After finding that out, our flight was delayed and the only way to get to the terminal was through the airline shuttle and they wouldn't pick us up until an hour and half before our new delayed flight time. So, we had no where to sit at for another hour and half and went back to the main Austin airport TSA to sit in a general area to relax and have access to food. I like that the Airport terminal is small, but TSA here was different than their main building. They had everyone remove their laptops and iPads/tablets which slowed down the lines because a lot of us assumed since their main building down the street had us keep it in our bags the same applied. They have a small little spot to purchase cold sandwiches, snacks, cocktails. Also, a taco truck outside which is cool and different.

There is also a shuttle that takes (approx 15 min ) to get to the main terminal if needed. While waiting for your flight , there is a mini cafe to order coffee and to go food or buy last minute souvenirs. My favorite part was the outdoor taco food truck to get your Tex-mex on before leaving Austin.

Dennis then walked us through security up to his office on the second level where Matt met us to examine the injuries. Matt put 9 stitches in my husband's hand that had been sliced open and checked out his other abrasions. (It could have been so much worse!) Then they walked us to our gate to assure flight personnel that he was fit to travel. Our flight out was delayed, so we were able to rejoin our group and not miss our flight. Personnel will come and give you instructions. 3. The procedure is once inside the gate you put on your flashers. 4. Drive no more than 10 miles per hour. 5. Personnel will guide you waaaay around the aircrafts like they do when planes land. 6. Typically drivers don't get off the bus, personnel will unload your bus. 7. Once passengers and luggage are offloaded, you take the same path you came in. I love private plane passengers...they tip the driver:)))

The luggage scanning system has been upgraded! No more is there one rolling lane. Trays can be…read moreplaced 3 deep in two rows. You just wait your turn to push your tray on the active roller to go thru scanning. The day I was there, a TSA agent was wrangling the trays from this hearding area to the final track for screening. He commented to a flyer, "if you don't push it, it doesn't get screened." Also, once the screening is complete and comes out the other side, your tray will easily drop into the collection bin after you push it to the end. Other than that, I found it easy to get thru as always as TSA pre-check flyer. I must say, though, I don't like the facial recognition part of the process, but I respect it. As always, save yourself a potential hassle and get to the airport early to get through the checkpoint if you aren't TSA pre-check. The regular line can be brutal!

Imagine my delight to find this little pocket of whimsy at the east end of the Barbara Jordan Terminal near Gate 14 (as if you're headed toward Delta and the Public Patio). The first indication of mystery is the infinity symbol on an overhead sign that would otherwise name a vendor or amenity. I simply had to stop & check it out. Procedure: Look at all the creative decor and signage. Smile. Step up to the kiosk, answer the questions, and generate your boarding pass (only virtual now, after originally being printable). Imagine yourself phasing through the physical barriers of reality into a different dimension of space & time! Verdict: Fun for all ages of folks with a good imagination, sense of humor, and decent reading habit in the sci-fi and fantasy genre. Cost: Zero dollars and just a few moments of time. Worth it!

My most recent flight from Austin to New York was pretty good. I arrived a couple of hours early. I was able to check in before online on the app. I still needed to drop off a bag however. The crew members in Austin were all smiles and nice warm and welcoming energy for it being 4:00 AM. We made some small talk as they took my bag and then directed me to head to the TSA security line. The TSA security at this hour had 2 people in front of me. The whole process took about 5 minutes. There was plenty of food options open and available which was nice. My gate at this hour wasn't packed. There isn't a lot of outlets or even wireless charging stations at the gate in Austin. Boarding my flight went smoothly. The onboard service was attentive and done with a smile. There's extra snacks, pillows, alcohol you can buy. The jetBlue experience is a definite go! Please note there is not first class or fancy bells and whistles like the larger airlines, but jetBlue is pretty good at being he best in the lane they compete in.

I've been trying to get two of them move for an extension two days out, but I can't get anybody on the phone. Nor can I break it apart online, and nobody will call me back. I even tried to make a reservation a new one, and nobody still wouldn't call me back absolutely horrific Customer Service first time I've ever booked tickets with JetBlue and I'll never do it again. I've flown over 5,000,000 miles in my life so I'm not the new guy on the block that doesn't know what he's doing. Their Customer Service sucks.
