Extremely disappointed. We walked in fully expecting there would be a wait. But, upon walking in there was no greeting, no hello, how are you, how can we help you. Nothing. We sat down and waited just as we would at every other barber shop. Some time later a lady walks up with an appointment book and asks if we have an appointment. We did not so she replies with "well, no one told me. Everyone is booked. You can wait and see if someone cancels their appointment. It may be 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours." Moral of the story, had the experience walking in been more pleasant, we would have waited all day for a good haircut. But it was clear they had their "regulars" and weren't in need of new clients and we were treated as such. This was a good lesson of stick to what you know & just go where you know you're welcomed. read more

Very interesting experience. Their cleaning processes between clients are less than I would hope for. Each client used the same cape; it seems there was one cape per hair stylist. They do provide a quick sweep of hair from the floor between cuts. They don't seem to sanitize their combs or brushes from one person to the next. We received haircuts with a very nice gentleman, who had an entertaining, humorous attitude. He was playful with the kids. Cuts turned out to be about a 7/10. If you are choosing to mask up for safety during COVID19 this is not the place for you. The man at the reception desk was SuPeR fun and friendly (Scott). I was less than impressed with the female owner's behavior while I was there. She puts out a pretty sassy vibe, and was actually demeaning to a client in front of several other people. That is not acceptable in my book. Perhaps we caught her on a bad day (?) ...but regardless, I am not okay with what I saw. Sadly, my family will not be returning to this shop. read more

After trying to cut my child's hair myself and failing terribly, I found this barbershop through YELP! I called and they were able to see us immediately. The staff is so friendly and courteous and Marie did a fantastic job of making my 4 year old feel comfortable and happy with his new haircut. I would highly recommend Barbers on the Boulevard to anyone seeking a new barbershop that gives off warm vibes. Friendly staff, excellent service, reasonable prices and super clean facility. Place is awesome. Can compete with the "upscale" places in Atlanta like American Haircuts but isn't near as expensive. And I've never felt more comfortable chatting with a barber. Very down-to-earth people. I asked for a "gentle" fade, meaning I didn't want it to have an intense look to it, and Nickie delivered. It's clean-cropped and fresh looking but without the hipster look everyone is wearing these days. Will certainly be going back. read more

I came here to get a beard trim. I had made an appointment ahead of time with Debbie, the owner. Debbie knew exactly what to do with my beard to give it the best look for my face and for the final length I described. After trimming out my beard she asked if I wanted a shave and I said yes. She used a hot towel prep and then used a straight razor to clean up my neck, cheeks, and chin area. She also asked if I wanted my neck and ears shaved and I had that done as well. Because I had a short hair cut (was cut a week prior at a different location) she talked about the importance of blending my beard to my hair cut and how it will make both look better by doing so. She followed my beard, neck, and face shave with a nice oil rub and neck/shoulder massage. Afterwards she talked beard maintenance and products I should use. I am so impressed with the service, the friendly atmosphere from all of the staff, and the way my beard looks afterwards. I'll definitely be back and would recommend this place to anyone needing a haircut and especially a beard trim. Their prices are very reasonable and it's easy to see why this place is so popular. My son's barber/stylist did an amazing job taking his shoulder length hair to back to a short, above the ears cut. The price was reasonable. I called to get an appointment for any day after school this week and I was told they were booked but they promised to fit them in if I'd go ahead and bring the boys after school. After our 30 minute trek to get there we were told they couldnt do it, that they were booked. Haircuts may be good if you can actually get one. I thought they were rude. The lady at the front couldnt have cared less. We wont be going back. read more

I have been a customer of Debbie's from her beginning. Back when she worked out of a small shop on Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro. So glad to see she has her own shop now. Barbers on the Boulevard is so much better than the typical offerings from national franchises shops. Old fashioned Men's Barber Shops are a dying breed. You can get a hair cut and beard trim in any of the franchise stores. But at Barbers on the Boulevard you can get a hot lather neck shave and face shave. Followed up with hot towel treatment which feels so good. Not going to get that at a franchised shop. The new shop is in a good location and easy to find. Lots of parking. Easy accessibility. Even Handicapped friendly if you have bad knees like me and do not want to hike up stairs or long walks through a strip mall. I was there on the first day the shop opened. I look forward to coming back often. read more

Waited 45 minutes today when i asked about how much longer the receptionist acted put out. Was told another 15 minutes before my son was going to be seated. If the wait time was an hour I should have been told upfront. We were in town for a wedding and didnt have that kind of time. Ended up at Supercuts. Your customer service left much to be desired today. Business says walk ins are the backbone for them.....i really wonder. Dont bother if you have other things to do. read more
