Dennis stayed right with him while I checked in and got our boarding passes. And shoutout to "Q" at the ticket counter for making that process quick and easy. Dennis then walked us through security up to his office on the second level where Matt met us to examine the injuries. Matt put 9 stitches in my husband's hand that had been sliced open and checked out his other abrasions. (It could have been so much worse!) Then they walked us to our gate to assure flight personnel that he was fit to travel. Our flight out was delayed, so we were able to rejoin our group and not miss our flight. And shoutout to Austin Bergstrom Airport for employing a PA to have for emergencies such as this!

After finding that out, our flight was delayed and the only way to get to the terminal was through the airline shuttle and they wouldn't pick us up until an hour and half before our new delayed flight time. So, we had no where to sit at for another hour and half and went back to the main Austin airport TSA to sit in a general area to relax and have access to food. I like that the Airport terminal is small, but TSA here was different than their main building. They had everyone remove their laptops and iPads/tablets which slowed down the lines because a lot of us assumed since their main building down the street had us keep it in our bags the same applied. They have a small little spot to purchase cold sandwiches, snacks, cocktails. Also, a taco truck outside which is cool and different.

There is also a shuttle that takes (approx 15 min ) to get to the main terminal if needed. While waiting for your flight , there is a mini cafe to order coffee and to go food or buy last minute souvenirs. My favorite part was the outdoor taco food truck to get your Tex-mex on before leaving Austin.

You just wait your turn to push your tray on the active roller to go thru scanning. The day I was there, a TSA agent was wrangling the trays from this hearding area to the final track for screening. He commented to a flyer, "if you don't push it, it doesn't get screened." Also, once the screening is complete and comes out the other side, your tray will easily drop into the collection bin after you push it to the end. Other than that, I found it easy to get thru as always as TSA pre-check flyer. I must say, though, I don't like the facial recognition part of the process, but I respect it. As always, save yourself a potential hassle and get to the airport early to get through the checkpoint if you aren't TSA pre-check. The regular line can be brutal!

Personnel will come and give you instructions. 3. The procedure is once inside the gate you put on your flashers. 4. Drive no more than 10 miles per hour. 5. Personnel will guide you waaaay around the aircrafts like they do when planes land. 6. Typically drivers don't get off the bus, personnel will unload your bus. 7. Once passengers and luggage are offloaded, you take the same path you came in. I love private plane passengers...they tip the driver:)))

Imagine my delight to find this little pocket of whimsy at the east end of the Barbara Jordan Terminal near Gate 14 (as if you're headed toward Delta and the Public Patio). The first indication of mystery is the infinity symbol on an overhead sign that would otherwise name a vendor or amenity. I simply had to stop & check it out. Procedure: Look at all the creative decor and signage. Smile. Step up to the kiosk, answer the questions, and generate your boarding pass (only virtual now, after originally being printable). Imagine yourself phasing through the physical barriers of reality into a different dimension of space & time! I had a prompt and painless time checking my bags. The employees were super friendly and helpful at the desk, as well as the gate. Planes were clean, pilots and staff were friendly. We flew through quite a storm 30 mins prior to landing and despite that and the turbulence the pilots landed the plane better than any landing ive ever had. The key in my mind with this airline is to book the seats with more leg room, which actually I find to be more space than other airlines and THEN the seats also recline. I got the package that included checked bag, extra room seats, and carry on item. Yes its more, but the final price was still HALF what it would be with any other carrier. No frills as far as no in flight snacks, but id rather get something decent at the airport and bring it on the plane anyways.

I will list the issues i had that I expected included by other airlines. Upon checkin i was greeted with an "78.00 upgrade PER flight" for my small suitcase in addition to my carry on. The seat was hard and not contoured for longer than a 20 min flight (my flight was 2 hrs). There was no recliner. All beverages (including water) was 5 dollars. My advice is to stick with a airline that provides at least a few amenities- your experience flying will be more pleasant. (For me the flight ended up costing more than my regular airlines leaving me with a double whammy) Update.... while posting this review my gate was changed with no notice. Just happened to check as the boarding was supposed to have started. We got to the new gate with 1 minute before doors closing. No text no app notification- nothing. I WILL NEVER FLY THIS AIRLINE AGAIN!
