Very consistent, always listens and will give me other ideas after asking if I'm open to hearing them (her ideas have been better than mine). She asks questions like "if you could change anything about your hair, what would it be?" and then uses that information to give you the perfect cut, style, and advice. I thought that was really thoughtful of her. I've been very pleased with my color and my haircuts over the past few months!! Also, you can't beat the Aveda products!

First I scheduled a trial and my stylist cancelled twice over the span of about a month. At this point it was only two weeks before my wedding and they couldn't fit me in with another "senior stylist" so I went with another random stylist and understood appointment would be free of charge for the inconvenience. However once the trial was done (it took almost 3 hours and still wasn't quite right) I still had to pay 95+ tip as apparently only the hair cut was free (25) and I still was expected to pay for the styling. Then we get to my wedding day and I am supposed to have a senior stylist but was cancelled on a THIRD time the day of my wedding and was only told once I arrived at the salon. The same girl who did my trial did my wedding hair and I didn't complain much because who wants to complain on their wedding day? My bridal party also got their hair done and it was all beautiful but mine took an extra hour compared to my bridal party even though I requested a very very simple style , just curls and a little bit pinned back, and it came out very poorly despite me trying to steer the stylist in the right direction. I had to redo my hair completely afterwards even though I paid over 100 for my hair. I curled it myself and had a wedding guest who happened to do hair help me style it. Took less then 20 minutes and was perfect when we did it ourselves. After the wedding I looked back at the photos they took at the salon and I can't believe they let me walk out like it was! Totally falling out, messy, asymmetrical and bobby-pins showing (Photos from the salon and by the time I got home) About 3 weeks after my wedding when all the celebrations were done we called this salon back to explain what happened and ask for a partial refund or at least something. My mother who called was accused of "extortion" by the owner when she said she was calling before I posted this review... which is an honest review and we wanted to give them a chance to right it before complaining online. Then we were told we should have planned my wedding further out which has nothing to do with them messing up my hair so much. In the end they said they would call us back and it's been 4 days now. Overall really disappointing, This was the most stressful part of my whole wedding. They should have done more to compensate me or at least done my hair well... this was my WEDDING hair for crying out loud.

They charge $10.00 extra if you want your hair washed and the price of the cut to begin with was outrageous. I switched to another salon with two locations one in Pittsford and the other in Webster. The price was cheaper, they wash hair and the hairdresser pays attention and I finally have the basic haircut I want. They do a great job and I highly recommend it

My hair is incredibly important to me, so I spare no expense.  When I moved here I started going here, and have gone here since.  Robin is great.  She cuts my hair how I want it, does highlights how I want them, and doesn't try to talk me into doing things that I don't want to do.  I am naturally blonde and not very adventurous, so what I want is pretty basic.  I've had it long and short over the years, and done highlights and low lights.  It's been exactly what I wanted every time.  I also had my hair done here for my Senior ball and my wedding.  All of my bridesmaids came here, and all of their hair looked gorgeous!  One of my bridesmaids had really short neck length hair, and I didn't think it would even go up.  They got it in an up do, and it looked great and stayed perfect all day!  Thuy did my hair for my prom and my wedding.  My up do lasted all night, after taking my veil off, and I actually wore it on the plane the next day on my honeymoon!  Looked perfect the whole time. :) I highly recommend it here!

I left the salon with flowy silky hair that moved in the wind, and thats a challege for us naturalistas. Ms. Avy uses the Mizani hair care line, which is a top of the shelf kind of product. I am very particular about my hair and am specific about certain tools and product used on my mane. She didnt mind my questions or my hesitations with her methods. I giot my hair treated, trimmed and flat ironed. She is resonably priced, so I will definately come back while here in Rochester.

I'm very particular about my nails. But...I think things have changed. Here is the deal you cannot just walk in, it's like a secret society in a sense. Someone needs to tell you about him they give you his card or information you can call or text him for an appointment. His time like your time is valuable so be prompt it's good for you and good for him. Also it is CASH ONLY... now when you go to this location to give you an idea where he is it's the strip mall area that has Thai Mii Up. Plenty of parking so no qualms. When you get into the salon, it's a big airy place, they have places to sit and etc. I was greeted by the staff and told them I was here to see Quang. He has his own space, he does manicures and pedicures. You can do gel manicures, a regular one, get acrylics and etc. He uses Gelish for the gel manicures along with another companies polishes. He's tidy and precise with his work. His space is tidy as well. It's obvious he enjoys what he does and has loyalty from his clients. (Cause I had to wait for an appointment no joke!) So, here's the deal.. I have my own natural nails, with that; with nails being done, abuse of them and medication give you weak nails. My issue also I have acrylic over one nail due to an accident awhile back and the nail either grows back on its own or when it splits it splits. Now he was honest with me no hard core push or anything but in his professional opinion it was time to do something for a bit to give my nails some strength (yes I take vitamins and etc) so I have a acrylic on my thumbnail I now have them on all my nails. Listen I've never done it before.. to be completely honest; from what I know from other people it is not a inexpensive undertaking. Well... it was very reasonable and anyone who gets gel manicure's you know how much that is between $25-40 on natural nails.. now I got the acrylics and a gel manicure, if I got a regular old school manicure w: acrylics it would have been less. So for this visit it was $20 more than I would pay for my just gel manicure, in this case I got everything done and when I come in next time it's priced accordingly. Now dear reader I can't give you a "price list" since it would depend on what you get but to give you an example price wise between $25-50+ depending on what you are doing. He is seriously precise and does something different when he takes off the gel manicure that I think is easier on your nails. Now he does your nails beautifully, gives you cuticle oil, rubs it in.. checks over it all. Tells you gently not to pick at your nails, use hand cream & etc. Than when your done you can make another appointment while you are there than you go on with your day. While he was finishing his next client was waiting. So, in closing I made another appointment, I now have new nails!! So to be honest go to him if you have acrylic or natural nails. He has a relaxed demeanor and he's an absolute master in his field. He's worth it! Bravo. Go!
