I ordered a boatload of furniture from them . The chairs arrived after 9 weeks. they were defective and had to be returned (the seat cushion was way too big for the frame). The sofa was supposed to arrive in 2-4 weeks. It has been 13 weeks and I am still waiting. I just received notice that it will be at least another 2 weeks (if they ever arrive!). Go to Pottery Barn or West Elm if you want this kind of furniture. It will be less expensive and you know the firms are legit. read more

Their artwork, accessories, faux plants, furniture and design concept transformed my house into a warm and inviting HOME! The communication with the office and designers was over-the-top amazing! I ordered three stools from this company. It looked like they shipped but I never received any other notification. I had trouble contacting them and finally I got a reply that they cancelled my order! I replied back and didn't get a respond right away and then they refunded me! We ordered a large dining room table which took weeks to be delivered, and then once it finally came - it came unassembled.. It was 300lbs and we had to build it by ourselves Ikea-style.. Additionally, we ordered 6 dining room chairs, and they delivered us the counter stool versions instead.. we had to store the large, dirty shipping boxes in our house for weeks as we waited for the company to pick up the counter stools and deliver the correct product.. for our troubles, they gave us a 10% discount... The lack of communication and response from Pure Salt forces me to rate them at a two at best. I have called their store multiple times and nobody ever answers. Additionally, it takes days if not weeks to get a response via email. I also had an issue with their website that said 20% statewide and it took almost a month for someone to call me back regarding this. Lastly, when I received my most recent order the Gable Four Door cabinet was severely damaged upon delivery. They took it back but now it's on backorder and they cannot even give me a guaranteed date as to when I can expect it : ( So all in all my experience has been disappointing. read more

Took 4 emails to get a response. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I didn't read the reviews before purchasing, and I regret it. I placed an order on 9/29. First, part of the order (a chair) was refunded the day after I placed it, with no explanation. I reached out to ask why, but they never replied. The rest of the items arrived quickly, but one vase was broken, and its size didn't match the website description. I contacted them multiple times, and although they eventually sent a replacement 2 weeks later, they didn't address the size issue at all. Communication has been extremely slow (taking 7-10 days to get a response) and imprecise (they still haven't addressed the size issue). I suspect I'll have to send the vase back and pay a return fee for their mistake. Let's see if they get in touch with me. read more

I was super excited to find Pure Salt Interiors and after several months...and disappointments I would rename it Pure BS. I placed an order for a piece in September. The item said it was in stock. Then they responded to my email asking for an update that it was not in stock. Finally got it late March. The piece is NOT as represented on their website and their response is that the piece is 'perfectly imperfect'. Give me a break. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. Looks great online but what they deliver is a major disappointment. Looking at othere reviews I can see this is just the way they do business - perfectly imperfect!?! I have long admired their work on Instagram so I decided to order a piece from them. It was a nightmare. I ordered the item on January 12th with a listed restock date of March 17th. I reached out a few weeks after the restock date (April 10th) to see if there was any update. They informed me that due to tariffs (which took effect after my order was made and the restock date) that the new restock date was August 31st. In May, I received a notification that my order had shipped. The tracking links would not work so I reached out in June to see if I could get an update. I was told that this shipment was a system error and that I was not getting my order. They again referenced the August 31st date and offered a 15% refund if I kept the order. I asked for clarification on June 17th on when I could expect the order, and it had already been six months since I placed the order, and I heard nothing back. I sent two more emails (6/19) and (6/23) and still received no response. Email on 6/24, no response. I sent another email on 6/27 requesting a refund and finally got a response back providing me with a full refund. Weeks later I get a call from a delivery company trying to setup delivery for an item from Pure Salt, it was the coffee table I ordered and had received a full refund for. I did not accept the order but how unorganized must this company be if they had no knowledge of this product making its way to me. It seems if you are local (live in CA) the experience is much better, but I would be wary ordering items from the East Coast as service was poor. I truly wanted to love this company and order many more pieces from them, but this one experience turned me off this company entirely. read more

Ordered a $300 throw for my couch in August. Never got a confirmation, never got any indication it was back ordered. It arrived late December in a box with no invoice, return info etc. I contacted them several times to try and return it they said they have a no return policy but given the circumstances they would take the throw back if I paid the $22 in shipping plus a 15% restocking fee. I ordered a table from their website and it wasn't supposed to get delivered for 3 months. Two days after I ordered it I called to see if I could cancel it. No one picks up the phone their so I emailed and they refused to let me cancel which I don't understand since it wasn't getting delivered for another 3 months. They finally agreed to cancel the table but refused to give me my money back, instead they offered a gift card. Unfortunately the table was $1120 and I didn't need anything from their store for that price. I tried to sell the gift card on craigslist for a steep discount and got no hits. I eventually ordered one of their art prints which interestingly is being delivered from Serena and Lily, which allows returns yet Pure Salt does not. I personally find it really challenging to buy anything for my house without the ability to return it if I get it home and realize it's not a good fit. I won't shop at Pure Salt anymore for the lack of flexibility when it comes to returns. I'd double check Serena and Lily's site before purchasing anything here. I ordered a few small items from Pure Salt weeks ago. The items said they were in stock and would ship out accordingly. I never got any updates on the items, waited for weeks. Finally sent Pure Salt an email asking for an update, and never got a response back. Sent another email, finally days later I got a response with "we will follow up on your item delivery estimate". Then they cancelled my order. Terrible customer service. I was going to use their design services for multiple rooms in my house, but this has just completely turned me off. Get your S***t together Pure Salt! Amazing designs, poor execution on basic handling of customer orders. By the way - MANY of their furniture items are from big box stores (Pottery Barn, Serena and lily, etc). Pure Salt just upcharges the cost of those items, and then does not allow returns even though the stores where the furniture originally is sourced from, allows returns. read more

Their order cancellation policy (which is not clearly stated on their website but does not allow cancellations after 24 hours even when order is unexpectedly delayed weeks after ordering) is in violation of federal law, which states that if an order does not ship in the time window quoted by the company, the consumer must have the option of a full refund. Judging by other reviews, I am not the first person who has run into being told I cannot cancel a backordered item - make sure to remind them of your FTC protected rights. Buyer beware. I bought a console from Pure Salt that arrived damaged. I immediately notified them and shared pictures. They replied asking for pictures (even though they had already been sent), so I sent again. I have since sent 6 follow up emails over the course of the past three months with zero response. When I posted a negative Google review I received a note saying they would ship a new console immediately. I have not heard a thing and they e ignored all my follow ups again. It seems writing negative reviews is the only way to get their attention. I would expect much better customer service from a small business charging these prices. They say over and over when they get a bad review that they value their customers and are trying to get better- but's it the same story and complaints for years. Two days after getting it, I spilled room temperature tea on the coffee table, and the stain completely wiped off and made our living room smell like stain! I emailed and waited the 3 business days to wait for a response, and nothing. I've tried calling all day, and no one answers or responds to a voicemail. Horrific experience. Like many others, I had a horrible experience with Pure Salt. I placed a furniture order in December 2022 with an April 2023 delivery date. Once I placed the order, I never heard from them again. My delivery date was delayed twice with zero outreach or update made available from Pure Salt (only learned about the delays after several emails on my end). After silently blowing past my first two delivery dates, it took 24 days, 7 emails, several failed phone calls, and one Instagram DM to get in touch with their team only to be told my item was "estimated" to be delivered in August. I promptly requested a cancellation and full refund, in accordance with FTC regulations, otherwise I would be disputing the charge. Shocker, I never heard back and turned the situation over to my credit card company. 48 hours after disputing the charge, Pure Salt reached out offering a cancellation but then ghosted me AGAIN without cancelling the order or refunding me. My credit card company has since handled the situation. Avoid this shady, frustrating, time-wasting company at all costs! read more

Similar to some of the other recent reviews, I have also had major customer service issues with Pure Salt recently. I ordered a light fixture a year ago now and it was supposed to be delivered back in January. Apparently they are having some supply chain issues getting the appropriate electrical components which is causing the delay. I understand things like this come up which is out of their control. BUT they refuse to give any sort of refund/cancellation or even respond to you most of the time when an issue like this arise. I have also had quality issues with an ottoman I purchased 6 months ago and they absolutely will not help me despite reaching out to their customer service line multiple times and even speaking with their Newport Beach shop manager. They have beautiful pieces, but I would highly recommend shopping elsewhere. There are many other local furniture design shoppes in Orange County that I now work with (and send my own clients to now) that provide a much better experience. read more

BUYER BEWARE: their "All Sales Final" listed for each product gives them an excuse to deliver garbage and leave you high and dry. Horrible experience and product from them. If I could give a zero star I would. 'Pure Salt' is right; I was super salty after trying to deal with them. After a 5 month delay on delivery and lots of pushing for answers, we finally received a product. The coffee table we received had little resemblance to the one shown in their photos or the actual dimensions. What was different/wrong? Ask for photos, I'll be glad to send them to you. 1) the finish was painted with some kind of wash/fake patina, and it was glossy, not like their photos that show a natural, high character wood finish. 2) The stated length: 48". The actual 51.5", which makes a big difference. 3) The stated height: 17". The actual 15", which makes a bigger difference and makes for a really bad piece of furniture. I tried patiently for months to find a real resolution, and like others have said, they gave us a bogus solution - they give credit as a 'special one time decision despite the policy', as long as we paid the return shipping. After multiple calls and visits to freight companies, including UPS and the original shipper, the cost was $500-1000... to return a $700 table. They refused to get their shipper to give us a fair price to return a product they shipped to us for $150. Finally gave up a 1.5 yrs after the initial order and sold online for less than half what we paid. If I was an attorney, I'd sue them from fraud. Seriously. read more

After a month I questioned the freight company and they said they do not have the order. THERE IS NO WAY TO SPEAK TO A REAL HUMAN AT THE COMPANY!!!
