The assistant manager Amanda is the best. I had been looking at an item fir a day or two .when I finally went to purchase it they had sold the last one. I asked Amanda if any othe store had the item . She looked it up and found a store. She said she'd have them ship it to her store. 3 weeks later no item. She offered to go pick up the item . Which I am sure is not in her job description. She did and apologized for it taking so long. I was just glad to finally get it. This is the best customer service I've seen in a long time. OUTDOOR SERVICE STAR: MY SEASONAL "GO TO"! Although I have been a member of the original wholesale club for over 30 years, BJ's has quickly become a favorite spot. When it comes to lawn and garden, they always have exactly what I need beyond the basics. A couple of years ago, I purchased a nice little planter fountain with matching planters, (on sale/clearance) that still looks great on my patio. When they have a sale, they have a sale so it is always worth the drive. My first outdoor purchase this year was a foldable picnic table to replace one that I had previously. These are great for creating additional seating away from the patio. They are great for the contractors to sit for lunch or to place their personal items, they make a perfect table for intimate conversation, or if you just want an outdoor game table for that giant Jenga set, (also purchased at BJ's on sale). This year I was able to purchase a decorative "yoga frog" for my patio, ($40 off) and two patio heaters at $30 off because I know that as fall approaches, they will quickly disappear. Can't wait to "light them up"!! They are currently in the midst of their summer clearance. However, the patio sets and umbrellas are all gone. Now you will find DEEP discounts on their patio décor items such as planters, fountains and "other". I also noticed that they recently restocked their heaters so you still have time to get over there and purchase one or two. Most importantly to note, I always feel as if I am getting something unique or different. While there, you might want to grab something for the grill. This was one of the few stores that still had chicken wings in stock. My other club has been out for several months. Take time to check them out and happy shopping! read more

Just signed up for a membership about a month ago and already trying to figure out if I should cancel it. The produce is very expensive and terrible quality, it goes moldy or wilted in about 3 days or you get it home and it's time to be thrown away. I drive to Sam's for produce and other products that are cheaper. Also, don't bother asking for help, no one knows where anything is and no one has the basic common sense to ask another employee. If you can't find it, just go somewhere else. On the plus side, the gasoline is super cheap compared to other gas stations. They also have coupons, but prices are still high. read more

Well I'm not at all impressed. Glad I didn't cancel my Sam's membership. Had a 2:30 appt for a new set of tires. Tires, already bought and paid for last week. Well its 4:30 and one tire is on and it's the only vehicle in the bay. Oh...the technician had to take a dinner break leaving my vehicle on the rack all alone. No other worker around. He couldn't get one of the lug nuts off so he called my husband on his cell phone inside the store asking for help? My husband had to go out in the bay and get the lug nut off for him, ROFLOL, ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME???? I am so done with BJ's. No wonder the store is a ghost town. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Place an online order on 6/5 and they FINALLY shipped it out on 6/17. But NOT to my home. They shipped it by FREIGHT TRUCKING to my residential address, and by the time it got anywhere near my home, the food ordered was old and not needed. I had already ordered and bought from another BETTER wholesale club to fulfill my order without taking a month to get to me. Now, they say they are refunding me for their fault, but trying to charge me shipping for an order they could NOT deliver. I was a member for less than 3 months, and IMMEDIATELY cancelled after this fiasco. This is absolutely the WORST experience I have had with any online order with any wholesale club. I have no clue how they stay in business with so many horrible reviews online. I wish I had checked out their feedback online before joining their membership. BAD LESSON LEARNED. Actually came here for my first time while doing an Instacart shop. It was a Saturday afternoon and I honestly dreaded going up to one of the big box stores with the insane people and crowds they always have. When I got there, though, it was like I had the entire store to myself! There were certainly other people in the store, but it hardly felt like it. While they don't have quite the insane collection Costco and Sam's do, they do have more than the average grocery store. Unlike Costco and Sam's, I was actually able to see the items they do have and shop without swarms of people moving me along and preventing me from actually looking at the products. It was AMAZING. I left and immediately joined simply because of the experience. I've had both Costco and Sam's club memberships and end up never using them because I don't want to go to the madhouse that they always are. Now, I have a membership at a club I'll actually be okay using without feeling extreme anxiety and claustrophobia. I also was able to find a membership deal for $25 through a FB ad (thanks for listening in to my conversations and tracking my location, Facebook) Worth every penny! read more

Ratchet customer service take over two weeks for me to get a tire. never have adequate amount of workers, working in the tire area if you call they going to reroute your call for a good 15-30 minutes or pick up the phone and just lay it down and do not say anything. speaking to management doesn't help as well .save your money your energy and your time and go to Costco. read more

I LOVE BJ's! (insert phallic joke here-that's what she said) It only costs $35 to join for the year (less than Costco). They have the best gas prices in town. Propane refills are cheap. They carry plenty of name brand food, electronics and other household items. They accept manufacturers coupons and their own coupons so you can get double the discount on an item. The bakery is nothing to write home about so I just avoid it all together. But for just about anything else, BJ's hits the mark for me. read more

So in addition to my Costco and Sam's memberships, I've now got a BJ's membership. I've visisted twice now and am liking this place. Both times, I've been able to park right up close to the entry. I told my wife that you can't ever do this at the other two. It's easy in and easy out here. My biggest complaint here, and it really is a pain in the ass, is the way they give out all of these different coupon books. I spent extra time thumbing through each book this past time because I didn't want to miss any coupons like I did on my first visit. Even if they can't do the clipless coupons like Costco, I wish they would at least do like Publix does and post at the product that there is a coupon avaliable. I got a pretty good deal on my membership, 15 months for $40. Hopefully BJ's will satisfy me to where I keep renewing the membership each year, like I do with Costco. I think that I'll let my Sam's membership expire. read more

Went to the tire department today at around 4pm to order a set of new tires. We waited for about 10min as we realized that the store representative was outside assisting a customer with propane. I know he saw us waiting but he insisting on taking a cigarette break. After he was done, he came inside and asked how he can help. We proceeded to tell him that we would like to order tires for our Ford Expedition and he had the nerve to tell us we need to order our tires via the website!!! My husband was hoping for better customer service and he wanted to order the tires at the counter. So much for that as I think we will take our $700 elsewhere. read more

Used to love shopping at BJ'S but now it kinda sucks. Customer service has gone so far down hill it isn't funny. They have gotten some new employees that have the customer service skills of Hitler. I got coupons for renewing our membership for savings off different departments. The cashier at self-checkout took them off our order. I went to Customer service and this bitch said she had to get a manager because the items didn't MATCH THE PICTURE. I ordered food for Easter dinner from BJs in Cumming Ga 2 weeks before Easter since we have been in quarantine due to the Covid 19 virus spending over $100 and when I went to cook it the $23.00 Spiral ham it was bad I contacted Bjs who said because I used insta cart they could not refund me the money back even though I had the package tag and proof on my phone that I ordered it from them and pictures of the bad ham because it was purchased by someone from Instacart. I contacted Instacart and they said because the 7 day time frame passed they could not refund me either! So in a time of a pandemic where people are loosing jobs and trying to feed their family these 2 huge companies would not stand behind the products they sell and service they provide and help their customers with a refund for obviously bad food, I will not use the Instacart service ever again and I will no longer shop at BJs or renew my Membership! I got this free 60 day trial for BJ's, so even though I'm a Costco member, I decided to check it out, mainly because of a deal on a Samsung TV. BJ's is a competitor of Costco and Sam's Club, where they offer goods in bulk for less, but require a membership. They also had a gas station. We were welcomed at customer service, and given a spiel for signing up to be a member, which I'd expected. I got to walk the store first, and they had a lot of similar items that Costco had, but a smaller scale store with less healthy foods. I started at their concession area, because we were starving. I bought a pretzel to split, and it was the worst pretzel ever. It tasted like it had been reheated every day for a week, and tasted old but we were hungry. They have a very similar setup, electronics, produce, aisles with frozen and refrigerator products, snacks, etc. The one gold mine was Reese's peanut butter eggs. That alone almost made me want a membership. We love those eggs! The prices weren't better than Costco, expect for the TV on sale. The store was fairly clean, and they do have a separate liquor store, too, but I didn't check it out. I would say they had some items Costco doesn't offer, and that was a nice perk, but I don't see myself going to both stores, and spending enough to make the change or add them on. read more

The customer service is in much needed improvement. Went to return an item with receipt, no "hello" or "how can I help u" from an elderly lady working at the customer service desk. I asked to return and was asked for my card. Card scanned, receipt scanned, item scanned, associate looked at price on receipt and entered in the wrong price. I said " the item was 14.99 not 12.99. She proceeded to say so I just owe you a dollar then ...I shut my mouth for fear of insulting the elderly lady directly so I let her finish. She put 14.54 on the counter not in my hand and I told her the item was 14.99 the amount you r giving me is not correct. In silence the elderly lady responded to me by entering on the keyboard really hard and slamming the correct amount to refund me on the counter. I told her " it's not my fault u entered in the wrong amount I told u it was 14.99. She says " I entered what the register told me." I said " the reciept purchase price is what u should refund me not what the current selling price is ..if I didn't have a reciept I would understand but I have my reciept. And she finishes with " you have your money" I should have stopped and called the Mgr when she slovenly put the money on the counter and all was done incorrectly. So yelp is my next avenue. I just hope the Mgr respects with what is written on here as I do with my company, cuz guess what a new Cosco opened up right around the corner. So fix the attitude problem at BJ'S read more

It feels dark and uninviting when you shop( I know that kind of lame, but first impressions matter a lot to me) I never buy much because they don't have much of the items I'm interested in. I would highly recommend getting the credit card mastercard because of the benefits that also come with it. (get an additional $0.10 off at the gas pumps). in addition, you get rewards rather quickly and they add up when you are there. Like most wholesale clubs...even though you go there for a few items, you will always walk out with double that, because you will find things you don't need, but get it anyway because it looked awesome at the time, or tasted great from the samplers. read more

Took advantage of their 60 day free membership and ended up buying a 14 month membership for $40. I am a Sam's Club member whose membership expires at end of summer, and I won't be renewing. BJ's while smaller has a little lower prices on staple like paper towels, toilet paper and a few other items. They have a deli with both regular and organic meats (Applegate) and I don't have to purchase lunch meat in large packages, that's a plus for me. I also liked their selection of organic food products at competitive prices. The greeting cards are all 50% discounted. They have a much nicer selection of dog food products than Sam's. The employees were OK, not overly nice although I am not shopping there to make new friends. read more

I live in a town where the only wholesale club is Sam's Club. Comparing Sam's Club to BJ's is like comparing Walmart to Publix. They are on two different ends of the spectrum. Sam's Club does have the cheapest membership, but you get what you pay for. BJ's products are of better quality when compared to Sam's Club. We have family who live in the area, so they let us borrow their membership card to experience BJ's. BJ's not only offer great prices and deals on their products, but they also keep their facilities well maintained and clean. That is very important to this neat freak. One place that BJ's excels in is that they accept ALL coupons- manufacturer and their own coupons. Like all wholesale clubs, a big perk to having a membership is the discounted gasoline. It's obvious that it is now popular to get gas at wholesale clubs, because the pumps are always crowded every time I go to one. Overall, this is a great alternative to Sam's Club. Been a BJs member since 2012, Costco since 2001. Own a business membership. My wife went in there to pick up a few things for resale. Cashier was giving her a hard time for honoring the state resale tax exemption. After a few minute of verbal exchanges, she gave her a form to fill out saying that it needs my business license to do that. Hello, we are a business member. You charge our account yearly on time and business license or Corp registration is a public record. You just have to look it up. It was neither convenient nor professional. Costco has not even ask why am I buying this thing for resale because they know business. If I were the store manager, I would most definitely work on customer skill for those know-it-all cashiers. They are nothing but troubles. I just have to drive another mile further to Costco and save me a membership and embarassment. p.s. I went in to the tire dept. for a tire rotation and balance ( I bought my tires there). The hours said 9 to 9. it was 9am , there was one guy walking slowly opening. he told me it would take him at least 30 mins to start the computer. Ask me to come back later.
