Employees were nice but I wasn't super impressed with prices. I left without buying anything but it seemed like the customers there loved it. I did enjoy the antique shop next door so that was a plus. read more

Just killing some time before I meet a family member for dinner. Usually stop in here once a month or so.They have A lot of clothes from Target, some from kohl's and JC penny. Very hard to look through , they aren't by size and they all are Crammed together. Saw some women's Keds Sneakers , they were selling for $45.00, they had compare to $115.00 sticker in them. That made me laugh ,That is a LIE, I've Never ever seen keds for even close to that amount. Can get them at kohl's from anywhere between $30 something and $50 something, plus use a coupon when it's coupon time. They have a lot of housewares and purses too from target. I will say the prices on the Serta mattresses weren't that bad. I have to say something about the music, it's Very loud and Weird songs I've never even heard and I'm not real young but not that old either , 43 , lol . Shopped there 1st time this past weekend. Some decent price things but no great bargains. Most looked like old new inventory that could not be sold at other stores. Bought my dog some rawhide chew sticks ($4). They smelled like decomposing animal when he started chewing. Smell was so horrible I had to take from him and throw away in outside garbage. He got sick about an hour later and threw it up. read more

I just moved from out of state and we dont have Bargain Hunt's where I'm from. I love this place! I usually walk away with a couple bags of food or holiday decor or clothes. Although, it is amusing that sometimes the clearance sticker prices from the original stores are still attached and this store sells them for double that clearance price. For example, Bargain Hunt was selling a pumpkin for $14, but the $7 clearance sticker was still attached. Watch those prices. read more

Things have changed- I think there is new management and I haven't seen the rude manager who yelled and made an employee cry (awkward for everyone around) in a very long time. Things have gotten neater and they apparently don't carry the laptops and items that used to have anymore (I've been advised by an employee to not buy computers or tablets here as they often have corrupted parts of them and are returned because of that. I would not recommend buying any electronics that have already been opened, no matter how good the price may seem.) Aside from that- the new food selection is what changes my opinion. Lots of unique items I don't see in grocery stores at a low price! As always, the toy section is fun and a good place for me to pick out something for my niece and nephew. The valentines candy is a good pick, as it is always lower than grocery price. There is also an uptick in great art supplies and well priced pet supplies. The change in management was really what made this place cleaner, and frankly, less awkward as a customer. Hearing yelling all the time while trying to shop around with employees who looked rightfully gloomy was a downright bummer and I'm glad it's changed. read more

I recently visited your store in Cumming. I was appalled at the store . It was a total disaster. Everything was just one huge mess. Unfortunately, I had to use the rest room to wash my hands. I will never set foot in your store again after seeing what a mess your rest room is. Toilet overflowing with excrement, handle broken, filthy. How can anyone work there with these unsanitary conditions, much less shop. Never again. read more

THEY TRADED THE LOCAL GOODWILL FOR THIS? My Yelp friend, (I will now be using that term loosely), hits me up and lets me know that there is a new store in Cumming. I say okay, I will be in the area soon and I will check it out. Now my friend actually lives in Cumming so he apparently thought that it would be more fun to waste MY time instead of his own. Mmmmhmm! This store is located in Merchant's Square, where the Goodwill Donation Center was located. This was one of my favorite donation sites and I was shocked to discover that it no longer exists. You cannot miss this store because it is in a huge space and framed in kelly green. As I enter the space, I get that surplus store vibe. Clearly, this is just not my kind of store. Here's the point, I don't care what you sell, your store should be clean and organized. If you are not selling used items, this should be evident. The store carried clothing, bedding, housewares, cookware, furniture and electronics. These are simply not the type of items I would typically purchase in a surplus store because I am not willing to compromise on quality and I really prefer recognized brands for certain items. Items are marked down on a regular basis so the longer they are in the store, the greater the discount. When walking into this store, I was not greeted and found it difficult to distinguish customers from employees. Several items were just tossed on the shelves in a messy heap. No thank you! As I visited another local store, the talk of the day was the new store and how "bad" it is. Apparently some of the locals just are not impressed or even interested. As far as I'm concerned, this particular store was just not needed in this area because there is a Big Lots just down the road. If you want "lower" quality clothing, they have also recently added a Beall's Outlet, just across the street. I would love to see North Cumming elevate its retail offerings, beyond Belk and TJ Maxx. I am sure that the local community would also embrace this idea. read more

I love this place! Everything is super inexpensive and they have some name brand stuff! I love the beauty and home goods sections, especially! The only thing they could do better is keep the aisles a bit more organized, but over all it's a great place! I got deodorant for $2, which is normally $4. Great! Just what i was lookin for. Got some Reebok sport mesh shorts, $8.50. Savane and Geoffrey Beene shorts (with the stretch waistband) $12. Fiestaware place settings, $20 (scarlet red). On and on. I honestly didn't think I would find anything in there based on what some mad yelpers say (tongue). I may go back for another pair of Reeboks tomorrow. And the woman at the check out (Mary) was so warm and friendly with the nicest smile. Here's what I just realized, every item has a shelf date. Every 10 days that item is discounted an additional 10%. So if you buy something that's 30 days old, you get a 30% discount. I like that. They've got a sense of urgency to blow their inventory out asap. Cool! read more

This is for the Gainesville store which isn't listed. It was good when they first opened because you could actually finds some good deals on brand name items. Now the nicer items have no dates for discounts at all and the rest of the items are damaged or returns from Walmart. Saving a few dollars is not worth having to deal with missing pieces, broken items, the driving back and forth for returns, and the disorganization. read more

Decent discount store. If you subscribe to their emails, you get 20% coupons often. It's not the fanciest store but go in with an open mind and I think you'll be surprised. Clothing is usually a bust for me but they have household supplies, electronic, shoes and snacks. I've bought my bedding there and it's held up great! read more

MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GETTING! I thought this store had a very interesting premise in that as an item incurred a longer shelf life, the discount grew larger. I was very disappointed to recently discover that the dates on older items I'd looked at before were covered up with a new sticker to show a more recent date in order for this store to not have to give a larger discount on certain items. It's pretty awful when you can't trust a store to follow their own policy and not try to trick their customers. read more

This is not a horrible store and I have gotten some pretty nice deals here. Not all items are a deal however so one has to understand the system to find the best deals. For instance, if you are looking at bedding, and there are multiple packs the same style, look for the item with the oldest date. This will yield you the largest saving. There are some interesting items here, but you have to dig for them. Some items are damaged, but these stay around longer and will get deeper discounts with time, so they may be worth your investment. I wish the store was cleaner, had more employees, and was more organized. read more
