Went here the other night for my friend's birthday and even though I've been here before, I didn't know they had a life size connect 4 game in the back. We probably sat there for an hour or so playing and only left to checkout the bar across the street. We usually hit this place up after the other bars to wind down. It's hit and miss as far as the crowd is concerned, but it's definitely a great concept. Have a beer and challenge some one to Galaga....very chill place, decent sized patio too. read more

Y'all know I love a good dive bar and this place didn't disappoint. This place has some old school arcade games and big sized jenga you can play out on their patio. My favorite beer is a delirium and they had the dark ale one here so tried that out and loved it. If I'm ever back in Dallas I will make sure to stop by here again. read more

If you and your friends have no idea where to go out one night or you all can't all decide on the same place this is where you should go. It has a great atmosphere that pulls people from every age in. Old school pinball, arcade machines, skeeball and jumbo jenga!!! Also great music! Free arcade games, connect-four, and jenga, what more do I want? We came around 9:30 PM so the place wasn't crowded yet. We didn't have to wait in line for any games so that was a plus for coming early. The games were free except for Mario. I ordered the 'spring fling' which tasted like juice. Note, that's a good thing because I am really picky when it comes to mixed drinks. Everyone kept asking what my drink was because it was in a cute jar cup. I loved the drink and it just cooled me down while we were sitting outside in the patio playing connect-four. I know this place gets really crowded on a Friday night so I don't know if I would come here to hang out. It was on our bar-hopping list so that worked out well for grabbing drinks. Cool place. First time coming here even though I had passed it many times before. It was kinda empty, granted it was a Monday but it was pretty laid back and an interesting place to hang out. Had a few cool games especially old school video games. Good drinks, food and atmosphere. The staff were very nice and helpful. Would definitely come back to hang out again :) read more

Cool little dive with old school arcade games and a patio area with life size Kinga. Hands down the best thing about this place is the beer fries. OMG I am salivating just thinking about them. Really consider going tonight just for that. Why only 3 stars? Minimal parking available and you can smoke on the patio....I reeeeeeally hate smoke. Pretty cool place. It's no competition when compared to Kung Fu Saloon in Austin though. Unfortunately the skee ball machines were broke...lame you guys need to get on that! I cant complain about their beer selection, they had some nice crafts on draught. Went here tuesday night it was free play tuesday soo all the games was free and 3$ draft not bad. Parking sucks all was reserved for san miguel restaurant for some reason.It was a nice out so we sat outside patio area where they have giant jenga setup. I ordered the quesadilla not really that good plus our ordered took forever also had the cheese potato wedges it was good. Service was soo soo it took forever for her to get the check soo we just went up to the bar to close it. Probably be back on a monday half off food. read more

A place where a geek can be geek and still get hit on by college females, or shall I say hot chicks!! This place is great because its so casual yet classy since its not really a bar of a bar itself. The concept is totally fun so that drinking is not the main entertainment of the party and just lounging around old friends while talking or playing video games or even playing life size jenga with close friends. This place seems to always be full and pack but it doesn't stop a lot of trafficker to come stop by this crowded place because of the fun atmosphere that it brings. read more

Environment was inviting. Giant jenga, giant connect four, and arcade games? They had those there! Staff was on top of clearing glasses and the bartenders were quick at pouring up some drinks! I went to Barcadia last night for a belated birthday celebration. Drinks, reeeeally tasty food, giant Jenga, skee-ball, a Charlie's Angels pinball machine, and other fun old school arcade games--yes please! It kinda sucks that you have to valet if it's a decently busy night, but I can look past it because it was a fun place with a decently assorted crowd. If it's cold outside, you might want to bundle up. They have heat lamps on the patio so you won't totally freeze, but it does get a little drafty inside. Anyhoo...I thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely be visiting here again for more Barcadia shenanigans. read more

I would have given this place 4 stars but the bartender really left a bad impression. I was visiting Dallas and 6 of my friends took me there because they said it's a fun time. The nostalgia of the video games and skeeball itself was great. Drinks were reasonably priced, however, the bartender was simply arrogant and rude. I'm from NY, so I am used to "service without a smile". We went to the bar waiting patiently while he served others. He finally came to us and we ordered 4 shots of Crown. After we told him, he said "Listen, tell me all your drinks now, because I won't make any other drink for you." Understood, but not the right way to convey the message. So I tested his theory and ordered an additional shot. He slammed down another shotglass on the table--breaking it and glass flying everywhere. Way to go champ. read more

This place needs a facelift! That bathroom, good lord! One word: SCARY! I've been several times and the service has been sloowwww every time. The food is decent depending on what you order. Pass on the cheese board, I was not impressed. Last time I ordered the falafel but they were sold out, so that was disappointing. I did enjoy the caprese salad. This bar is unique with it's old school games including skeetball and pacman. The games line the inside of the building. The patio is a nice atmosphere and includes Connect Four(lifesize) and a few Jenga games which make for good entertainment. 1 main bar so when it's busy it's hard to get a drink but it's unique for sure. The skiball machines are missing balls, the jenga game is missing pieces, some of the games don't work quite right, but the food is good, the beers are cheap, and the people are good. Also, on Monday night they have half priced food & you can't beat that deal anywhere else on Henderson. read more

Barcadia is a pretty cool concept, but I was disappointed with it. I went on a Monday night because of the great special of half price drinks and food, but all the games were either being worked on or were busted. It is very divey and hipster like, so you may feel out of place if you are sporting JCrew like I was doing that night. The giant jenga was lots of fun, and I found a new found skill of mine. Parking is a bitch, and luckily it was a slow night because if it was a Saturday night I would have passed and went to Kung Fu instead. read more

This place is ridiculously fun. Me and a friend went there to have a couple of drinks and play skee ball, Jenga and some of the arcade games they have available. They have some pretty great beers on tap and the staff is very friendly and attentive. Overall, I would definitely come here again. Valet parking is about 5 dollars and I recommend doing this since it's a lot easier than finding a place to park on the street somewhere. read more

Love this place. Love the atmosphere, the classic games, and the booze. As with most fun places in Dallas, parking can be a bit of a pain. Also, it's old-ass games, so there are usually one or two in need of repair. That aside, it's a blast. Really glad that they have one in Ft. Worth now too. While the FW location has better food (in my opinion), I like that the original Dallas location is a little divier. Easily becoming my favorite place to drink in Dallas. I enjoy hanging out with friends and drinking in most bars but it's so much more fun when you are kicking their ass at mortal kombat at the same time! And the more you drink the better you get at skee ball. The giant Jenga is a lot of fun too. And they have giant connect four! If you get there early like between 7-9 you can enjoy all these things and not have to worry about the crowds. After that point, it's pretty crazy. Food is great - bar food but unique and has a variety of unusual dipping sauces. Drinks are great - excellent cocktails and a huge beer list. There are a few things I really like about this place. They have a pretty great beer selection, fun old-school video games and a great patio. However, I always leave this place feeling like I don't really want to return because the service has been consistently terrible. The first time I went, I was ignored when I wanted to order food at the table even though I made eye contact with the waitress about 10 times. Then it took over an hour to receive the food I ordered and it was just a dessert! I have been back to order from the bar and have been ignored, waiting 10 minutes or more at the bar on a Wednesday night. I can't figure it out. It was mega cool and trendy when it recently opened, but now its full of douche bags and the music is mega loud. It is weird that Dallas D-Bags love Barcadia, because the music is awesome.
