Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming from the minute you walk in, and they immediately offer you a beverage, which is such a nice touch. I usually get the Bronze Pedicure, but this time I decided to try the Pumpkin Cream Pedicure and OMG--it was amazing! Karin is wonderful. I was so relaxed that I honestly forgot about everything else for a while, which is exactly what I needed. The Pumpkin Cream Pedicure includes the most amazing 10-minute massage AND steam, which I've never had with a pedicure before. Such a relaxing experience from beginning to end. I've been coming to Golden Nail File for about four years and have generally been very happy with the service, which is why I was especially disappointed today. This was by far the most unsatisfying pedicure I've had here. The technician seemed completely uninterested and did the 15-minute massage so halfheartedly that I actually asked her to stop partway through. I understand having a busy or tiring day, but customers shouldn't receive a service that feels like the technician simply doesn't want to be there. There were several other things that made the experience feel careless. Everyone around me was offered a drink, but I wasn't. I didn't receive the usual pillow with a towel for my lap, and very little attention seemed to be given to my cuticles or the care of my nails. When the gentleman at the front desk asked how everything was, I told him, "It could have been better." He didn't ask any further questions or seem concerned. The front desk was also very disorganized, with the employee repeatedly leaving the desk while customers were waiting in line to pay. I've always liked coming here, so I hope this was simply an unusually bad day. But today's service was not at all the experience I've come to expect from Golden Nail File, and I left very disappointed. read more

I've gotten removals here twice because it's close to my school so convenient, but both times they've been so harsh with the removal and left my nails thin and floppy. The front desk service is good and location is convenient though. First time with builder gel, the lady was trying to pop it off and I asked her to please not do that and she giggled and stopped. But even then my finger nails were super weak but I chalked it up to maybe it was overfiled already. This time I think it's a different lady, and it was gel X removal with a normal mani, and it was fine in the beginning but she started to efile so hard after the initial gel x was taken off that I flinched many times and now my nail is really weak and bendy at different parts of the nail (some sides are not as weak and some of the middle parts are very soft - which definitely was not the case before she started filing after the gel x part was off). I just got it done a few hrs ago and a part of my nail has ripped. Furthermore I know natural polish isn't something technicians like to do but I have to for my school, so more organized colors would be helpful. The hand massage was very nice though. read more

I think i found a new nail salon i really like!! This place is such a vibe. I recommend making an appointment because they do get really packed and a great way to avoid waiting around for so long. You can call or book online. Also, this place is huge! I didn't realize they had more chairs in the back! I got a classic pedi ($35) + gel ($15) and it came out to $50. I also added the callus removal which is additional +$8 but they have so many different packages you can choose from! I also love that they offer complimentary drinks! They have other drinks like diff kinds of wines, mimosas, champagne, vietnamese coffee (iced/hot), tea, and even matcha! I made an appointment to come into this nail salon and get a manicure and pedicure because they had really great reviews. The staff was super friendly and offered me a beverage (I got a matcha) upon sitting down. When I asked for a certain color, the girl doing my nails told me they didn't have the color from the book and told me to choose another color. Usually most salons offer me a closer option if they don't have a color but she wanted me to pick a completely different color... so instead of the pink I wanted I opted for a yellow. Then I got cuts on both my toe during a callus removal and my pinky finger. I thought they would offer a slight discount for this inconvenience but was only offered the first time visit discount. Then once I got home I noticed the tips of my nails were chipped already ( I got gel) I really wanted to like this salon because overall it's clean and the staff was friendly but maybe it was just an off day for some of their employees. read more

The NAILS deserved a little photoshoot because Ruby and Ari did such an amazing job and would give more than 5 stars if I could! I do my own nails at home when I have free time and I'm very particular with the gel removal, shape of my nails, cuticle removal, the shape of the gel overlay and the design. Ruby did my nail prep and the first half of the design then Ari had to take over to finish my nails because my nail design took longer than expected. That was on me though for only booking an hour gel manicure session instead of being more accurate with the other services that I needed (cuticle removal, gel overlay, and nail design on each finger). Nonetheless the switch was seamless and I would request either one of them again to do my nails! Ruby used an e-file to remove the gel polish I had on and she was very gentle and careful - did not burn at all unlike experiences I had at other nail salons. She cleaned up my cuticle very well (I have thick cuticles that need to be removed or else my nail bed is too small for nail designs). I have a pretty small nail bed to work with so I was very impressed with both Ruby and Ari's intricate work on the design I requested. They offered me complimentary drinks (I got tea with an orange slice) and it was such a thoughtful touch to the overall experience! I booked my next appointment at check out, and Ruby and Ari ensured I booked a longer session because they already know I will be coming back for everything I mentioned above I've officially found my go-to salon. After putting off a pedicure for far too long, I finally stopped in for a much-needed visit. I've been to this salon a couple of times in the past and had decent experiences, so I hoped this would be a relaxing treat. Unfortunately, this visit didn't meet my expectations. I appreciated that they were able to take me in without an appointment that was a plus. However, it was clear that the nail tech was rushing through the service. I had my headphones on and was trying to stay in my own zone, but I noticed two of the nail techs speaking to each other and pointing at my feet. I took my headphones off, thinking they needed to ask me something, but they didn't which left me feeling a bit self-conscious. What really disappointed me was that the previous polish on my toes wasn't fully removed before the new color was applied. I noticed too late to say anything, but it was frustrating. I was also rushed to pay at the end, and when I asked if my toes were dry enough to drive, the tech said yes but then told me they were still wet when I gently checked. It was confusing and made me feel like my concerns weren't being heard. This was meant to be a little act of self-care, but I left feeling more upset than refreshed. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I do think the staff could benefit from a reminder about customer care and attention to detail. For the price, I expected better. read more
