They have a cool free train ride that takes you around the park so definitely don't skip out on that! They also had a small county fair going on when I was here so that was a cool mix to add to an already super fun park! There really is something here for everyone so don't sell yourself short as this is a great local park that is definitely something I'd frequently visit if I lived here as I love places like this and there just aren't many out there like this anymore! It was a long drive on curvy country roads to get there and it was rainy and extremely foggy, but it made it part of the "spooky" fun! We got here and we were greeted with friendly people and even a sucker for our son. It was only $20 for the 3 of us to get in which is very reasonable and a cheap night compared to any local events and activities we usually go to. The trail was pretty long and we were told to go through as many times as we wished. There were tons of little houses to walk through, a maze, a suspension bridge, a concrete tunnel, a crooked house, and many slides. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail, rain and all! It was well lit with Halloween lights all throughout, so it was pretty neat to walk the trails and see hidden spooky figures in the dark. The castle is so cool! It's a mini haunted house with strobe lights, animatronics, curtains to walk through, etc. Our 6 year old was scared by it a bit and got really brave to go in a second time (which made us SO relieved we didn't go to a legitimate haunted house) so it was perfect and not too scary. They've got hot cocoa, hot cider, cold cider, and donuts for sale (very cheap) too so we took advantage of that while we walked the trail. But I can't honestly tell you that. The truth is, I chose to stand there on principle. I had absolutely no intention of swimming, using the slides, or taking advantage of any of the attractions. I simply wanted to spend the day with my grandsons, watching them laugh and making memories together. Instead, I was expected to pay approximately $40 simply to walk through the gate and be with my family. I understand that every business has the right to set its own admission policies, and I respect that. But I also have the right to decide when a policy simply doesn't make sense. So, for four hours, I stood just inside the front entrance near the front door while my grandsons enjoyed the park--not because I had to, but because I couldn't justify paying full admission for services I never intended to use. My hope is that Wings & Waves will reconsider this policy. A reasonably priced spectator pass for grandparents, parents, caregivers, or anyone who simply wants to accompany their family without participating would make the park far more welcoming to families. I truly hope no other grandparent has to make the same choice I did.

My personal negative experience has to do with memberships. I took my grandson into the park to buy a membership and play with his friends, and after standing in line for ten minutes, I was told I had to purchase online, that I couldn't purchase in the facility. So I stepped aside, giving up my place on a long line, went online and quickly purchased a membership. What I didn't realize was that I purchased an additional two memberships that I had been considering purchasing months - maybe even a year - earlier. Apparently they were still sitting in my cart. If you spent any time on their website you would see why this wasn't easy to see or know at the time. As soon as I pressed purchase, that's when I saw that I had purchased three memberships. I immediately told the young lady behind the front counter, and she told me there was nothing she could do, other than have me put my information on a sheet she handed me - she told me that's how cancelations are done. The company refused to cancel my accidental purchases. They told me the price is for unlimited visits and they can't offer that without locking people into a six month contract. I totally understand and agree - except in this situation it was quite clear that I had purchased memberships I didn't mean to purchase and I had asked for help within minutes and there was nobody to help me. Very disappointing and very expensive lesson. I absolutely do not recommend this business.

From start to finish, service was spot on: we were met by Coleton who walked us through the logistics & timing, as well as helped with some changes I requested due to attendance, and our server was Paige who made sure the boys never went without beverages. Pizzas came out quickly so the kids were able to eat & bowl, and everything was timed to perfection so they were able to sing to the Birthday Boy and enjoy cake before heading over for some Laser Tag & arcade time to end the festivities. It was also great to have a table reserved in the arcade area for belongings & whatnot, which also allowed some pitchers of beverages for the rest of the time. The space itself was immaculate and staff was buzzing around to keep tables turned over, bowling balls replaced to their rightful homes for future bowlers and the restrooms (at least the ladies!) were also clean (I know that can be a big deal for families, especially with Littles). All in all, I'd say this was money well spent, especially considering everything that is included in the package. For 7 total kids, I think they played 3-4 games of bowling, we did 2 laser tag games & their arcade time, didn't have to set up, break down or clean up party supplies/food, etc -- id do it again in a heartbeat!
