Thanks so much for this small repair. Honestly my shoes feel brand new. I just needed a couple of holes punched into my new Birkenstocks. They've become really pricey over the years, so my regular hole punch method wouldn't work. Ice pick and flame usually does the trick. However after paying over $100. I wasn't brave enough to ice pick them. I handed them over to this nice gentlemen ( sorry I rolled in right before closing) and presto 4 new holes that look like they belong there. Do not come here!! The worst customer service and work. I have had these flats for 5 years, and the soles have started to peel away. I took it to Austin Shoe Hospital to get it repaired. Attached are photos of it. Pictures speak for themselves. I talk to the guy up front and ask if they're supposed to look like this. Some parts of the sole are not attached. His reply, "It's not falling apart, so you can wear it till it does." I just walked out of there in disbelief. This is the worst workmanship I have ever seen, and it cost me $37. I wasnt going to review this place because after a fight they made things right...except the repair they did is already coming apart so here we go. i took a pair of Ariat work boots in to be resoled. i I was told it would take a couple of weeks, but after a couple of weeks I hadn't heard anything so I called in and was told they are very busy it would probably be another week and they would contact me. After another couple of weeks I got a call that the boots were ready. Keep on mind this is a pair of $200 boots brand new. The repair was supposed to cost $125, but when I arrived the bill was $175. I told the guy behind the counter and he said "Oh they needed an additional repair and showed me the hand written ticket onky the ticket price had been erased and replaced with a different amount. I told the guy I never authorized any other repairs and no kne even asked me about it. I wouldnt pay $175 to repair what cost $200 new. He called the owner, apparently, and after much deliberation back and forth they did not charge for the extea repair. On to the actual repair. The heel of one boot was so badly installed that my foot turned inward on every step so I had to wear down the heel a bit before I could actually wear the boots. O evem let that slide, but here we are not even a year later on boots that are worn once or twice a week and maily walking not really working hard. The soles of both boots while hardly worn are already coming apart from the boot. I would never use these guys again which is a shame because I never had trouble at any other Austin Shoe Hospital. Stay away, mediocre service. Paid almost $200 to get a broken zipper repaired on my favorite boots. The replacement zipper didn't match my other boot at all. When I brought this up, the guy at the counter said "well you didn't ask for them to match." I didn't realize that I had to specify that I wanted them to do a good job. I would at least expect them to give me a call and make sure that I'm okay with that decision before they proceeded, or a heads up before I pay. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Brought my daughter's character shoes in on Monday to have the sock lining glued back down. I explained she had to get on a flight Saturday and needed the shoes for the intensive she was going to. He said they would be ready Thursday. Well, it's Friday and they aren't done, nor will they be done in time for her to take them. So, now instead of a $30 repair, I had to buy another pair of $130 shoes. If he had made ANY indication that those shoes had even a possibility of not being done on time, I would've NEVER left them. I would've glued down the sock lining myself. They don't polish shoes very well. I have come here twice now and each time I noticed multiple errors and sloppy work. They are friendly, but friendly does not mean eager to do what's best for the customer. People who go to get their shoes cleaned, pay attention to detail, the details matter. I had high hopes when I brought my sandal in for repair. They were able to fix it in a timely manner, and the work initially looked great. However, given the cost of the repair--which was nearly as much as the sandal itself--I expected better durability. Unfortunately, after just two wears, the buckle came off again. For the price, I had hoped for a lasting fix, but it feels like I ended up paying for the same shoe twice. I brought my shoes in for repair and was given an estimate of $159. When I picked them up, the employee told me my total was $140, so I paid it and left. Later on, the shop called me asking for an additional $30 because they said the price was wrong. That's not how business works. The price I was given at pickup was their own number, not mine. I paid the total they told me. Calling customers after the fact to request more money is unprofessional and feels like a bait-and-switch. The shoes were fine, but the way they handled pricing and communication guarantees I won't be returning. Businesses should honor the totals they give at checkout--period. read more

Louboutins DEMOLISHED ‍ Mind you, Louboutin themselves sent me the leather and materials for repairs. I brought these materials to Austin Shoe Hospital and showed the communication between myself and Louboutin. Took two pair of Loubs to this place, one sneakers and these. They're actually beautiful before ASH gets ahold of them. The sneakers needed two studs (which I had Louboutin send me replacement studs and leather for what you're seeing here) repaired and they... did... manage that much after a couple weeks - without even a quick buff or clean of the sneakers. Kind of disappointing. Still charged me for the "Louboutin treatment," though. Pretty sure that just meant they recognized they were CLs (i.e. have eyes or recognized the brand name) and think they have a better shot at surcharging customers that bring these shoes in. They definitely did not do anything more than hammer two studs back into the sneakers (I have a handicap so was unable to get the task done myself.) The heels were in such disgusting shape when I went to go pick them up that I left them there and asked them to try again. Someone had literally taken a Sharpie to where the replacement leather - which again, I'd provided directly from Louboutin - should have gone. The smell permeated. Fast forward a few weeks. Where were my shoes?! I called and they said they must have forgotten to let me know they were "done." Okay. We can discuss the sharpie. This time, they'd rewrapped the heels (they say) with the leather I provided initially. The heel portions themselves did not need rewrapped. That's not what the leather was for nor was it involved in the initial repair quote. We can discuss the bubble in the 3/4 wrapped heels. We can look at the misplacement of the red section on the heels that *again* did not need to be rewrapped. We can discuss the offensive heel cap placement. HOW THE RED DOES NOT EVEN MATCH by color nor placement. Amazon sells Louboutin red paint (and really... if you're going to resole something, resole the entire sole..? This is 2025 - patchwork denim isn't even in anymore and sure as heck not patchwork soles! The bottoms of foam pedicure flip flops would look better than this trash even if someone were to go mountain climbing straight from the salon.) The Grand Canyon is jealous of that gap (which was also not mentioned or discussed when I entrusted this business with these beauties) they created here. Disgusting work. Shoes ruined. Even when I brought them the materials direct from the designer. Two months of waiting and... not even Payless would sell these in twice as decent of shape. I've reached out online and by phone. Zero response. I wouldn't want to shell out $2000 to replace them, either. I also wouldn't want to refund the $300 *this pair alone* cost to take out of their possession to prevent further demolition if this quality of work is any indication of how the business is operating/ its direction. read more

After months, I received them and they had not been dyed but spray painted. There was overspray on the insides of the shoes. Coupon Scam Alert: I dropped off three pairs of shoes for repairs in a month; spent around $300.00. Their coupon "program" lets you apply a $5 discount on your "next repair", but the catch is you have to show the coupon at drop off, not at pick up. So I had received the three coupons via email but they didn't honor any of them because they only apply the discounts at drop off, and I "failed" to show them at drop off. It's a scam. It shouldn't matter whether you show your coupons at drop off or pick up. Now for the repairs: The resoles and heels were okay, but one of the shoes had a bow at the top that came unglued. They simply glued it back on instead of finding a more permanent solution. It fell for a reason in the first place, geniuses! read more

I am obsessed with Austin Shoe Hospital in round Rock. we live in Georgetown and drive all the way here just to use them for their high quality work for great prices. I bring my Louboutin red bottom heels in to get protective red sole and heel caps put on and they are incredible and it's a seamless and perfect addition to make the shoes more comfortable to walk in while protecting that red bottom style. adds grip and protects the heel spike as well. all around I wont go anywhere else for my shoes! read more

Cory, the man behind the counter is truly a jerk. I paid almost $200.00 (199.??) to have new soles and my ankle boots re-dyed black. the boots also have leather straps. I walked in the boots only two times and one of the soles separated from the boot and the part under the straps weren't dyed at all. Cory(he finally called the owner who gave me his name because he refused to tell me) saying he didn't have to tell me. I finally spoke with the owner, who told me to leave my boots and he would come and look at them. Very unhappy with the service and outcome of my Christian Louboutins. My heel wasn't fully repaired as discussed, I was told to put some nail polish on it. Also the red rubber bottom that was glued or bonded to the shoe is very poorly done and isnt very attractive on this particular shoe. The work is quite frankly sloppy. The cost was excessive to not have my fairly new shoes restored properly. I was also not contacted when my shoes were completed like I was told. I wouldn't recommend going to the establishment especially with nice shoes that you love. Please don't waste your hard earned money. My mother recently dropped off a brand new pair of shoes to have the caps replaced for a rubber cap to prevent slips for shoes she is wearing to a wedding. She is 67 years old. We went to pick them up and the work was not the best quality. We discussed it with the associate and he sent them back with a little more direction to see if we would get a better result. Today 4/17/2024 we stopped in to pick up the shoes and were helped by "Lenord" we explained to the associate that the caps they did were exactly the same as the last time. He proceeded to get hostile and derogatory. Stating that they aren't fixing shoes for Beyoncé. I stated that there was no reason to become rude especially because he was speaking to my 67 year old mother in that way. I told Lenord that simply if that if rubber caps is not the type of product they use to replace the cap then it's something they could have stated so that we would have made a different choice. The associate doubled down and said that he's not used to having to talk to sensitive people because clearly I'm a faggot and that I'm not used to talk to a real man. He took back the shoes and I told him that there was no need to send them back. He gave us the price which was different than what was on our receipt. He tripled down and said that in America we pay tax. My mom handed stated that she wanted her shoes so we could leave. He stated that he wasn't giving us anything until we paid. She had the card out for him to charge us for his service. I asked for the number for the manager or the owner so that I can talk to them. He refused. I proceeded to call Round Rock police because he was attacking my Mother and being verbally abusive. While we waited for the Police to arrive the associate got on the phone with someone. He stated to the caller that he would take care of it because the Round Rock Police officers are likely one of their customers. What is clear is that this individual is a poor representation of any business. His hostile and abusive behavior is uncivilized. I took in my Dan Post caiman boots to be resoled and they ruined them. They put on a gaudy plastic sole instead of a Dan Post or a leather sole and they screwed up the insoles leaving a huge lump under my right foot. I took them somewhere else to be fixed by someone I trust and the repair will cost as much as a new pair of boots. This was the first and last time I will ever use Austin Shoe Hospital. read more

Hard pass! I came in with my Great Dane service dog to have two of my leather purses shoulder straps replaced. The man behind the counter told me no pets, I responded that he is a service dog. He told me that he was too big and not allowed in the store. I politely told him again that he was a service dog for mobility support. I redirected the conversation to my reason for the visit - to have the purse straps changed out. $175 for basic leather straps $125 for cloth straps on my coach purse. I'm still in shock over the prices! I politely told him I thought that was awfully high and would be shopping around. No response from him I thanked him for his time and left. I went to another place and was quoted $20 to have the leather straps replaced. If you don't want to throw money away, avoid this place. read more

I have been debating writing this review after leaving their store in tears when I went to pick up some boots today that I had dropped off. The man in the store was not only rude but literally scolded me for having dropped off my shoes the day before with some other worker there. He said that the other worker knew nothing, was completely incompetent, and proceeded to scold me about the color of the material used on the bottom of the shoe. I really should have looked at the reviews of this company prior to dropping my boyfriends boots off, so this is partially my fault! I requested that they ONLY replace the rubber cap on the heel of his boots as the other part of the heel was not damaged. When I picked them up, they replaced the entire heel. It changed the character of the boots as the heel was previously a light brown color with variation. Now, the heel is dark brown and there is a massive finger print on the side where the paint was removed. Upon further inspection, there is a black paint mark on the upper leather that must have been from when they were sloppily painting the new heel I did not ask for. When I picked up the boots, they explained that they don't do repairs in house, but send them to a factory (which I was unaware of). Also, they still required me to pay for the boots even though they were damaged. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We found Austin Shoe Hospital while looking for a repair place to fix a travel suitcase for work. They were fast and did a great job. Everyone has their own experiences; our experience was pretty good. The luggage had a fabric tear near the zipper. They were able to sew it back up. It cost around 70 dollars for the repair, which isn't too bad considering the case cost around 400 dollars. The lady that helped me was friendly and had great customer service. Overall, we will be back with any more suitcase issues! read more

I won't go back - not to this location anyway! I had 2 pair of cowboy boots re-heeled & when I picked them up, they were so polished & shiny that they look cheap. One pair wasn't supposed to be shiny...its supposed to be a matte finish. I didn't ask for them to be cleaned or shined - just replace the heel. Recently I took a pair of white Born sandals to have the elastic replaced where the heel strap meets the front of the shoe. Totally NOT HAPPY with the repair. I asked for jus the elastic to be repaired because to clean them would mean I had to pay to have them redyed....really? Ok - so I asked the man behind the counter to just replace the 4 small pieces of elastic. When I go to pick them up - he had changed the buckles and replaced only the elastic on that side. I didnt' ask for new buckles - there was nothing wrong with the ones that were on the shoes - or did he break them? What about the other side? He claimed that I didn't ask for that - WHAT? Why would you only replace 1 side of the shoe and for $24.95? I asked if he could replace the other side & when I went to pick them up yesteday, they were done - but the price was now $59.43. I know the time involved is considered in the price - but come on! - almost $60 for less than 4 inches of elastic and the shoes still need to be cleaned. The woman in front of me returned after less than a week with a repair that fell apart. Instead of standing behind the repair, he wanted to charge her more! She would have ended up spending twice what the shoes cost originally. I pointed that out to her (I happen to have those exact same shoes), he got pissed and yelled at me.
