Most guys would rather change doctors than barbers, and I'm no different, but scheduling with the person who previously cut my hair for complicated, and I was desperate for a haircut. I was eating at Jonsey's Fried Chicken across the parking lot and noticed this shop. I looked it up on yelp and saw the numerous positive reviews and accompanying photos and figured I'd give it a shot. I called the number and made an appointment for noon the follow day which was easy. I walked in and promptly sat down and gave him the style I wanted and he went to work. The shop was empty (that's the perk of getting your cut the day AFTER a holiday weekend) so he was able to take a little extra time and 40 minutes later, I came out looking great and feeling even better with my hair finally cut and beard trimmed. Cost was $45 and I added a tip on top of that. I paid cash, but he said he took credit card and Venmo as well. read more

He really needs to reign in his temper, learn some diplomacy and PR skills, and treat fellow human beings with respect. Joshua was amazing and very talented. Recommended a taper instead of a full fade and I got mad compliments on the style. I really appreciate that! Last thing he did was slap some hot shaving cream and took a straight razor to the back of my neck under the hair line. I feel that takes a lot of skill and I was surprised on that. He says he has a history related degree so I really enjoyed our conversation on history as I love history myself. After recommendation from a coworker, I decided to give this spot a try. I now feel confident in saying that this will be my new barbershop. Unless you are familiar with the area, you likely will not find this spot unless your eyes catch the vibrant flag sign. It's in the rear of a fairly rundown strip mall, and is not very visible from the road. Walk inside, though, and you know you're at a true barbershop. The interior is graced with leather and stained wood accents, steampunk-era lighting, and two flat-screen televisions. I got a neat, masculine vibe overall. There were three stations, but Josh was running the show on his own. I got to talking with Josh, the proprietor and main barber, and realized that is he a great guy with a true passion to the craft of barbering. He has an impressive resume, having worked for two other barbers over the years. He was also very personable, which certainly helps if you're sitting one-on-one in the chair with him. I asked for a medium fade cut, and Josh completely delivered. My cut turned out great, and I'm quite satisfied. I was even given a massage and a straight-edge neck shave which were both bonuses in their own regard. Pricing is very reasonable, and credit cards are accepted as payment! This is convenient for people like me who often forget to grab cash from an ATM - plus, I mean, it's 2018. Get with the times, other small businesses out there. I walked in here for a haircut while visiting family in the area. Joshua gave me possibly the best haircut of my life. I have very curly hair (caucasian-ish) and he was able to cut it on top perfectly evenly with a scissors, and fade it down just slightly to #4 on the sides. Sounds simple but most barbers cannot do this perfectly. Joshua did. 3 months later (!) the haircut still looked good, albeit much longer. His time is no more valuable than ours. We go in for a cut and are told to come back in 40 mins. We return 30 minutes later and he tells us sorry I can't do it today and he has someone else in his chair. WHY DID YOU SAY COME back in 40. What a complete waste of time and an Uber fare.
