BEWARE! Barbara is incapable of doing anything with ethics or with leather. I took a pair of boots to her and she put on two different heels. We took them back to have them fixed and then she denied ever putting the wrong heels on. It baffles me that people lie so much. She is also rude And doesn't claim ownership of her own mistakes. If you want quality work done this is not the place to do it. They're far better places that treat you with respect don't lie and give you good quality service. read more

Barbara is beyond rude and nasty. The first time i brought my boots in to be repaired a few years ago she was very nasty, and took a LOOONG time to just polish them like 10 days. I just recently went back for new rubber heels and a polish and again, was beyond rude and said she needed 10 days to get them done because she had 8 repairs ahead of me. AND she wanted to be paid in advance. I said never mind. Found another place that was extremely pleasant, and charged me quite a bit more. They had my boots finished in 2 days. I would leave no stars, but that isn't an option. These boots were in rough shape to begin with, so I had no expectation that they would look new again. However, the workmanship was appalling. The leather she added in to repair where the liner had torn away was not even cut to fit well. Glue on the outside of the boot upper, stitching is all over the place. And she lost the insoles! She should be glad I paid in cash up front because I would not have paid her a penny for this! Lesson learned here. read more

Reasonably priced. On time with when promised. Was able to fix an expensive purse for me.

I will give her one star because she did a nice job cleaning my son's boots. However, she ruined my Ann Taylor dress heels through egregious errors that reveal a lack of skill and knowledge about the cobbler's profession. Do not use this business. The upper part of my heel had detached from the sole. This should have been a fairly simple glue job. She convinced me that the sole's had worn thin and needed to be replaced. OK. They are old, maybe so? Two weeks later I return to find a poorly done job with the soles, nails showing. Even worse, she had polished the shoes with black shoe polish, partially covering the white decorative stitching on the upper part of the shoe. How does that happen? She did not seem to understand why this was a problem. But said she could fix it. I thought it was best to give her a second chance. Totally wrong. Again, this should have been a simple fix. There are products that would remove the polish from the thread. a simple search would tell you that. However, she removed the stitching form one shoe and re-stitched them herself. Terrible. Not only does the style of stitching not match, but her patch up job doesn't even follow a straight line. I rarely write bad reviews for anything, but this is beyond unacceptable. I took a pair of high heels to her to have the top piece on the heel replaced. Paid $20 cash in advance and when I went to pick them up she had put on a top piece that was twice as big as the original! It stuck out all the way around the heel. It was so egregiously wrong that I knew pointing it out to her was a waste of time. She is clueless about shoe repair. Fortunately she did not ruin the shoes and I took them elsewhere to have them properly repaired. Waste of $20 but I will never darken her doorstep again. read more

I used to go to this place when it was owned by another person and always got great service and results. Now you must pay for all work in advance and the quality has gone way down. The rubber cleats they put on one pair of boots fell off after 3 weeks. The repaired leather purse I paid for (in advance) had stitches that were uneven and sloppy with threads hanging everywhere. I was looking for a place to clean and recondition my twill and leather computer bag and found Barbara! She looked at my bag and admitted the twill material wasn't her expertise but she examined the leather on it and even gave it a wipe down with some oil for free! I just left this place and OMG, the owner was so rude to me that I decided to not leave my boots to be resoled. She was watching Netflix, not busy and right off the bat had an arrogant attitude like she was doing me a big favor and I was stupid. I asked her why she was being rude I nicely said it was the tone in her voice and how she was talking to me, like someone doesn't know what rude is? I went into have my beautiful boots resoled. Came back with boots of a totally different color. All they owner could say was, "I guess I should have asked if you wanted them polished." I dropped them of at was told they'd be ready the following week, but didn't receive them for nearly a month. I wasn't impressed at all. I took in 6 pair of cowboy boots for repair and paid $100 for each pair. The heel and sole were replaced, which was what I wanted. But the boots were not even polished and a tear in the leather on one pair was not fixed as promised. Also, they were not ready when quoted. HORRIBLE! Took 2 pair of cowboy boots in to be reheeled and she said I needed new soles too so I agreed, had to pay up front, and had to pay cash or check only. Took 1 day shy of 2 weeks and they were a total mess! Heel not even attached completely, chunks cut into and out of the heels and soles, soles not attached properly at all, painted half of the bottom black to try to hide some of the mess, stitching was poorly done and not correctly, heels uneven, soles had a lip on them where they were attached, on and on and on. Posted the pics on FB and everyone was shocked and appalled at the work done on them. Terrible. Do not go there or go at your own risk! No customer service either. Disagreed with me and hung up on me twice as I was trying to tell her how displeased I was. She didn't see anything wrong with them at all! It took me four trips to find the business open during the week during business hours. Three times I went and found a sign on the door stating they were closed. On the fourth trip, the business was opened so I walked in with a pair of military boots and a pair of loafers. The place is filthy, there is no organized customer counter or register that I saw, it was like walking into someone's dirty, dusty storage shed where they work on projects with various odds and ins (like a creepy baby doll in a tiny rocking chair) around the place that didn't look business related at all. I was greeted with "Yes? Hi!" and I greeted back with "Hello" and stated what I was hoping to get repaired. "I can't do that. I don't have that color fabric." (To fix the loafers). She didn't even try to earn my business. She told me she couldn't fix the boots because they were a composite sole and I should just super glue them. There was no trying to earn my business at all and I was sent out the door with, "Sorry, no luck for you today!" I wouldn't even give this person or this business one star based on the appearance of the business and her attitude, but you have to give a star to write a review. If making me feel like I'm wasting her breath is her sum total of customer service, she doesn't need my money or yours!! Dropped boots off to be polished. It was recommended that I get new soles and heels...my fault. Paid up front and three weeks later, my boots look awful. The heels aren't even. One is thicker than the other. The boots were not properly cleaned or polished. They are now discolored. I'm so disappointed in the appearance of my boots. Beware when dropping boots off that they will not be returned "like new". I consider them to be ruined. read more

This was a good business under the prior owner. I left a pair of shoes that were to be picked up today and the place is locked. I wanted leather pads put on the sole of women's shoes (which I have had done before with no problem). This makes the shoes good for dancing since most women's shoes come with rubber or plastic soles. The owner seemed to have no problem with this request. However, when I went to pick up my shoes (I've already paid for this service), the shop was locked. I waited an hour until closing time and called the owner's listed number 3 times during that time. She did not respond and I do not have the shoes I wanted to take on a trip. When I return home in two months I will get my shoes and my money back! Terrible business practice! I took my boots to have the heal replaced - it took 2 mos. to get them back - and, the work was less than satisfactory - the prior owner did great work in a timely manner - I do NOT recommend using T Don's with it's current owner. read more

Terrible workmanship! Brought in 3 pairs of sandals that needed a strap reattached, and a pair of boots that had a small hole on the seem. The sandals were repaired with a small nail. On 1 pair the nail sticks up and catches your skin, and for another the nail obviously didn't work at first so she added another one. She drove the second nail into the shoe sideways, just looks awful. But what I'm really upset about is my boots. She told me that the only way she could fix the hole is by making the stitch show. I was appalled to see that she ran a sewing machine back and forth over the small hole numerous times. This created a larger flaw. What started out as a small 1/2 inch hole is now a 2 inch by 2 inch eye sore. Not to mention it flattened the decorative trim and her machine created large visible needle holes. Ruining my boots! When she said the stitch will show, I thought that meant she would hand sew 1 or 2 stitches in the seam and tie it off on the outside and the stitch will show. What she did was ruin my boots! Its a huge mess! I will never wear these boots like this. Plus Barbara lied to me several times. Not only is she not good at her job but she's not trustworthy. read more
