I've been to Baramee a few times and I like the convenient location in the crossroads. I've always ordered online and haven't had any real issues. I have noticed that they never give you any utensils or napkins or anything like that. In fact, the day prior to my most recent visit, a friend had brought that up regarding their most recent visit. I wasn't going home so I checked my bag before leaving and grabbed my own utensils and napkins from the bar. I had to go around an individual who was eating there so it was a little awkward. I'm sure they keep more of their attention on the patrons dining in and they're always busy, but it would improve the experience if they included those items automatically. I ordered a couple of appetizers but I ended up not really being impressed by either. I tried the crab Rangoon and it was fine. They're on the smaller side and the filling is a little lacking. I also tried the Baramee Thai Rolls: crabmeat, cream cheese, cucumber, green leaf lettuce, bean sprouts, carrots, in a rice paper wrap. I have two complaints-the first being the roll itself. Two of the three rolls weren't even wrapped, just kinda folded over so everything fell out. The second is that a majority of the roll was lettuce-iceberg, not green leaf. Like over 75% was just lettuce. Definitely disappointing and I wouldn't get again. I ordered the chicken pad se ew for an entree. The size is decent, it could definitely make two meals. The chicken was good, I liked the mushrooms and broccoli, and the noodles were well cooked. The sauce was a little bit greasy but it was good. I went with a medium heat and it was a little too weak for me. Next time I'll go hot. My boyfriend liked his chicken pad Thai. He got the hot level and I liked the spice on it. I'll definitely stop in the next time I want a noodle fix.

Service and food were fantastic! The wok dishes had so much flavor. Tom yum soup was great but overpriced compared to other thai restaurants although the portion was larger. Skip the fresh spring rolls they lacked flavor. Crispy ones were by far so much better. Overall solid entrees!! Medium is a great level of spice and the pork was the most impressive protein.

Dining in was very casual and delicious! The service was very quick and love the large servings that make for great leftovers. Best thai in KC!

We had a large party of 9 and were seated quickly on a Friday night just after 6 pm. We walked from The Loews Hotel and it was a short walk. The food was plated beautifully and was served piping hot and delicious. The servers were kind and fast and even took great group photos for us and honored separate checks too. The portions were big so most everyone took food back to the hotel to finish later. They also had outdoor seating streetside with pretty flower boxes. The room temperature was quite warm (no fans) as we were seated close to the open kitchen counter on a very hot day. Guests in shorts were a lot more comfortable than those in suit jackets and slacks. I would come back again as it is rare to find restaurants with high quality meals, great fast service, and reasonable prices.

Stopped in for a quick grab and go lunch during work, ordered two appetizers. Spring rolls were fresh and tasty, crab Rangoon's were very lightly fried (which I prefer) and was tasty as well. Food came out very quickly, decent lunch rush, and was in and out.

Omg first I'd like to say the service was fantastic. I'd come back just for how quick and fast they are. The crab Rangoon was phenomenal but for this visit the pineapple fried rice blew me away. We left feeling full and satisfied. I'll be sure to keep this place in my recommendations!

This place was out of this world good. We stopped in on a Saturday evening and were seated quickly, within ten minutes. The dining room is a bit cramped, but we were seated at a rather larger table so we didn't mind. The food was absolutely incredible. I cannot rave about it enough. We ordered an order of the crab fried rice and it was so delicious. Service was friendly and quick. If ever back in the area, I'll for sure visit here again.

Tried this Thai spot while I was in Kansas City, and I was impressed. The service was excellent and the ambiance was unbeatable. I asked for hot sauce and the waitress brought me a variety of spicy chiles, chili sauce, and chili powder. So spicy and it was great. For the appetizer, we split the Baramee Thai platter, which came with 2 crab rangoons, 2 soft spring rolls and 2 crispy spring rolls. It came with a peanut sauce and a sweet chili sauce, and everything was so great tbh. Then, we got the Pad Thai with shrimp was one of the best pad Thais I have ever had. I would 100% order this again. The Pad Ka Prao was fine; I didn't love that the "beef" was just ground beef I don't know why but I was expecting steak I think. If you order the Pad Ka Prao, order a different meat.

I'm a big fan. Living in midtown, this is my preferred location for Thai food. I always come for lunch. It's a smaller spot and I've been when there's a wait. They really work hard to turn tables, so if there is a wait it won't be for long. With that said, the service is quick. I like to order Panang Curry in the winter for a nice warming meal. Everything else I've had is also enjoyable - Yellow Curry, Pad Thai, Crab Rangoon. Some of the meals are pricier, but the portions are considerably big and provide value for what you pay.

I haven't had the opportunity to eat here in person yet, but I'm constantly ordering takeout from them. It's my go-to for my favorite shrimp pad Thai (medium spice level) but I haven't left my comfort zone to try something new off their menu until today! I ordered the Pad Key Maw with chicken, along with a half order of Crab Rangoon. It was so delightful! I got medium spice level on this as well, and the spice level was very nice. I could even step it up a notch next time. You really get the basil flavor coming through and the peppers and broccoli and very well-cooked. I would personally like the rangoons with a bit more filling but that's personal preference. All in all very delicious! I hope I get the chance to eat in-house soon!

I went with a group of 6 from work. I find it's harder to concentrate and make too many mental notes when you are with a larger group but you do get more opinions. Everyone was very happy. Our server was fantastic! On top of everything! I wish I knew their name but too much was going on and I missed it. We started with a sampler as an appetizer. I liked everything except the veggie dumplings. I usually like veggie but there was some strong flavor to these I did not like. Everyone at the table felt the same. Still very good though. I got the lunch Singapore Chicken Noodles. I wasn't familiar with how they handled the heat level so I went with mild, a 1 to be safe. I'd definitely go up to a 2. It was very good otherwise but needed a little flavor. Other dishes at the table were drunken noodles, massaman curry, and more. Everyone liked their meal. I would definitely go back. I'd like to try their curry and some other menu items. I particularly like the spring rolls. I'd recommend them for your appetizer.

Unfortunately, the food was a huge disappointment. After work, a coworker and I decided to grab lunch because I was craving Thai food--specifically yellow curry, which is one of my absolute favorite dishes. Since I'm new to the Kansas City area, I've been trying different local restaurants, so we decided to give Lulu's Thai a chance. I ordered the yellow curry, and my coworker ordered the Pad Thai. Sadly, my yellow curry was the worst I've ever had. It was extremely bland and lacked the rich, creamy flavor that yellow curry is known for. I had also ordered a second yellow curry to go for my daughter, but after tasting mine, I immediately asked them to cancel it because I knew she wouldn't enjoy it either. Instead, I ordered pork dumplings to take home since those are another one of her favorite foods. Unfortunately, those were just as disappointing. She took one bite and said they were the worst dumplings she'd ever had. I spoke with our server about my meal, and after leaving the restaurant I called and left a voicemail for a manager. I wasn't calling just to complain--I genuinely wanted to discuss my experience, see if a refund was possible, and I was even willing to come back and give another dish a try if they wanted the opportunity to make it right. Unfortunately, no one ever returned my call. The lack of follow-up was just as disappointing as the food. Good customer service doesn't end when a customer walks out the door, and I expected at least a return phone call. Based on this experience, I won't be returning. I really wanted to love this place, but between the disappointing food and the lack of response from management, I just can't recommend it.

She never mentioned her name, but I was impressed by her kindness and knowledge of the menu. The interior of the restaurant is very cool and fun, with some traditional Thai decorations and a nice feel for an older place. I enjoyed the spring rolls with chicken. Next time, I will pay the $3 add on fee for shrimp. I didn't see that on the menu, but the server mentioned that it was her favorite when she brought the check. I had the panang curry with pork and white rice, medium spice. They brought a spice tray, but this was plenty spicy for me. LOVED it! The veggies were fresh, and the pork was very nice.
