly patio, and 1/2 price wing Wednesday. On this particular visit my boyfriend and I had lunch on the patio. Kendra, our server was awesome! She was on top of it, and really personable. We ordered boneless wings, cheeseburger sliders, and pretzel bites. The food is good, but don't expect to be blown away. I do really like their wing sauces, especially Flamethrower ( not unbearably hot, but spicy ) and Jim Beam BBQ ( sweet and smoky ). Neat little pub right of the main drag in New Albany. First time here, but heard good reviews from a friend. I walked in and was impressed. great seating options, great atmosphere. Multiple TV's to catch any type of sports or a variety of other media. Nice solid sturdy tables and socially distant. We arrived, they weren't very busy, we got a table and the bartender came over and got our drink order. She did a very good job of keeping my drink full. As the night progressed it became much busier. We decided to order an appetizer, we waited, and waited, finally decided we should order food as the frequency of our servers visits were getting longer and longer. Our food arrived and no appetizer. we asked, and she admitted that she forgot to put it in, it came later. The chicken egg rolls were okay, soft wrap and good flavor from the filling. I would have preferred a different dipping sauce other than ranch. The buffalo chicken sliders were standard bar food. Chicken chunks in buffalo sauce with blue cheese crumbles. Not a bad place to grab a beer or a quick dinner. We live pretty close to here so its really easy for us to pop over when we want. The food is nothing impressive in my opinion, however they do have half off wings wednesdays which is a pretty sweet deal! They offer boneless and bone-in. Both are good! They also have some beer specials occasionally. Our favorite thing about this place is that they host trivia (by sporkle) on Wednesday nights. Free to play! You just have to be able to snag a table. Parking is easy -- large lot surounds the place. It's well-kept. The bathrooms are clean and I've never had a problem with them lacking toilet paper. I call that a win in any Pub. Friendly service. Good place for work happy hour. Not a good place for family especially if you have older people or children. Food was average pub style. Pizza was peculiar... the thin crust was extremely thin to the point that it couldn't support the cheese or loaded sauce. The flavor was decent and familiar until I realized it tasted exactly like the cheap $1 Torino's pizza you at as a kid only instead of paying 1-2 bucks your paying $12-14 for a sloppy pie. Went on a Friday night around 630pm and sat outside on the patio. Live music started around 730/8, band (3 guys) were good. Has the buffalo chicken dip and the chips that came with it were AMAZING - not a low fat dish. I had the pub blue burger and fries with vinegar and it was great! Large portions overall! This little hole in the wall has become a favorite spot for my family. Their food is average, their prices are what you'd guess them to be, and the atmosphere is like any old bar. However, their WINGS. Their wings are everything. They are giant. Jumbo. And they are fried to perfection-- providing the perfect crunch followed by tender, juicy bites of meat. The sauces are delicious as well. Especially the bourbon and the garlic parm. My husband asks to go every time we are in the area. Normally I'd give a place like this a 3.5/4. For a glorified suburban publican house this place really does shine as a lunch destination, and dinner too in a pinch. The beer is cold, the service is prompt, and the food - while definitely and firmly planted in the scope of bar cuisine - is warm, fresh, and in your face alongside a tall glass of "whatever you're having" that evening. Ironically enough I'd highly recommend their salads if you're of a healthier mindset, and if not, the buffalo chicken offerings rival that of some of the other beer-slingers in the area, even the chains. Another big plus is parking and elbow room. It's part of a broader shopping complex so there's ample space to drop anchor in your sedan or crossover beast. On the inside, there's a variety of tabletop solutions to choose from that accommodate party sizes both large and intimate. I particularly enjoy using some of the larger curvy tables designed to facilitate, I imagine, the convenient consumption of food and booze. There is only one or two of them, but they have really interesting curves to their shape for a larger group of folks to congregate around. So my buddy used to come here after golf, but he couldn't remember the name of it until one day when we went to Mezze, and he instantly recognized it. According to him the place had some awesome wings, but he wasn't sure how great, since it was after golf and a few drinks. Well, we eventually made it here for lunch this week. Long story short: the wings are awesome. In fact, the wings themselves are some of the best I've ever had. They have a super crispy coating but not a super thick batter which is almost perfect in my mind. The chicken was juicy, and the wings were pretty big. I tried the flamethrower (which is the hottest) and I think the other flavor was Sweet Thai or something like that. Either way, they were both delicious, and the flamethrower was pretty damn hot but not enough to make them not enjoyable. The pricing is OK at $11 for 10 large wings, but if you come after 5 pm on Wednesdays, they're half price, and that's a good deal. Also, the shoestring fries we ordered with them were great as well with a nice seasoning to make them very flavorful. I can't say anything about the rest of the food, but we weren't really there for that. The place is a pretty divey bar, and it was empty when we were there, but I'm told there's a good crowd towards dinner time. They have tons of TVs, so you'd be able to go there and watch any game you want I would assume. Finding a good wing place is pretty dangerous when you're trying to cut some pounds (bye bye diet), but I'm sure we'll be back pretty soon. read more

The average age was over 40. Nice clean group All of the waitress and bar tender were wearing tank tops and blue jeans. All looked unfinished. Take the pub up a couple of notches by supplying nice tops. 9-7-18 update. Went for a Friday night dinner. 40% busy. 7:00 pm. Music loud, customers had to yell. Sandwich barely warm. I'm a sucker for pubs. If a business has the word pub in it, I'm there. I'm always reeled in by that mysterious force that makes me check out any food establishment with the name "pub" in it. I dread driving past one called The Colonoscopy Pub. No! Well, um, erm, OK... But seriously. It's a decent enough typical suburban sports bar. It's not really the type of place that I'd normally hang out in, but it's alright. There's plenty of seating, seems like lots of regulars, everyone is pretty friendly. Guinness in a can ( eh? ), at $4.75. There are plenty of big screens around to watch. Add in Keno, a jukebox, pool table, patio and enough seating for about 80 or so. I didn't try their food but previous reviews seem to think it's decent bar food. Maybe again if I were in the area. read more
