Really great place for getting your brows done! I only get my brows threaded because I feel like it's more precise and they're better at finding my true brow shape (mine grow kind of crazily), and Sujana does such a great job. Sujana is very gentle and precise, and when she did my brows, it was the most painless time I've ever had with threading. She did take maybe a few minutes more than other places, but I was so pleased with the results. The salon is a great place and the staff are very friendly. You can call ahead for an appointment but the two times I've gone so far, I've called before to check if they're available and had no problems with walking in. There's a good amount of street parking available and a small parking lot a block down, and finding the place isn't difficult as it's right on the street. After years of getting my eyebrows waxed, my skin informed me it is time to change by lifting off a bit at every wax appt after sun exposure. I have been going to the same girl for about 10 years prior to Sujana and I am annoyingly particular about how my brows are done. I was nervous about trying a new place. Sujana checked in several times during the appt to make sure my eyebrows were to my liking. I have been here three times and have been impressed/thrilled with my eyebrows. Sujana and her staff sanitize their hands before they start threading your eyebrows. If desired, they can apply aloe over the threaded areas at the end (I always say yes as it feels cooling). Parking is on street (there is usually a tonne of spots right outside the tiny storefront). They accept credit cards but prefer cash. It is around $12 -13 to get your eyebrows threaded. My nitpick (that has zero impact on their services) is that their space seems a bit cluttered. If they organized their jewelry and other products, they would have a much better looking space. They are definitely my new go-to spot! p.s If you have issues with waxing, definitely try threading. It is much gentler on your skin. read more

Glad I found this place! Sujana is very thorough and I have already started recommending her to my friends. I found this place thanks to groupon but didn't even end up buying the groupon because she has a 50% off new store promotion going on right now. I got my eyebrows threaded for $5 and a Brazilian for $30! Serious steal!! I tipped her well ;) But really, last time I got a Brazilian it was $70+ and Sujana did a more thorough job. She communicates well and will ask you if you are satisfied with the results, she is very friendly and accommodating. She offered me a bottle of water right when I walked in and I was the only customer in the salon at the time. I didn't have an appointment, she takes walk-ins, but it will be useful to call if you are getting a service done that requires prior set up (i.e. wax heated up) Thank you Sujana! SUJANA IS A TRUE BLESSING!!!!!! I am THE pickiest person about my brows. Sujana fit me in without an appointment. It was a little hard to find her salon since I wasn't familiar with the area but it was worth it. Her salon is nice and tidy. She sanitizes her hands before she gets started with you. I have very short, Asian brows that grow in very quickly and is prone to ingrowns. My hairs grow in the wrong direction that a brow "normally" should and the hairs can sometimes look sparse if even an extra hair is plucked. Since I'm prone to ingrowns, threading is really my only way to get a very precise and clean shape. Many threading people have thinned out my short brows too much, resulting in a pointy, angry looking arch. There are some patches that haven't even grown back years later even though I have THICK brows. So you can see why I'm so protective of them. Sujana took the time to look over my brows with me in a mirror. I explained exactly what I wanted her to do and she listened with patience as I repeated myself since I've been wronged by so many others in the past. I told her that I knew I had an arch but I love a straighter shape and I lengthen them with brow powder. Her experience is obvious because she knows threading less can sometimes work out better. Sujana takes care when she threads to use a technique that makes it virtually painless. I am a BABY when it comes to stinging, uncomfortable pain but I bear through it for nice brows. I felt like she couldn't be possibly ripping my hairs out because I felt nothing. She gently reminded me if I didn't hold the skin taut enough. She went quickly with what obviously needed to be plucked and then kept checking in with me to make sure I liked the shape. I LOVE THIS ABOUT HER!!! It took about 15 minutes and I tipped her 50% because she deserved it. I wish I still lived out here because I would visit her RELIGIOUSLY. My brows look better than ever and plenty of people have noticed. No ingrown pimples that I tend to get after threading because someone goes too quick and the follicle gets damaged. She has a Brazillian special going on right now that I am definitely going to take part of. Schedule an appointment because she has many regulars. Come with photos of what you're trying to achieve. Best eyebrow threading in Rochester! I came in on a Saturday morning, not knowing what to expect. I'm a college student from Boston so I was scared of going somewhere new for the first time. Last time I went somewhere in Rochester, I was upset with the result. However, Sujana Beauty & Brow surprised me. Sujana greeted me as I walked in, and the space is very clean and organized. The best part of all was that it did not hurt one bit! Usually whenever I get my eyebrows done there is some pain felt, which is expected. But with Sujana there was absolutely not pain at all! And at the end I asked for aloe and was surprised to find out that after she applied the aloe, she gives you an eyebrow massage too! 100% would recommend and will come back! Sujana does an amazing job and even offers a punch card that you can earn a free threading. I've gone a couple of times and have been very happy and I'm extremely picky about my brows. Having said that I stopped yesterday and she had someone new and she did my brows. She didn't do an awful job but she wasn't nearly as good as sujana. This place should get shut down. It was very unsanitary. I got a Brazilian wax and she made me lay there on the chair without putting a separate sheet down or anything. The wax was not done right. Brazilian wax includes the butt, but she did not wax my butt and tried to charge me 27$ more. I would never return with my business. read more

Just moved to Rochester from California for school and let me tell you, I was nervous about finding an eyebrow place considering my eyebrow lady back home did mine for 4 years consistently. Aside from the pre-nerves upon meeting Sujana for the first time, I was impressed by her proactive approach she has implemented for her shop in regards to infectious control measures to mitigate the potential spread of COVID-19. Working for my local Public Health Department back home in California, I can ensure prospective clients that she adheres to the County and CDC guidelines to stay open as an essential business during this pandemic. For instance, sanitization bottles were displayed and strongly encouraged to use prior to signing in and upon exiting the shop, her work chairs and stations are sprayed with disinfectant after each client she tends to. Sujana wore her mask and so did I along with the other customers in the shop waiting, too. She thoroughly washed her hands prior to starting my eyebrows and thoroughly washed them after and was visible all throughout her hand hygiene technique to ensure health and safety was being followed. Aside from her phenomenal adherence to essential business infection control measures, she had a great hand with amazing technique that did not pinch, bleed, nor hurt my skin--and I have very sensitive skin! She is very easy to talk to, polite, asks you how you want your brows (I asked for a cleaning and shape), and goes above and beyond for you. I strongly recommend Sujana's Beauty & Brows to anyone who's looking for an eyebrow threading service.
