We feel so fortunate that we found Bar. We had been struggling with behavior problems with a 6yr. old pug and then we adopted a 1 year old rescue and we had complete chaos. During our consultation, Bar listened to our struggles and then gave us his suggestions for a training plan for them. We have just completed our sessions and couldn't be more happy with the results. Bar has returned sanity to our house! Thank you Bar! He was so patient with the dogs (and us) as we all learned new commands and skills. The dogs were always so excited when we opened the car door and they saw Bar. We highly recommend Bar whether you have a young dog or an older one. We had one of each and the results are amazing!

Teddy the Goldendoodle

Teddy had a wonderful experience with Bar. I did a lot of research and the reviews were what led me to book Bar for training for 3 plus weeks. My husband was pretty fed up with Teddy's antics, but he came home trained, ready and able to listen to commands --and we were given the tools to replicate Bar's techniques. This video is 2 days after he returned home with my teenage daughter. He listens and is happier and more confident. Bar is everything people described: patient, knowledgeable, calm, professional. I recommend him for sure. So does Teddy, as evidenced by his excitement to see him on our follow up appointment .

I had so much anxiety taking my Great Pyrenees out due to his reactivity and him being stronger than me. After completing Bar's train and board program, my puppy and I both have more trust and confidence between the two of us when we go out. I feel like I can finally give him the life he deserves and have him join in on more adventures with me and my German Shepherd (also trained by Bar) without feeling anxious or overwhelmed. The 3 of us highly recommend Bar for your dog training needs. He's super experienced, kind and patient. I feel like my dogs both caught on faster than I did, and Bar was sure to support with follow-up sessions to catch me up to speed.

Bailey in "place" after.

Short version: 100% YES, if you're considering professional dog training, Bar is the way to go. Longer version: After a long search, I kept coming back to Bar's reviews on multiple platforms, and I'm so glad I did. We rescued our puppy, Bailey, at 10 weeks old and realized as she grew that we wanted professional help, especially to build her confidence. From our first in-person meeting, Bar was attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in our goals. We decided the board and train program was the best fit, and although it was hard leaving Bailey at first, Bar's beautiful property and regular updates gave us complete peace of mind. When we reunited, we were amazed by Bailey's progress. Her obedience, leash heeling, and responsiveness exceeded our expectations. Just as importantly, Bar spent time training *us* so we could confidently continue reinforcing everything at home. A few days later, when we returned for an in-person session, Bailey completely lit up when she saw Bar, running straight to him for affection. That moment said it all. We're incredibly grateful and look forward to continuing (and possibly advancing) her training. **Highly recommend Bar's K9 Dog Training.**

Bar has been so helpful and friendly to both me and my dog Kuma! My 4 yr old dog struggles with reactivity and separation anxiety, and we've been making progress already after only two sessions! During our sessions he makes sure my dog is taken care of and he gets breaks when needed. He understands my dog and meets him where he is at. He really shows his expertise and brings out the best in my dog. Bar has also given me great advice on how to properly continue training while I'm at home and we look forward to doing more sessions. I can now say I feel hopeful for both me and my dog and I'm glad I chose Bar as our trainer!

Where do I begin ? I guess from the top ! So my puppy (Australian Shepard) was definitely a handful that I didn't know exactly what to do with! He used to be impossible on leash and easily distracted by life! Then I met Bar, and let me tell you he changed his life and our whole family's lives. Our sweet puppy now listens to commands , walks on a leash like a champion, and is always eager to learn more things now ! Bar was always kind, quick to respond , helpful and patient, and truely a dog whisperer ! I am so happy we found him and will continue to give him our everlasting thanks ! If you need just training or just a pure puppy intervention this is your guy ! Thank You Bar for your support and kindness !

Bar is extremely patient and we have had a terrific experience at Bar K9 Training! Choosing a trainer, especially one who will be boarding your dog for several weeks, is no easy task. We interviewed a few trainers for our dog Enzo, and settled on Bar after we met him. It just felt right once we met and talked through the process and his approach. Once we met with Bar, we knew he would be the right choice. Enzo clearly enjoyed learning his new skills with Bar. We are still working on reinforcing, and it is great being able to come back to do the follow-up appointments with Bar. We recommend Bar highly!

The board and training for our 7 month old Shepard was just what we needed. Logan gained so much confidence from this training. He is a shy timid pup and has shown so much improvement, to the point that he now potty's on his daily walks. Some of our concerns with Logan was crate training, leash pulling, and human/dog socialization. He now is calm and associates the crate with his own positive space to sleep/relax. It has also helped on our walks, he keeps constant eye contact with us. Bar is a great trainer, we definitely recommend him! We felt at ease knowing that Logan was in good hands.

Bennett loves Bar!
Angela C.

I sent my 5-month-old Dalmatian puppy to Bar's board and train program, and the results have been fantastic. Bennett came home with strong foundational obedience skills and is now so much more responsive to verbal commands. Bar was wonderful with Bennett! When I went in for my first training session after not seeing him for three weeks, I expected Bennett to want to come home with me right away. He was definitely happy to see me, but what stood out most was how easily he also followed Bar back inside to finish out his program. It was such a clear sign that he trusted and felt safe with him. Bar is also just a really kind and thoughtful person. He speaks gently with the dogs and truly treats them like his own. With all the fun he was having, Bennett was hungrier than usual during camp, so Bar even gave him some of his own dog's food to supplement. That level of care really stood out. Overall, Bar is a compassionate, skilled, and trustworthy trainer. Bennett came home more confident and well-behaved, and I feel much more equipped to continue his training thanks to Bar's guidance. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a dedicated and loving trainer!

Want to just cheer Bar and the amazing training he does. Our pups are now friendly, confident and are now human whisperers. Look at them in place!

Bar and Jelly Bernadoodle
Tina S.

Our 11 month Bernadoodle Jelly was in need of training on socialization with people, dogs and to gain more confidence in herself. My fiancé and I had tried other trainers and even reached out to our breeder for guidance as were first time pet owners. No matter what we tried things weren't working. We reached out to Bar based off the positive reviews and after us inquiring more information, Bar promptly responded and after our conversation we knew we wanted to give Jelly another opportunity. Bar is very polite, knowledge and patient. You can see the passion Bar has for his job and for the dogs. During our first visit, Jelly was comfortable with Bar which my fiancé and I were surprised from her meeting someone for the first time this wasn't her normal reaction. At that point, we knew we picked the right person for Jelly. This was the best thing we could've done for all of us. Jelly, made great strides in her training seeing her play with other dogs, not being so scared and more confident was a blessing in itself. Jelly has grown fond of Bar as she whimpered when it was time to leave the ranch and come home. Every time she sees him she gets excited on random visits. Thanks to Bar for making this a positive experience for Jelly bringing out the best in her. We're on a new path with her but couldn't have gotten this far without the right person providing training, guidance and feedback. This is now Jelly's home away from home, in times we need to board her, we know she is well taken care of and is with someone she trusts and has fun with.

My experience with Bar and training my 7 month puppy was amazing! I can tell there was a lot of dedication in training him and they connected really well. My puppy was in a board and train program and communication throughout the process was very good, keeping me updated throughout. The sessions included were full of value. Everyone in the house was comfortable with the commands and understanding the training our puppy was receiving. I really love that I feel that I can come to the trainer for any questions or concerns about the continuation of my puppy's training. I would definitely recommend Bar K9 Training to anyone interested in improving your relationship with your pup!!

Bar and the F family minus poppa F.
Craig F.

Bar is extremely professional. From the initial contact through to the last training session, he has super helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. Our 9 month old Havenese needed consistent training which we were not able to provide at home. We reached out to several trainers including ones closer to us but went with Bar due to his prompt responses, professionalism, and competitive pricing. 4 week course with 2 visits and then 4 training sessions. Our pup came back much better than when be left. He heels, places, sits, down. We can now walk him off leash without fear of him running off. You can also tell Bar cares for the dogs. When we went back for our training sessions are pup was so excited to see Bar. If Bar didn't care, if he treated the dogs differently than he did, I doubt our pup would have missed him. Highly recommend!

We took our two dogs there for a temperament evaluation since it was their first time and we were wanting to book them for a week in October. They took them back for maybe 3 MINUTES and came back out and said that one of our dogs was nervous (I'm sorry but duh) and that we needed to book "A LOT" of day visits so he would not be nervous anymore. It's odd because it's totally normal for any dog to be nervous the first time going somewhere which immediately threw up a red flag for me. Not to mention the lady was pretty rude about it when I was obviously confused as to how they would know his normal stress levels after 3 minutes upon getting there. I got weird vibes so I just said we can cancel it and no worries. She immediately snaps back and says something about me not being fair to our dog if I don't book daycare visits regularly and what am I even doing there if we already have a boarding place etc.(very strange behavior). Most places have you book a day visit so they can see how your dog adjusts the entire day which our dogs do totally fine. Our dog is 10 years old and doesn't have any underlying anxiety conditions and was never prescribed medication for that ever so this seemed odd. Just a bad vibe in general. Unfriendly staff and insufficient time to actually see how the dogs warm up to the place for the first time.

What interested us in this place was it being specifically for smaller sized dogs, under 40lbs. We took him on a trial visit which he loved, although he was very nervous. After that, about once a week we would take him to regular daycare just so he can get used to being around the employees and the dogs. When we would pick him up, he would be so full of energy and joy. He would mainly stick by the people rather than the dogs, he's just like that. During his stay, he had gotten a minor injury(due to his fault not the daycare), which they called us to let us know of what had happened, what they will be doing (cleaning the wound and making sure he doesn't lick it). If it had escalated, they would provide some medication, but luckily he was perfectly fine and unbothered. They were very informative and caring for the dogs, have a great location, and the people are kind, we are grateful. Although we do not need to take him to daycare or to board him anytime soon, we would definitely return here if we needed to.
