    Pappardelle

For how expensive the food was, I did expect better. We started off strong with the arancini and brussel sprouts, but after that wasn't a huge fan. The pappardelle potion was so tiny, literally three noodles and nothing beyond a basic recipe. The risotto came out a bit cold and the flavors were okay, nothing strong. Dessert was a huge miss. The lady fingers were not soaked at all for the tiramisu so they were a hard bite. The ice cream served in a stemless wine glass with a tiny spoon for the affogato made the dessert impossible to reach! And sipping it was a bit disappointing. The service was pretty good, there was a bit of a wait when we initially were being seated and until we got out first drinks but the food was nicely spaced.

This place was such a surprise! So cool and unique inside. Loved the ambiance. Food was great, cocktails were exceptional!! Chris, the bartender might be one of the most creative bartenders in the city. So good at his job and a wiz at making cocktails. The food we tried was the bar menu and everything was tasty and definitely more "elevated" bar food with a yinzer comfort meal vibe. Will be back!

I had such a delicious meal here recently. My husband and I decided to share small plates so we could try a little of everything. We started with the confit carrots with whipped goat cheese, they were very good but I wish there was more goat cheese. Next we had the beef meatballs, these were probably the best meatballs I've ever had! They had a nice spice to them and the tomato sugo sauce was incredible. Then we split the side orders of fettuccine Alfredo and tomato sugo penne. The fettuccine was unlike anything I've had before - it wasn't super thick and creamy. It was amazing. The actual pasta itself was incredible and very clearly homemade. The penne was also to die for!! Our server was incredibly friendly. This spot is super cool because it's inside of a bookstore and they have live entertainment sometimes too. I think the pricing is a little high for the prices but the quality of food makes up for it. Would definitely recommend!

We sat at the bar. Really enjoyed the bartender. He said they were short staffed that night but he was on top of everything. Wine list is Italian wines. List is OK. Ordered the Tagliatelle pasta that has beef tomato ragu. A nice tasty meal. Others had arancini and salads and everyone enjoyed their meal.

Avoid this restaurant. They make mistakes constantly on togo orders…read more On day one, I had ordered a bread pudding and paying for it. After waiting 30 minutes for it, they decide to come out and tell me that they are out of bread pudding. It would've been beneficial to know that prior to paying, however, they did not even offer a refund. Instead, they told me they would give me a tiramisu instead. On day two, I placed an order for a salad with a chicken skewer upcharge. Upon getting my order and opening the container, I saw that the skewer was not in there despite being charged $10 for it. The other items here at the restaurant were not good, and I do not recommend this as they don't want to make good quality food. Lobster ravioli is pretty dry and tough to chew. Tiramisu is missing that earthy coffee flavor. Chicken caprese says that it comes with fresh mozzarella, however, they only gave us small circle of cheese on one side of the sandwich (covers about 1/4 of the sandwich). Do not get the truffle fries, they are the exact same taste as the normal fries. Last, the crab and shrimp dip is highly inconsistent. The first day, it was good and actually had pieces of shrimp. The second day, zero shrimp. In the end, this restaurant has several deficiencies that they do not seem willing to resolve.

If you wver want a quick lunch, with no reservation for a party of 5, please RUN to Ritual House…read more Lets chat about it. Ritual House is located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. I had to travel there for work. Lunch wasnt provided for us that day so we took matters into our own hands, Lol. Ritual House staff was extremely friendly and we joined the 5-10 minute wait list because we didnt have a reservation. We were seated within minutes. Our waiter was a young man who didnt miss a beat. We were greeted by him and he immediately took our deink orders. I opt for a ginger ale. For my lunch, I ordered the GREEK PANZANELLA with grilled chicken- garlic croutons, feta, cucumbers, olives, red onion, roasted heirloom tomatoes, red wine vinaigrette. $18. The chicken was tender and the salad was so good. I can see myself coming back here for sure. Check out these photos.

Okay, this place is so over-hyped. It's all style and no substance, as Paul Hollywood would say…read more The cocktails were good, I'll give them that. But the food and experience seemed like they prioritized the Instagrammability over actual quality. The bruleed oranges were... basically just cooked oranges. Burrata nothing to write home about. My miso black cod, it was almost like they ran out of whatever sauce they normally put on it and instead just drizzled teriyaki sauce from their salmon entree. I'm not exaggerating. Two others at our table ordered the same and were underwhelmed. Honestly, look at my photo in this review and tell me what on that plate is "black miso"??! The cookie table had some decent cookies (I can make better at home). The tiramisu was DRY (you're supposed to soak the ladyfingers!) and among the worst I've had. One plus I'll give them was that the strawberry salad was very interesting visually and quite tasty, though it needed about 4x more of the pretzel mixture to balance. This must be a birthday attraction too, because they were bringing out a dessert with cotton candy and a literal firework about every five minutes and it was so distracting and embarrassing. Cannot recommend coming here unless it's maybe for dessert and cocktails. It's just not worth the money.
