First off, the staff.. Friendly enough, but they don't know what they're selling in some cases and the green ones just aren't trained properly. Ask a question about a specific item, and you'll, at-times, get a shrug, a guess, or a gentle push toward buying something they think might work. Other times, you'll get a jbiwkedgavbke individual who can be friendly. On one end, It's the kind of customer service that leaves you doubting your purchase the second you walk out; while on the other, you'll be happy enough. All is good enough to fit the norm and I would give it a high rating, but what really turned my head the other way, though, is the direction this store is heading. They quietly got rid of their firearms section, clearly as a political move to appeal to the mainstream. That might earn them points in certain circles, but let's be honest, sportsmen don't follow woke trends, and we don't check our rights at the door just to make people feel comfortable. If a true sporting goods store doesn't stand behind all aspects of the outdoor and sporting lifestyle, then what are they really selling? I was on my way to an appointment and had to quickly figure out something to get myself where I needed to be. I googled a bike shop and this spot was super close and also still open - score! I walked my bike over and the attendant was super nice and ready to diagnose and fix whatever was going on. I was hoping it wasn't going to take too long and whatever needed to be fixed would be fairly affordable - I was in great luck! Everything took about 20 minutes, so impressed! There's also a full cafe when you walk in, which I didn't partake in, but was definitely tempted to! The cafe worker did offer me some water while I waited though so that was really nice! Def will come back here to check out the cafe, and maybe add on a cupholder to my bike :).

I asked for them to finish what they started and I would pay for the components. They would have to install them and set up the geometry as part of the "original" fitting. They refused. I then asked for $150 back, as that is the hourly rate and time they said they required to finish the unfinished job. They refused. I went to and got a new custom fitting. Another $500. Guess what? Saddle was wrong! Cranks wrong! Geometry wrong! Peddles not needed! The only thing they got right was the handlebars and shifter location. I got more new components put on. I rode almost pain free from that point further. I returned about thirty days later for a quick tweeking. Rode most of the summer. Then I had a small issue. Called them up. Guess what? They saw me, ran me through a secondary fit and some tweeks at no additional fee. That is proper service. That is how you treat your clients.

Battery Explosions!…read more This guy, who isn't licensed and runs a business from the living room that he rents, had my $1600 e-scooter for a month to do a 2 day job. I rode it 25 feet and the battery shut off, smoke started coming out and then it exploded and remained in fire for 30 minutes. The fire marshall told me if the scooter was indoors it would have burned down a house. This guy is dangerous and unlicensed. Try a real store like Victory e bikes.

This review will focus on the overall experience and the Intro to Whitewater experience. First off,…read moreANYONE can do this trip, do not bother with the beginner trip down the river. Unless you are medically unfit, you can do this. Exceptional customer service sums up the team at Jim Thorpe River Adventures (aka LOC). They are extremely well organized which makes for a great trip. Everyone from the moment you enter LOC until the very end was polite, professional and wanted to make sure you have a great time. Some tips to follow: you only need to arrive 15 minutes before your group time, this allows ample time to get situated. Buy their pre-made lunch, it is well worth the 10 bucks, bring extra water on the raft (especially in the summer). Use the bathroom before you get on the bus (and be quick). They give you a dry bucket for your lunch and items, yes you can bring your phone in a dry pouch. Wear a hat and a sun shirt, it is hot and sunny, without much shade. Jump in the water when you have the chance !! If you are a "full figured" person it will be difficult to re-enter the raft, be aware. The trip down river is very safe and well organized. The guides are VERY safety aware ! If you are nervous and listen to them, the team will get you down the river without a hitch ! A few suggestions: don't go on a busy holiday weekend, it can get crowded on the river, the safety briefing takes a long time and you a sitting in the sun (remove your vest and drink water), during July and August I would imagine the water is very low and slow (if it is a dry summer)...best only if you want to have a relaxing rafting trip. Overall, a bunch of fun. The entire family had a great time.
