Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. Even though we didn't have one, they were still able to accommodate our group which we really appreciated. The service was amazing...everyone was so polite, attentive, and fast. The drinks were delicious and the food came out surprisingly quickly as well. They also offer valet, but if it's packed, there's parking across the street too which was convenient. A staple of Uptown, Las Palmas is often referred to as the best Tex-Mex in Dallas. While I may be biased as it's my local spot, I do think Las Palmas is excellent. The location is super cute and always packed. You definitely need a reservation or have to go super early to get a spot. There is valet parking as well as street parking, which can get a bit crowded. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. This place has the best fajitas I ever had. I got the mesquite chicken fajitas. The chicken was so juicy & smoky. The bone marrow butter is the reason why it's so good. I wished it came with more than 3 tortillas or at least 4 since I don't put too much meat in my fajitas. I also tried the hickory grilled ribs. It was kinda salty, but the barbecue sauce was ok. The meat was very tender & falls off the bone. The fries that it comes with were alright. There was a little of wait, but I didn't mind since the food was good. Our food did take a while. Our waitress was very attentive & filled our water. There was seating inside & outside on the patio. I was glad that we were sat outside since it was a beautiful day today. The drinks are solid, but the food consistently misses for me, and the service was very slow this visit. I sat on the patio and it wasn't busy, but my appetizer still took over 30 minutes. I ordered the bacon-wrapped shrimp, and somehow it was both over- and undercooked. It came with a side that seemed like a slaw, but it was flat--no seasoning, no real flavor. Service didn't help the experience. I had to get up a couple of times to get assistance, and no one checked in--I definitely would've ordered another margarita if they had. I was introduced to Las Palmas at the food and Wine festival at the Arboretum recently and I knew that I had to visit the actual restaurant. I came here with my dad on a Sunday morning for brunch. We didn't order very many things unfortunately but we did try the Elote and flautas. I enjoyed the flautas, but the Elote was giving more of like a corn salad than actual Elote. I wasn't a really big fan and it was served with crackers which I found kind of odd. Chips and salsa were solid. Service was solid. Would definitely go back to try more items, just not a fan of the elote. The restaurant seems to have a really cute vibe, but I did think it was a little bit too dark especially for morning time. Came here before going to work. Me and my coworker were trying out various restaurants in Dallas and this place had a high rating so decided to try it out. There was a long wait line but we told the server we can eat at the bar and got seated immediately which was nice. Otherwise, we wouldn't had made it to work on time. I got the Akausghi wagyu fajitas full size ($51). After I got the food, full size means double the portion on everything like meat, rice, beans, etc. I thought it would be double the meat only. I gave the rice, beans, flour tortilla, to the lady who sat next to me. Food was very delicious! Also got complimentary chips and salsa and it was super good as well! Highly recommend sitting in the covered patio on a cooler Texas day if you're not a fan of extremely moody(read dark) lighting. Here's what we got: - Queso Blanco: Fantastic and highly recommend. My go-to spot if I can get a reservation. This place is always so popular, and for good reason. I went with my girlfriend on a Thursday evening and we were sat quickly after arriving. The goose in the garden drink is our favorite, however not on the menu any more. Isai and Kenia were helping us out all night and they were amazing! Accommodating, prompt, and great personalities! Went twice in one weekend! The first time was a busy Friday night. We weren't able to get a resy but found standing room near the bar and enjoyed the fun vibe and great margaritas! This evening I had two guys that work in my building come and help me put together my patio set that I bought from Wayfair, which I will leave that for another review. These guys worked really hard because everything came in a ton of pieces. Everything had to be put together. It was very labor-intensive so in addition to giving them cash I really had to get them some dinner I ordered from Las Palmas, a place I have eaten at before and loved it. Well tonight they did not disappoint. I had the fish taco plate which was so flavorful. I can't even begin to describe it. One of the better Tex Mex spots in Dallas! Las Palmas has an elevated vibe and is a bit dark inside. I like the akaushi wagyu fajitas, which comes with sides of refried beans, rice, cheese, guac, pico, sour cream, and bone marrow butter. The steak is tender, and the tortillas are soft and fresh. In my opinion, both the margaritas and red/green salsa here are about average, but an average marg and chips & salsa is still pretty good. The rice could use a little extra salt, but once you mix it or eat it with other stuff like beans, cheese, or even on your taco it's great. This is somewhere that gets very busy so you need a reservation or be prepared to wait 30+ minutes plus if you come for dinner time or during the busy lunch times. They also offer valet service here. I shared the chicken fajitas for two, it comes with two rice and beans plates. I really enjoy the green salsa here, that might be the best thing. Cosmo was okay. I think the margaritas are better and what they are know for here. My friends had the brisket taco plate and chicken enchiladas. Service is always good here. It is very dark in the inside of the restaurant. They have a very beautiful patio to din out on and they allow dogs. Bathrooms are well kept here. We ended up flagging down other staff members multiple times just to get condiments and drink refills. To make matters worse, my sister's meal was made incorrectly. Again, we had to chase down another staff member to get our waiter's attention. By the time he finally showed up, we were completely over the hassle. She sent her meal back and we decided to leave. Overall, poor service and careless mistakes ruined what should have been a simple pleasant lunch. Needless to say... we won't be returning!! Our waitress was very polite and made many call backs to our table as well. I've been to Lost Palmas several times now, and the food keeps me coming back. The fajitas with lobster are always a standout -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of the best things on the menu. The sirloin steak for the fajitas is also consistently great, super tender and well seasoned. The cocktails are always on point definitely worth trying if you haven't yet. The only thing that keeps it from being a full five is the service, which can be hit-or-miss depending on who you get. I've had visits where the service was completely inattentive, and others where it was genuinely some of the best service ever. It's a bit of a toss-up.
