Cheese board. Large boards plenty to share for 3-4 people.

Bartenders are friendly and wines are on point. Only complaint is that the charcuterie boards are a bit on the small side compared to other wine bars in the area. Ample parking and always busy but never overly crowded. Ambient lighting and can be loud but never too loud to carry a conversation. Members receive 10% off

We have been enjoying Lisa her BarVino since the day it opened. Lisa is an immensely friendly and welcoming individual. Importantly, she is an expert wine purveyor! Her recommendations have never disappointed. She rightfully prides herself on offering and serving only wines of solid authenticity and quality.; domestic and international. Additionally, as a member of the wine club, we have had dozens of exceptional vintners tastings and dinners. Old friends, new friends, family and colleagues have all raved about the good times!

I can't say enough about this place and how much we all love it it's more like sitting at a friends house then a bar. Lisa the owner well it just doesn't get any better than her. The wine selections are incredible. The appetizers are wonderful you will feel at home here. Great for a night of unwinding or out, celebrating with friends Enjoy

This wine bar is top-notch! The vibe is relaxed and comfortable. The team is extremely knowledgeable and friendly! The owner Lisa has an incredible palate and she curates delicious wines from all over the the world. The wines are high quality, yet priced reasonably. They have a lovely-local friendly clientele and live music often with paired wine dinners at least once a month. We strongly recommend becoming a wine club member!

My 'cup' for water. Aka bacteria breeding ground. Not smooth sanded edges for a drinking cup.

I wish I could say I loved my experience because I have wanted to come by for a while but my first try left MUCH to be desired. I love the idea of live music on a Sunday afternoon but it was SO loud I could barely order with the bartender, who stepped away for a while to drink some wine with a group of people who seemed to be with the musician. I sat at the end of the bar with my back to the musician and felt like the woman in a group at the far end of the bar was glaring at me. I had a bubbly rose and a bag of crisps that had a nice flavor but definitely tasted like a bag of crisps my kids left open in the pantry for a while. The chalice my water was served in left me concerned for multiple health reasons. Looked like someone's aunt got drunk and tried cut a wine bottle in half. The guy next to me brought his own water bottle (smart cookie) and his water chalice on the bar next to him had huge spider webby cracks in it, I didn't get a pic because the staring lady made me uncomfortable

    Amazing wine options!!

Bob's Fine Wine is the real deal. This place works whether you're looking for a Tuesday-night bottle or something in the $200+ range that requires you to explain to your spouse why it was "actually a very good value." The selection is impressive. I even found Behrens Family here, which isn't always easy to track down--and at a really good price. That was the moment I knew these guys were serious. What I especially like is that you don't need to be a wine collector to appreciate the place. There's something for everyone, from a solid daily drinker to bottles you'll stare at for six months waiting for an occasion important enough to open them. It really is a blessing to have this kind of selection right here in our town. Great wine, knowledgeable people, and genuine passion behind what they're doing. P.S. They also sell other alcohol, for those strange people who apparently drink things besides wine.

It's super old-school so when you walk in it's very crowded with boxes on top of boxes and it's fairly dark at the back which I was told it was because some of the wines are light sensitive. I love knowing that they are so knowledgeable about the wines that they care for them in the proper way! They do have an extensive wine collection from all over the world and all price points. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Bob, the owner, today, but I did meet Baine, who works for Bob! He was so knowledgeable on all the wines and gave me the best options to try. I'm so excited to give my choices a shot. All I had to do was tell him what I like and kind of the general profile of what I like and he directed me with expert knowledge!

Yet we must choose each step we take with utmost caution, for the footprints we leave behind are as important as the path we will follow. They're part of the same journey -- our story." ― Lori R. Lopez, Dance Of The Chupacabras What an amazing event this was! OC Meets Napa and Baja, presented by Community Health Center AltaMed, brought primarily Latino-centric restaurants and chefs in Orange County and Latino-owned wineries in Napa and Baja together in a celebration of culture. Proceeds from all the ticket sales went toward supporting the Orange County health services and programs that AltaMed spearheads in underserved communities. When I was Housing Manager for the City of Huntington Beach, I funded Alta Med through the City's CDBG program and am very knowledgable about the great services they provide especially in a country that still has an imperfect and expensive healthcare system. What was cool about this event was actually seeing, meeting and talking to the chefs/winemakers. These are the people who chose their path, who chose their own story. The passion from chefs such as Beto Ygei from 930 Sushi (excellent spicy yellowtail), Carlos Selgado of Taco Maria (wonderful scallop here), Gabbi Patrick (I think they did a scallop dish too), Rogelio Martinez of Casa Oaxaca (so excited was he about his sorbets and ice cream), and winemakers such as Alex, Oscar and Lola Llamas (best wines at event and great people too who invited us to hang out afterwards). This is the type of event that I love to attend and is only second to the San Jose Jazz Festival as favorite yelp events of this kind that I was lucky enough to get tickets from Yelp. Was disappointed in the Baja wines as there was little balance or flavor with those wines, and a lot of rustic smells and astrigent finishes. However given that when traveling the local wines always taste better when you are visiting their area (Cinque Terre was an example of this where the wines are fabulous only when you are outdoors on a patio with a great view eating a sublime pesto dish in Italy), I will visit Baja soon and visit the better wineries on their home turf ;-) Thanks again Yelp for this event! It was warm and muggy but there was plenty of food and drink for all the guests to enjoy. There were plenty of Napa and Baja wine vendors pouring wine throughout the event along with restaurants from LA, OC, and Baja. Some of my favorite food vendors were Anepalco's Cafe, Taco Maria, Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen, and Deckman's en el Mogor. Wine was definitely plentiful as was the food. There was a wine wheel that you could spin for $20, which went to the Women in Action charity and in turn you won a wine bottle valued anywhere from $40 to $80. I won an $80 bottle of wine. It was pretty awesome. There were tables for all the guests to lounge and mingle at. The event was held at Mission San Juan Capistrano which I had never visited before. We were allowed to walk around the exhibits while the Mission was closed to the public. Pretty cool. Thanks to Yelp OC for the tickets. My +1 and I had a great time.

He was so friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable... and he let us pick the music (extra points)! We were a group of 9 and did the South OC pickup from San Juan Capistrano. The shuttle van fits a total of 14, so we were joined by another couple and pair of sisters, who thankfully, were really cool people, so it wasn't awkward at all. The shuttle van was very comfortable and Joseph provided waters and snacks, but you can also bring your own if you like. We visited 4 wineries in total, tastings and winery tours were included in the ticket price, and most wineries offer a 10-25% discount on bottle purchases through Best Coast Tours as well. You can even order your lunch in advance, not included in the ticket price, to be delivered during your lunch stop on the tour. We chose that option and enjoyed our lunch seated at a table on the grass listening to live music. Everything was so convenient and we really got lucky with the beautiful weather. Overall it was a great experience, I would definitely recommend Best Coast Tours to anyone from SoCal looking to spend a day out in Temecula without any of the stress of planning and coordinating. The ticket price is very reasonable considering everything that's included. Don't hesitate!

However, since he still can't travel too far, we decided to visit somewhere close by. So, we booked a hotel in Dana Point and had a wonderful two-night trip. On Saturday, July 4th, we all booked tickets for a whale/dolphin-watching cruise. When I booked the tickets, I asked how long the tour would be, and they said it would be two hours. The ticket prices were $78 for adults and $68 for seniors. At first, my brother accidentally bought all five tickets at the adult rate when three of them should have been seniors. I noticed this on the receipt, so I managed to get a refund for the price difference for the three senior tickets. We bought five tickets for the 12:00 PM cruise and were told to wait at Dock 6 starting from 11:45 AM, but the boat arrived a bit late. Once we got on board, the wind was blowing incredibly hard, and the waves were quite high, causing the boat to rock violently. After boarding, a friendly female crew member gave us a briefing at the front. She kindly advised everyone on board not to run, and said that if anyone felt seasick, it would be better to stay towards the back of the boat rather than the front. She also mentioned that if the motion sickness got too bad, they could provide peppermint or ginger candies, and added that there was a bar and snack counter inside the boat. Come to think of it, I once went sailing on a yacht with my friends a long time ago. For the first 30 minutes, I was clapping, taking photos, and having a great time, but then I got so severely seasick that I had a truly miserable time (the same thing happened to me on a cruise trip before). Still, when I rode a boat at Lake Arrowhead last year, I didn't experience any seasickness at all, so I thought I would be fine this time too--though looking back, that was probably because the lake was so calm. But during this cruise on July 4th, I ended up getting so incredibly seasick that I felt like I was dying. About 10 minutes before we docked, the seasickness got so severe that I even started dry-heaving, and it was just awful. I was dizzy, and my stomach kept churning. Even so, it was really wonderful to see so many dolphins during the cruise, and the crew members were all so kind. When I was struggling with severe seasickness, my brother went to inform the crew. A crew member came over and asked if I wanted a peppermint, ginger, or ginger ale candy. I asked for a peppermint candy, and they handed it to me, saying it was free. When I asked, "Does it work?" she assured me it would. I sucked on the candy while sitting at the back of the boat and fell asleep, but later on, the seasickness became so overwhelmingly intense that I ended up throwing up everything and had a horrible time. Anyone who gets easily seasick should definitely take this into consideration before going on a cruise. Still, seeing so many dolphins was a huge highlight.
