The creativity, music, art, theme camps, and sense of community make it one of the most unique and unforgettable weekends of the year. It's unlike anything else and has become a tradition we look forward to every year. We also love all the sports Lake Como has to offer (well...except golf! ). The volleyball community is incredible, and Super Bowl South is always one of the highlights of our year. The atmosphere during the big tournament weekends is energetic, welcoming, and full of people who quickly become friends. Lake Como is known for its outstanding volleyball facilities and tournaments, and it's easy to see why. Beyond the events, what keeps us coming back is the people. Whether you're relaxing by the pool, kayaking on the lake, playing pickleball or volleyball, enjoying live entertainment, or just taking in the beautiful grounds, there's always something to do and someone new to meet. I wish I could give less than one star. I used to go there on occasions to hang out by the pool on…read moresunny afternoons. I always knew that the owner ( Larry ) was kind of crazy and to steer clear of him if at all possible.I'd just pay my $20 and hang out quietly. But last time I was there the owner insisted on acting mad crazy. First thing he did was to lecture me that there'd be no "playing" and that any men found "playing" would be kicked off of the property. I mean that's the whole reason for going to this place and hanging out is to "play" by the pool. if you can't do that then what's the point of going there and spending 20 bucks ? He also demanded that I lock up the pool gate when I left so there wouldn't be ( in his words ) "dead children" floating in the pool. Larry's tone was rude and obnoxious and I tell you I won't be going back to that place again.

The entire place needs a new paint job. Their cable and internet are great. It reminds me of a college dorm room. But every time I go out I worry about being "gay bashed". It has beautiful facilities of all kinds from tennis, basketball, pickle ball, library, research library, two pools, and several restaurants including one pool side. Everything is modern and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and well appointed. The lake area is peaceful and they have boards and paddle boards for use without charge. However, the best part of the experience is the people and staff. This is one of the friendliest places I have ever been. I'm not the most socially adept person but ended up having great conversations in and around the pool all week. We were planning on taking side trips out, but just ended up staying there the entire time. It was so relaxing!!

Another amazing evening of fun entertainment and the best sunset on the Gulf of Mexico! The food…read moretruck offerings filled the air as we exited our vehicle. We decided to share one of our favorite haunts in Cedar Key Florida.with our friend Laura before she heads back to blustery Iowa. She loved it and found the entertainment to be very enjoyable. It is quite a trek from Ocala roundtrip but we just can't help ourselves. We shall return!

There was a nice sea breeze and a pier you could walk out on with a few tables there too. There is a food truck that is always on site that serves some tasty beef tacos with a delicious homemade pico as well as several other food options. Drink service at the bar was very slow as several people (I assume locals) came in after me but were served before me. It's great that everyone knows everyone, but we out of towners would like to support you too. We only ended up getting one drink each because of this.
