I do my own nails at home when I have free time and I'm very particular with the gel removal, shape of my nails, cuticle removal, the shape of the gel overlay and the design. Ruby did my nail prep and the first half of the design then Ari had to take over to finish my nails because my nail design took longer than expected. That was on me though for only booking an hour gel manicure session instead of being more accurate with the other services that I needed (cuticle removal, gel overlay, and nail design on each finger). Nonetheless the switch was seamless and I would request either one of them again to do my nails! Ruby used an e-file to remove the gel polish I had on and she was very gentle and careful - did not burn at all unlike experiences I had at other nail salons. She cleaned up my cuticle very well (I have thick cuticles that need to be removed or else my nail bed is too small for nail designs). I have a pretty small nail bed to work with so I was very impressed with both Ruby and Ari's intricate work on the design I requested. They offered me complimentary drinks (I got tea with an orange slice) and it was such a thoughtful touch to the overall experience! I booked my next appointment at check out, and Ruby and Ari ensured I booked a longer session because they already know I will be coming back for everything I mentioned above I've officially found my go-to salon. First, she was able to accommodate me for a last minute same day appointment. I also appreciate that she can be reached via phone (many places nowadays only book online...). Her suite has a luxurious spa feel with soothing music, calm lighting, and a comfortable room temperature. She provides a cleansing cloth prior to the session for self-cleaning, applies some cleansing oils beforehand herself to maintain the skin, and during the session applies soothing products immediately after the wax and before moving on to the next section. She tests the wax on a small area of skin before starting to make sure the temperature is comfortable, and she explains how she never double dips, which I greatly appreciate. Very clean! She takes her time, and the pain was very fleeting (what pain?). You also get a soothing aloe gel application at the end, PLUS a little gift bag with a body cream sample & and an after-care tips card. I highly recommend, and will definitely be back!
