I've been coming to BB for furnishings for a long time, but especially recently as I just moved. They lean mostly classic and elevated but also have an endless selection of fabrics, rugs, wallpapers, etc. for other styles. I particularly like their rugs from Jaipur and Loloi, which have some cool modern styles in addition to the traditional ones. BB has a good selection of pillows, blankets, frames, candles, trays, etc. too. They gave the store a refresh last year, which now has more decor items, outdoor seating, and some nice wall art toward the back. They seem to be adding a more relaxed, casual pieces in addition to the very classic stuff. I have only bought individual pieces from them, but they have always had full-service design, and there's a cool studio area where you can peek at plans and samples they are putting together for clients. It's all very high end, and I imagine this is where they do most of their business. I have seen their homes in Luxe magazine, and I believe they have done some hotels too. I stopped in Barclay Butera yesterday to buy one of my favorite candles and was greeted by Rochelle who was very helpful and showed me other Barclay Butera candles and I purchased the Signature candle, that's now my favorite scent. I also enjoy the beautiful picture frames they have in stock and of course I couldn't resist to buy two of them. I was browsing the store of their top quality home furnishings and I found dining room chairs that I hope to order soon and I might even order the light furniture that was displayed above the table. I have shopped there for many years and they even offer Design Services for your new home or if you're remodeling or updating your current home. I am at a loss as to what to do about this company. I ordered multiple bar ware pieces from them at the beginning of January. I still have not received everything. I have emailed and called, with no response. I completely understand there could possibly be challenges due to COVID, shipping delays due to weather, or supply chain shortages, but if that IS the case, they are not passing these details on. The Customer Service has been terrible, and I sorely regret using this company. read more

It was not a good experience. I spoke with a designer named Debra Leeds with regard to a renovation. Her quote was way over budget, and I later discovered from talking to a few insiders that he purposefully does this in order to earn more money. Please be advised should you choose to hire him. He has been ripping clients off for several years with huge markups on sale merchandise, design fees, and home renovation fees. read more

This is a review for Shop Barclay Butera onlone. Terrible customer service response time for phone calls and emails. I think it is the same person who handles both. I tried to cancel my order half a dozen times on three different days without anyone ever being available. No one answers the phone. Unfortunately calling during their hours of customer service does not mean much. I finally had a person answer and I explained that I needed to cancel my order. The representactive wanted to know why. How intrusive!!! I was then promptly told that the item had shipped when moments prior tracking did not reveal that information. I was told I can not cancel my order that I must wait for the order to arrive and then pay a shipping and a restocking fee as the order is in a shipping cue. I never received any information on restocking or shipping fees. Very poor! The representative decided send me this information after I asked to cancel. Ridiculous!! Horrible customer service!! Needless to say I have contacted my credit card company and filed a claim. Think very carefully before you order from this company! read more

Their variety of sofas, bedding, lighting, and much more is suitable for any style. I'm absolutely obsessed with their accent pillows since they can add a pop of color or texture to a neutral couch. We do not recommend Barclay Butera. We ordered furniture from Palecek at the beginning of February, paid 100% as requested and expected a delivery time of 4-6 weeks as announced on the website. Unfortunately the furniture did not come, no apologies either, no information, at our request the delivery date was corrected. The new delivery date was not met either. When we again asked for a new delivery date, again no delivery, in the meantime we have moved. I wanted to cancel the order. I could have done it 50% in just one hit. In the end, I was offered a price reduction because of the long wait. I forwarded the new address with the information that we will not be available at the new address until the end of the year and that I need a binding delivery date in order to organize receipt of the furniture. The new delivery address was never confirmed, the furniture then arrived at the new address at the end of June without tarking information or delivery notification, without which we were unable to organize anything due to our absence. Of course, the announced price reduction was never realized. Rude, unreliable and incidental furniture produced in the Philippines is way overpriced at medium quality. read more

The sales peeps let you look in peace and I always find tons of stuff I would just lurve to buy...if I were a rich girl that is. Since I'm not a rich girl, I look and get tons of design inspiration. Run for your life !!! Oh, how they talk a good game but their design services are truly less than adequate....ok, let's be truthful, simply sophomoric. If it's in a catalogue then they can order it, but as for vision, they kept complimenting me on my suggestions and saying ' good idea, let's do that'. Yes, their showroom is beautiful, but Mr. Butera must have created it as the designers they gave me must have done their creative training on-line. Dated, tired designs that were popular 10 years ago, and didn't fit into a modern home. No thought; no flair; no intelligence....try other design firms or trust yourself, or you'll end up with what looks like the high-end version of Target (or Sears). Over rated, under qualified and mid-level taste is a compliment. read more

We strongly recommend you avoid this firm. We live out-of-town and depended on good quality and professionalism. They assured us fair and reasonable pricing and, being busy professionals who could not spend a lot of time overseeing the furnishing of a ski home, we depended on their judgement and word. The few negative comments here are laughable as we even studied his contribution to the interior design world as part of our college curriculum for interior design at USU. You're lucky if you're able to work with him and your interiors will be stunning without question. read more
