Love the Ambiance! They have live music on fridays!!! The service was wonderful!!! We reserved the private room that they have and it was perfect for 12 people!!! We celebrated our wonderful friend on a Friday night at 5:30pm and we stil get to have the Happy Hour menu! They have amazing food! We have ordered triple of what I have posted because they were so good! Their wine selection were great too! We will definitely be back with more friends and for sure will be back with my husband! We all had an amazing time!!! KEEPING IT IN MY LIST OF HANG OUTS with friends and HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!

Such a great local spot to wine tasting or simply eating and yapping in SouthOC. There's a variety of flights you can choose from. The Malbec flight was tasty and my personal favorite is the froze. As for apps we had the garlic fries, flat bread and fried cauliflower. It did not miss! All staff were so transparent with their favorite menu items, and super attentive and helpful. The ambiance is great for a little dinner date, happy hour or intimate get together. Highly recommend.

Five Vines Wine Bar was a great find. I had this place on my list for quite a while but was never in the area. On the way back from a recent trip down to Ramona we had decided to stop in here on the way home and I am glad that we did. The place has a great look and vibe to it and the menu is diverse and has a plethora of wine options from glasses to tasting flights and so much more. We walked in and managed to snag a tow seat high top table near the bar and were greeted and given menus within just a couple of minutes. My lovely wife and I both opted for wine flights and started with the famous cheese ball as we decided on what to eat. The cheese ball was really good and definitely lived up to the reviews I had read. You can truly see how this is a favorite. For my meal I went with the 3-Cheese Crispy Prosciutto Mac + Cheese Skillet. This was cheesy and delicious in all the right ways. There were several other menu items I was looking at so a return visit is definitely in the cards. We ended our meals with some ice cream of the several varieties offered and this was also great. The place is a bit pricey for the portion sizes but the quality more than makes up for it in my eyes. The parking in San Juan is always frustrating and tough. We managed to find a spot in a nearby lot just a couple minutes walk away but be warned that it can be tough to come by. Overall, I was very impressed with my initial visit to Five Vines and hope to come back again real soon. I recommend checking them out if you are passing through or spending time in the area.

This was a cute spot. Perfect for an easy date night or catching up with friends. Loved the casual vibe of this place. They have a great wine selection with good food as well. Pretty friendly service too. Definitely worth a stop next time you're in San Juan! There is paid parking nearby, street parking can be found too.

Very nice ambience. The vibes were great and busy enough that the atmosphere was still lively. The food and drinks were delicious. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area

We took the train out to San Juan Capistrano for the day and were looking for a nice spot to relax and grab a bite before our train back. We came across Five Vines since it's right by the train station and we're so happy we stopped by! We came during their happy hour around 2PM and it was not crowded at all, and very low key. We enjoyed this since we were looking for a more relaxed outing. The space indoors is cozy, and there's also outdoor seating as well. We came for their happy hour and there were great deals! While they had a $14 wine flight available on Wednesdays, we opted for individual glasses ($7 each glass) and some food plates to share. All the wines we had were great, but the food was the real highlight for me. Our hummus plate was tasty, and very fresh! The pita bread that came along with it was warm, and had a great flavor. The Margherita flatbread was also good, and it was nice to see that the spot had quality food options for their happy hour menu. Our server was friendly and attentive and overall made our visit an ideal experience. If I'm in the area again I will definitely consider stopping by and trying more of their food and wine.

After visiting Mission San Juan Capistrano, we were super hungry! I checked my Yelp and found a quaint wine bar that was currently doing happy hour! My husband and I got a little cute table near the bar, and ordered the meats and cheese platter! We waited about ten minutes and our platter came out. What a gorgeous platter filled with various cheese, meats, strawberries, pickles of all types, jams and mustard, and a delicious array of crackers and piping hot bread. When you combine all these tidbits together, you get a savory flavor explosion. I loved the fig jam paired with prosciutto, cheddar, and carrot pickles on warm bread. There were so many different combinations you could put together. My husband loved it too- especially all the tasty meats. It was a truly decadent experience!

Omg. Had such a great time here for our first time. I think I saw it on social media and living in South OC, I did not know this existed. I am a total fan. We arrive just before 6 PM after parking in the city garage that is two dollars per hour. I'm not sure if there's any street parking But the garage was about a 50 yard walk from the door. I think it was still happy hour when we arrive, but that was not acknowledged during the server's introduction. We opted to share a couple of different items, including the crispy chicken sandwich, spinach and artichoke dip and a glass of wine and beer. I love that you can get 2 ounce tasting pores of wine as well as 4 ounce and 6 ounces. We really enjoyed the chicken sandwich was was plenty to share. The spinach dip was good although it was served with I believe some type of French or ciabatta bread, which seemed a little dense or chewy if that makes sense. It wasn't necessarily a dipping spinach dip, but you had to put the dip on the bread. We probably would try something else like the pear and brie skillet or any of the other small plates or charcuterie boards. The ambience is super cool with both inside and outside dining. There's an upstairs celebratory room. I would definitely come back and try other items. Some guests around us ordered salads, hummus, and the olives, which all looked delicious.

Ive been to five vines many times with my husband and on girls night out. Its always great! Excellent wine, great staff and in my opinion the best cheese/charcuterie plates in S. OC! We decided to have my parent's 50th anniversary party in their event space upstairs. Everything was wonderful. Our guests raved about the food, atmosphere, and decor! Suzy the owner was great to work with during the planning process and throughout the party. Autumn was a great bartender and was so sweet! It was such a special night for us and I Would not hesitate to have another party here in the future!

I did some research and somehow last minute I noticed Five Vines Wine Bar on line before a trip to San Juan Capistrano for my birthday. Usually a wine bar has a small food menu, but Five Vines has an extensive one. I was lured by it, wine tasting options, seating inside or outside and 21 years and up age limit. An adult environment is important these days, quieter and cozier. For our visit, Five Wines didn't disappoint, it is easy to find, close to the train station. We were greeted right away, picked our own table, chose an indoor one since it was a tad cooler and their decor is so cute!!! We started with a Flight of Malbec and that was a great choice, you get to try 3 types. We also shared their Pear and Brie skillet which comes with delicious baguette, fun hot app, great for a romantic night out. We continued with a flatbread, got the Oh Honey one with bacon, goat cheese, basil, drizzled with honey, one of the best flatbreads we ever had! I got a complimentary Lava Cake since it was my b-day, they forgot the ice-cream, but they brought it in a nice dish. The cake was melting in my mouth. We also got more Malbec, you can get a taster, a glass, etc. Lots of options, in size, type of wine, they have an amazing menu. Great wines, great food, service, atmosphere. I really enjoyed a night out here, especially a celebration! They have a HH M-F, if you live in the area, take advantage. If you visit San Juan, this could be a fun place for lunch or dinner, nice atmosphere, one of a kind place!

In the heart of San Juan is a stunning yet cozy wine bar. The staff was extremely helpful with selecting the perfect choices in a build-your-own flight! The "Whole Hog" was my favorite. This spot was even the first location to serve a frosé in the area; be sure to ask about their unique flavors! My only regret is that I didn't walk out with a bottle (or two) to bring home with me!

First of all, this place is adorable! The decor and setup is really cute and feels rustic. Secondly, the food was great! Who would have thought we would be full off of 3 appetizers? There were 3 of us and we didn't end up ordering entrees. Our favorite was the brie dip. The bruschetta and spinach dip were both also delicious. The staff and owners are what make this place. They were all so kind and talked to us as if we were more than just customers. While we don't live nearby, we will definitely be back again.

Great spot in SJC! My husband and I always make it a point to stop here if we are in the area. The staff are great, attentive and love to pour! They have a solid happy hour as well, which is always a place. We loved the decor and ambience as well, it's intimate and moody. We usually get the flights which are decently priced and always a great selection. Can't wait to come back to see their rotating menu.

One of the things I appreciate most is that the happy hour actually feels like a good deal. Happy hour runs all day on Mondays and Tuesday through Friday from 2pm-6pm, with $10 cocktails, $6 beer and wine, and a few food specials that are worth ordering. We went with the chicken nachos ($10) and the taco special ($10 for two tacos, with mix-and-match options like birria, carnitas, chicken, and sweet potato). Both were surprisingly generous portions for happy hour items. The nachos came loaded with toppings and could easily be shared, while the tacos felt substantial rather than the smaller portions some places serve on their happy hour menu. The space itself fits right in with the River Street vibe. It's casual, lively, and makes for an easy place to hang out with friends after work or spend a relaxed afternoon grabbing a few bites and drinks. The entire marketplace has become a fun destination, and Capo Leisure House is one of the spots helping make it worth the visit. If you're exploring River Street Marketplace for the first time, I'd definitely recommend stopping by during happy hour.
