I have a professional shoot at 11 this morning, I set a hair appointment at 9 am, confirmed twice day before. I've been waiting for my hair stylist to come for 25 minute. Finally 9:30 they announced no one can do my hair. No available stylist. Owner didn't care to find a solution, they actually said I'm sorry we forgot to tell you yesterday!!! No words. A large sign at the doorway announced a 20% discount for new clients. Since it was my first time there, I asked for the discount. I was told that it was only for stylists who were new to the salon. That didn't apply to me because the owner did my hair. Strike one. This was not the first time I had a straightening treatment done on my hair, so I knew what to expect the days afterward. When my hair wasn't straight, soft, or shiny after I washed my hair the following day, I called with my concerns. I was told that only 50% of the frizziness would be eliminated, and the curls would still be there. Previous experience told me otherwise. I was not happy with that response. Strike two. When I go to a new salon, I like to feel special, that my stylist is interested in knowing about me. This didn't happen. I went here on a Living Social coupon, but do not broadcast it too loud. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating. As for everyone else...rude and stuck up. First there was some discussion / confusion on who would wash & dry my hair. It was uncomfortable listening to the two stylist try to argue their way out of doing it. So the "loser" scrubbed my scalp so hard, it felt like she was trying to remove the skin. No comb used, just literally ran a brush through it a couple of times. I was scheduled for a blow out, but I said forget it. She was clearly pissed that she had to do my hair and was taking it out on me. The facial was nice except no info was given about my skin, what was next, not even a hello. Very strange. You could also feel the tension between some of the staff. Looking for a "mother/ daughter" day idea, I came across Bardot through one of those deal sites. I checked their site and saw they offer many services: facials, massage, manicures, hairstyling, and more. I immediately called the salon to get more information. Mike answered my questions and invited metro visit them and talk to the staff directly. I knew the facial was the one things wanted to get for my mom and, after meeting with Kyle (ski care specialist) I was sold. They were offering a Massage, Facial, and Blow-dry package and I bought two. Fast forward to our appointment... I started with the massage. This is my first time having a full body one... Even Nick (massage therapist) was surprised to hear this but, what can I say, I've always been a little weirded out by a stranger touching me. As soon as we started that feeling went away. Nick made me feel very comfortable. More than that, I am now questioning why I never did this before. I had been having neck pains more a couple of months and now I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off them. Nick explained what I can do to avoid that pain coming back and, when the massage was done, not only could I feel the difference but actually see it. It's like he realigned my shoulders and they fall where they should, no more pain, and so relaxed. Even my legs, which I had no problems with, feel lighter and refreshed. Arms, neck, legs, scalp... In just one session I'm a believer. Nick works magic. Right after I had my facial. Kyle uses different products according to skin type but, one thing is same for everyone, how relaxing it is. The products are light and gentle on the skin. The way Kyle applies each of them is massaging your neck and face, stimulating your blood circulation and muscles. Your skin feels so clean and refreshed. It's like it can breath again and you have radiant new skin. Finally we move to hair. Michael did my mom's... He is so sweet, very engaging and makes you feel welcomed the minute he says "hi" to you. He left her hair so shiny and with body without any extra products. Alison did a great job with mine. I usually get home and style my hair more to get it how I ike it but, didn't have to after she was done. The way she styled it was perfect and it lasted. She also explained the different services she offers and did a beautiful haircut to the lady before me. My mom also had a manicure with Vivian, who happens to be from PR too. So, not only did she get a beautiful manicure, she had a nice/ fun chat while getting it. I can't say enough great things about the staff at Bardot. The day of our appointment there was another receptionist and she was amazing. There was a little mix up with our hours but, in no time, she got it all figured out. She made sure we had all our services done without any problems. Everyone there is very friendly and welcoming, and sincerely wanting all their customers to have the best experience possible, which comes as no surprise when you meet Michelle, the owner. She is hands-on, in the salon talking to customers, getting to know them and making sure everything runs smoothly. My mom loved her gift and I was very happy we had such an amazing, relaxing day together. The one reason they don't get all five stars is prices... Girl's Spa day went like this: Nick the masseuse was very, very good. Best I've had ever both of us agreed. Nato cut my hair and was not who I requested but we did add an extra massage to the day last minute, so I messed up the schedule. My fault. Michele the owner worked hard to accommodate us on our Friday morning visit. Nato was disinterested and thought he was all that. He barely spent 10 minutes on my hair. I like it curly, it is curly and he blew it straight and in a way that kept it falling in my eyes the rest of the day. A waste of time. I did explain how I like it... Doris did my friends mani-pedi and it looked great and really held up. Doris massaged hand cream on my hands while I waited, she was great! My pedicure gal was ok nothing special and she almost clipped off some toe. I liked her personally but would not use her regularly if I lived there, she blew thru my Reflexology Pedicure which would have been the best part except it wasn't. I heard that the staff all really like each other which is great. With the exception of Doris and Nick it was kind of off putting. Very busy chatting each other up and heavily involved with themselves is more like it. Michelle the owner is the best and she cannot do it alone. This review is actually for Genesis Skin Spa located inside this salon. Bought a Groupon for microdermabrasion for this skin spa. Was happy to have this done because it's been awhile since I've had it done but first problem is trying to even make the appointment since she never answers the phone and returns calls a day later. Once you get her on the phone, good luck trying to find an opening and not because it's that busy. It's worst than banking hours. The Groupon was for a total of four sessions and had the first one. Ok service, not that there is much to getting it done but no real complaints or compliments about the service. Nothing special about it. Then went to have my second session today. Unexpectedly I had some time off during the week so tried calling to see if I can move up my appointment earlier. Now remembering I said you always have to leave a message and she phones back a day later, that exact thing happened. I missed her call but at that point I was a day away from my actual appointment so didn't bother calling back. I arrived and sat for about twenty minutes before she came out to tell me she canceled my appointment and rescheduled someone else. Who cancels an appointment before speaking to the person!? Very unprofessional. I was referred here by an old friend that I am no longer friends with. The first time I went my barber was very friendly as I was friends with one of his other customers. After the falling out I went back to the Bardot anyway thinking they would be mature enough to not get involved in a altercation between college student. I was mistaken. The next time I came back the barber I had previously had cut my hair and had been very friendly the first time not only gave me a cold and nasty attitude but rushed through my haircut in 5 minutes without saying a word to me. Was walking through the shopping center and decided to get a haircut. The promotion they were advertising was a free hot shave. I prefer a haircut with scissors and not clippers. The stylist seemed more comfortable with the clippers. The hair cut was not bad - although the end result was not to my wife's liking. Now let's talk about the free hot shave. The should have called it a free hot butchering. It is clear that the stylist (although he called himself a barber) had little experience or no feedback from others when it came to the shave. My skin was not prepared for the hot shave except for some warm shaving cream. He nicked my lip and left razors rash on my neck. So the big question is; will I return? No. Nor would I recommend them to someone else. It ---- I received a follow-up call regarding my review today. Customer service is key for a successful business. I truly appreciate Kaylee calling me. I had the worst massage ever at Bardot by some guy who thought he was a doctor and was not. He was super creepy and kept trying to diagnose me. I said something to one of the ladies in the salon and they said that almost everyone complains about him. I don't understand why they would subject their clients for years to someone like that. Not only are these people beyond skilled they are also genuine people who are very kind and empathetic. I have not had any nail or hair services done here, so I can't comment on the quality of that. I do, however, come regularly for a skin appointment, and while I'm not ready to give a final review on that, I would like to comment on the salon's atmosphere. The salon is beautiful, but I find the vibe when I walk in to be extremely cold and unfriendly. An earlier reviewer used the word "snooty", and I couldn't agree more. So much so, I attempt to make my way as fast as I can to the back of the salon for my facial, as not to accidentally catch a slight sneer of disdain. I myself work in customer service, and pride myself in excellent service to my clients - so I am acutely aware of good customer service, and also of the opposite. I suppose the culprit of my feelings is the woman that sits at the desk when I walk in and out. She can barely bother with any sort of salutation, and if she does, there's rarely a smile....this definitely deters me from giving them any business outside of what I already subscribe to. They may be great at their craft, but I will not venture to find out if it means feeling uncomfortable throughout my appointment. read more

This place gets one star because the people were nice. Unfortunately my experience was awful. My hair stylist Bill was in such a rush blow drying my hair that he burnt my scalp and fried my hair. I only asked for a trim and a blowout. My hair looked like he used a rusty old knife to cut the ends. I posted the picture of what it looked like afterwards, you can judge for yourself. Beautiful salon and I would love to be a regular client. The prices are outrageous for my secretary salary. I work right across the street. I find the problem with new businesses that open in "Boca" believe that we are all wealthy.I love Natasha and when I have a special occasion she is my definite go to stylist. The staff is very sweet. Bardot do you have to be priced so high that the working class folks are unable to enjoy the talents of your staff. Why can't a great salon and staff be "reasonably expensive" it might put you above the rest and even put you on the map. Boca is flooded with high end pricey salons, when will someone other then a supercuts realize there is a whole market of women that want to indulge. All that being said best of luck!! read more

Their one and only therapist thinks he is a doctor and gives you advice on what he believes is wrong with you and what he believes you need to do about it. I received a Groupon from my boyfriend for Valentines Day for an 85 minute massage. The moment I walked in I had a funny feeling. They never had me fill out ANY paperwork. When I got in the room I had Nick. It was the most uncomfortable, painful, not relaxing experience I have ever had. Nick was extremely hard and pressing and pinching my skin and body. When he got to my lower back and side I told him that hurt. Then I had a crack and said thats not good. THIS GUY TOLD ME HE ISNT EVEN COMPLETE WITH HIS LICENSE! 2 Days after the massage I was still very sore, I thought it was normal. It has been 11 days and I have not gone to work and have been in immense pain. Orthepics say I have nerve damage. I cannot sit up right, nor drive. Day to day activities have become almost impossible. I called the salon owner several times and she is defensive. I WOULD NEVER GO HERE.
