LOVE this place. God bless the people who came up with Las Palmas. First of all, please never change the queso- it is heaven sent and we always take it to-go (I'm NEVER leaving the rest behind) and it tastes even better the next day. This queso is probably the best I've ever had. BTW it is a LIL spicy but I can let that slide. Another great appetizer option would be the Nachos Al Carbon with wagyu. Super good too & honestly you can even order it for just one person as a main dish-- the serving size is big enough. BUT THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW AT LAS PALMAS ARE THE WAGYU FAJITAS!!! Incredible. Comes with flour or corn tortillas, beans, rice, and obviously the works: sour cream, guacamole, lettuce. You know the vibes. Speaking of vibes, they're always there at Las Palmas. It is always busy but I genuinely don't care and never mind waiting an hour and a half for our table. It's worth it. This place is a confirmed staple in Dallas. Probably come here once a month if not more often. Thank you for great food and good service too- that's hard to come by nowadays. TRY THIS PLACE OUT! This is your sign!

We came in on our trip to Dallas as this spot was highly recommended by friends. We ordered some dishes and drinks off the happy hour menu and everything was delicious! We ordered the crispy cheesy taco and tamales covered with queso. We ordered one chicken and one beef taco, so we could try each. While I preferred the chicken, my boyfriend preferred the beef, so there's something for everyone. We were blown away by the salsas though. We kept going back and forth about which was our favorite but couldn't decide. Each had a nice spice level and smokiness to them.

Been wanting to try this place for a while now! Came here a while back but the wait was too long so decided to come back. We were the first people here lol, but service was great- very attentive. I got an iced tea with agave and it was delish. My friend and I got the carnitas and chicken fajitas and they were so good! The salsa was so flavorful (along with EVERYTHING else)!!! The inside is a bit dark lol but that's just my old eyes talking hehe but very calming!

I'm so happy. This was a great call. Dad and I came here for dinner and it was perfect. We came on a Monday at 630pm and it was packed but we did get a table outside with no wait. Surprisingly, it wasn't too hot. The service was top notch. I had my eye on the manager as soon as we came in (super cute ) the hand tattoo will be in my dreams tonight. He brought dad and I a guacamole on the house to perfect our dad daughter date. How cute is that! Isai was our server and he was super attentive. We never had to wait to order anything. The margarita was delicious. The guacamole was just how I like it with no tomatoes. We got a huge serving! I got the waygu fajitas and I recommend to do it! Don't hesitate. It was so dang good. If I lived here, I would be a regular. I would also hope that the manager would ask me out.

Had such a nice lunch with my family at Las Palmas! This was our second time visiting this location and it definitely lived up to the hype again. Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. Even though we didn't have one, they were still able to accommodate our group which we really appreciated. The service was amazing...everyone was so polite, attentive, and fast. The drinks were delicious and the food came out surprisingly quickly as well. They also offer valet, but if it's packed, there's parking across the street too which was convenient. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner during the weekend. We'll definitely be coming back again!

This place has the best fajitas I ever had. I got the mesquite chicken fajitas. The chicken was so juicy & smoky. The bone marrow butter is the reason why it's so good. I wished it came with more than 3 tortillas or at least 4 since I don't put too much meat in my fajitas. I also tried the hickory grilled ribs. It was kinda salty, but the barbecue sauce was ok. The meat was very tender & falls off the bone. The fries that it comes with were alright. There was a little of wait, but I didn't mind since the food was good. Our food did take a while. Our waitress was very attentive & filled our water. There was seating inside & outside on the patio. I was glad that we were sat outside since it was a beautiful day today. Besides inside was kinda dark. Overall, the food is a little pricey, but totally worth it. A must are their fajitas.

I really want to like this place--it's a great neighborhood spot to hang out, whether with friends or solo. The drinks are solid, but the food consistently misses for me, and the service was very slow this visit. I sat on the patio and it wasn't busy, but my appetizer still took over 30 minutes. I ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp, and somehow it was both over- and undercooked. It came with a side that seemed like a slaw, but it was flat--no seasoning, no real flavor. Service didn't help the experience. I had to get up a couple of times to get assistance, and no one checked in--I definitely would've ordered another margarita if they had. I like the vibe, but they need to tighten up the food and service.

I was introduced to Las Palmas at the food and Wine festival at the Arboretum recently and I knew that I had to visit the actual restaurant. I came here with my dad on a Sunday morning for brunch. We didn't order very many things unfortunately but we did try the Elote and flautas. I enjoyed the flautas, but the Elote was giving more of like a corn salad than actual Elote. I wasn't a really big fan and it was served with crackers which I found kind of odd. Chips and salsa were solid. Service was solid. Would definitely go back to try more items, just not a fan of the elote. The restaurant seems to have a really cute vibe, but I did think it was a little bit too dark especially for morning time. I could understand a darker lighting situation in the evening absolutely though. The patio space also looks super cute.

Came here before going to work. Me and my coworker were trying out various restaurants in Dallas and this place had a high rating so decided to try it out. There was a long wait line but we told the server we can eat at the bar and got seated immediately which was nice. Otherwise, we wouldn't had made it to work on time. I got the Akausghi wagyu fajitas full size ($51). After I got the food, full size means double the portion on everything like meat, rice, beans, etc. I thought it would be double the meat only. I gave the rice, beans, flour tortilla, to the lady who sat next to me. Food was very delicious! Also got complimentary chips and salsa and it was super good as well! Coworker said it was okay, he's mexican descent so he prefers mexican food and not Tex-Mex. interior and exterior is very lively and the restaurant is very dark inside. The parking is street parking which is free. But we had to park down the street.

Outstanding upper-end Mexican food. We have been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint. The chips and salsa are great, and we had friendly service throughout. Las Palmas does both Tex Mex and Mexican right. Delicious enchiladas and tacos and superb beef fajitas and grilled shrimp.

The tacos were decent, but not worth the super long wait in my opinion. Very salty. The rice and beans were also just okay. I think my favorite part was actually the chips and salsa - solid. The restaurant had great ambiance and the staff were definitely doing their best to tend to the large parties as well as the smaller ones. I walked here from a nearby hotel, so I can't speak for the parking/valet, but it was definitely very busy. This place seems like it would be good for a more upscale group gathering, but the super long wait time on a Thursday night (1hr 25 min for two people) and just okay dishes would lead me to a more casual restaurant for my taco/Mexican food fix.

A staple of Uptown, Las Palmas is often referred to as the best Tex-Mex in Dallas. While I may be biased as it's my local spot, I do think Las Palmas is excellent. The location is super cute and always packed. You definitely need a reservation or have to go super early to get a spot. There is valet parking as well as street parking, which can get a bit crowded. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. There was nearly no cheese and the other ingredients were similarly sparse. It was still good, but it in no way was the greatest I'd ever tried. I hope that this was a 1-off experience, as it truly was the best. I will report back next time. Service was great both times- they were very careful about my Cilantro request (none) and even though they gladly prepared dishes without it, they also made a list of things that already had none by default. Salmon ceviche, Pork al pastor, Carne asada, and the machete were also very good. The machete is a specialty- it had the house made masa and fillings can vary.
