A few years ago, we had a little hiccup during Covid times as it was hard to find cleaning crew and our check in was delayed several hours. This was upsetting for us but Barefoot was responsive and did refund a small portion due to this delay. I found this very professional and upmost of them to do so, especially during unusual times. Fast forward a few years later, we have rented from them again and they were professional and detailed in the process of renting the beach home. Sometimes a bit direct when you speak to them, but fair. They have an online portal to search rentals, make payments and learn more about their company. They are also very responsive via email if you have questions, concerns or need to speak to the their establishment. Considering they are a fair and reputable company in town, I do give them 5 stars for this service. read more

We were so fortunate to come across Barefoot, Kim helped us in 2 different home searches and I recommend her to anyone thinking of buying or selling a home. Real estate is such a personal and emotional experience, and having been through it a few times I have found the other agents I have been referred to are not willing to take the time and effort to develop a relationship and truly make a connection. That extra human touch is part of the DNA of a local, family-owned business.. we didn't have see 20+ houses, we had to see 4 of the "right" houses because they actually knew us. If you appreciate that as well, you can't go wrong with the people at Barefoot. Nothing against the larger firms in the area but there's no way they have more market knowledge and experience, especially in Point Pleasant. Other agents I worked with, at some point are over it and want to get you to close. I rented from Barefoot Real Estate this summer. I would give zero stars if it was an option. I rented 119 parkway in Point Pleasant this summer. I was supposed to rent from the week of July 18 to the 25th. The rental for the week was $2800 plus a $500 security deposit.On July 20th my brother was killed and after speaking with the company they refused any partial refund (besides the security deposit which we would have gotten back regardless). We had the house cleaned out entirely with the key returned on the 21st. I am disgusted with this agency and will never rent from this company again. I will also be informing others about the complete lack of empathy your company has towards their customers. I will be reviewing this agency on vacation review sites as well. read more

Thought they were good until it came to money matters. They re rented a property that I was contracted to rent but then refused to return the deposit money. Nice people up front but don't give trust them to be upfront with any money. Learn from my mistake or roll your own dice. For us never again. read more
