    Mortadella
    Dan V.

Cool Italian restaurant right on the Strip. We didn't have reservations but arrived early and they got us in. Service was very good and the food overall was great. This is a no tipping restaurant, and that's nice, but we wonder how much they actually build right into the meals. The bolognese was one of the smallest portions we've seen in terms of pasta and meat. It was really good, but in the mid-$30s, you expect a bit more. The gnocchi was really good as well and a better portion size for good handmade gnocchi. The mortadella was an interesting app.

We sat at the bar and had an amazing experience start to finish. The menu is small and focused. Drinks and wine were excellent and we had great recommendations from the bartender on dinner. The restaurant has a very cool vibe and we especially loved sitting at the bar. We will be back again for sure. Best items: Kale Caesar and the Lamb Gnocchetti.

My friend and I met here for dinner recently. The space is small and reservations are recommended. We made a reservation in advance and sat at the bar. The menu is a great. There are some options but not an overwhelming amount of things to choose from. A lot of the menu looked great to us so we decided to order a bunch of things and split it. We started with some cocktails and apps. We tried the arancini, the Caesar salad, and summer caprese salad. We also ordered three pasta dishes- the rigatoni, gnocchetti, and I think the fettuccine. Everything was delicious, but my person favorite was the summer caprese salad. I'm still thinking about it. The vibe inside Bar Marco is also great. Everyone was super friendly.

Cozy, cute, romanticized, and very Pittsburgh. This converted fire station, maybe is on an unassuming block near the Strip District. It's small and cozy but that makes for an intimate experience. We sat at the bar. Drinks were phenomenal. I would highly recommend trying multiple cocktails and/or wines from their menu. The food was good. Like most Pittsburgh restaurants, after living in Philly and DC, the food never blows me away but it is good and you can have a decent meal here. Service was attentive but not overly. We were greeted right away and our reservation was honored. Overall, I'd go for drinks and appetizers.

The food is always superb! The white truffle specials during our visit were heavenly. The server was friendly and extremely helpful, especially regarding the wine suggestions. Outside view of the restaurant is deceiving because the inside is unique and cozy.

I have been wanting to try Bar Marco for the longest time. On a whim we found a last minute reservation and decided to go. The staff was fantastic and they really helped set us up for an amazing meal offering cocktail and wine suggestions to complement our food choices. The antipasti had some great flavors but for the price the portion is a little smaller than expected. Their pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and the sauce had a great balance to it. I would definitely will be going back to try more on the menu!

What an intimate, cozy, and classy spot! This was our first time there and we were blown away! Our server, Neil, was very cool and helpful with the menu. Super attentive. The focaccia is made fresh daily and you can tell. Absolutely delicious. Our crostada was fantastic. It was light, buttery, and crispy with a warm ricotta base. The quail was juicy and tender and the spaghetti had a nice kick to it. Our dessert was a chocolate mousse dish with nuts and was incredible. I'd recommend making a reservation and getting a table to really enjoy what they have to offer. Would love to go back.

Great food location and service. Highly recommend! If you go make sure to try the appetizers!!

Wow! This place is great. From the cocktails, to the food, to the service everything was amazing. Their menu consists of a 2 course meal, an antipasti and insalata and a pasta e secondi. You get to pick one from each. There are also add ons like fresh baked focaccia, arancini and prosciutto. It has a very intimate vibe, only have a handful of tables. The bartender Jason makes some great drinks and I also did the amari flight and asked for his 3 favorites. They did not disappoint.

I can't say enough good things about this place! The food was beyond awesome. Our bartender/server Kelsey was so super and attentive!! The gnocchi was very soft and the sauce was delicious. The spaghetti with the sweet corn spicy sauce was just incredible! We also had the cheese and meat appetizer and everything on it was delicious. You definitely need a reservation for this place, we tried to go a few times and could never just walk in. We will be back!

    Fusilli, Spanish octopus

Bar Marco was a cute restaurant and bar, which gave me a European style vibe. It was beautiful at sunset and the atmosphere was classy. Parking was easy with lots of street parking in the area, as it avoids the busier parts of the Strip. Service was amazing. The restaurant doesn't require a tip, but the service and staff were super nice and food was fast. [Spanish Octopus] was my favorite dish. It was nicely grilled so that the octopus was tender, and the polenta and zucchini was finely executed as well. However, I did feel the fusilli was too salty. The Marco Caesar salad also felt a bit bland, maybe because there was too much kale and not much of anything else in the salad. The arancini was flavorful with a crispy texture but soft and cheesy risotto inside to balance.

Avoid this restaurant. They make mistakes constantly on togo orders…read more On day one, I had ordered a bread pudding and paying for it. After waiting 30 minutes for it, they decide to come out and tell me that they are out of bread pudding. It would've been beneficial to know that prior to paying, however, they did not even offer a refund. Instead, they told me they would give me a tiramisu instead. On day two, I placed an order for a salad with a chicken skewer upcharge. Upon getting my order and opening the container, I saw that the skewer was not in there despite being charged $10 for it. The other items here at the restaurant were not good, and I do not recommend this as they don't want to make good quality food. Lobster ravioli is pretty dry and tough to chew. Tiramisu is missing that earthy coffee flavor. Chicken caprese says that it comes with fresh mozzarella, however, they only gave us small circle of cheese on one side of the sandwich (covers about 1/4 of the sandwich). Do not get the truffle fries, they are the exact same taste as the normal fries. Last, the crab and shrimp dip is highly inconsistent. The first day, it was good and actually had pieces of shrimp. The second day, zero shrimp. In the end, this restaurant has several deficiencies that they do not seem willing to resolve.

There is a large parking lot behind the venue and a parking garage across the street. It was easy to access and park, but I wish it wasn't quite as expensive as it is for weeknight parking (I think I ended up paying around $15 because it based on the amount of time you are there). When you arrive, there is a spot you line up to get seated in the performance space. I arrived about a half hour before the show and there were probably ten parties ahead of me. They did keep the line moving. I was unpleasantly surprised when I was brought to my seat. The tables were uncomfortably close together. Like the back of my chair was touching the person at the next table close. I understand they are a venue wanting to make money, but I would be more inclined to go back to a show if they took out one row of tables and allowed everyone just a little more space. The chairs had these little cushions on them but they slid around, so I'm not sure how much they added to the actual comfort. I was fairly close to the front, but without any platform or slanted floor, I imagine it could be difficult If you attend a show, there is a two item minimum per person. I suppose you could get a diet pepsi and some sort of appetizer, but the cheapest "small plate" is $18. My cheeseburger was $27 and when I asked for extra ketchup, I was charged an extra dollar for it. The glass of wine I ordered was $18. It was $65 if I wanted a bottle. But the same bottle was sold for around $40 if I were to buy it from the bottle shop. So with the two item policy, you are going to spend at least $20 minimum. If you want any "real" food it will be at least $40. I wish they had some options that weren't so overpriced. That being said, the waitstaff was courteous and efficient. They perfectly maneuvered around the tight tables and did their best to not block the view of the performance while visiting their tables. I did notice they tried to upsell. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but my burger came with regular fries but they asked "would you like regular fries, truffle fries, regular salad or Caesar salad" not stating that the truffle fries and Caesar salad were up charges. The table next to me complained about that when they got their check at the end of the night. I really loved the show I went to, but this isn't a venue that I'm eager to go back to.
