Amazing job on Winnie yesterday - she needed it bad! Thank you

    "You are overreacting."

I would stay far away from this groomer. My dog came back traumatized. He couldn't walk. Nodules were shaved causing bleeding.

My dogs and I love Bark & Meow! Tammy always does a wonderful job grooming my babies. The best thing is that my dogs are so happy to be there! Tammy treats them like one of her own. I know that when they are at Bark & Meow they are happy and being cared for.

terrible how close she cut my dogs ears and this was approximately 2 weeks after they got cut

Excellent local groomer! My dog hates being groomed, and she was actually happy after her haircut. Highly recommended.

Any store that we can bring our sweet, erratic dog to is a winner in my book. She enjoys this store, despite slipping on the floor. In addition to the normal food and toys, we also take our girl here to be groomed. All the people who work in the grooming department are so sweet. They always take good care of our pets, and we pick them up happy and smelling good! For the most part, you'll be able to find whatever you need here. I believe they do training here also, despite being a smaller store. They don't have prescription food at this location, which is a bummer. We have to get out to West Ashley to snag that. Employees are pretty friendly, though some of them are noticeably more knowledgeable than others. Nice tip from an employee recently- they will price match anything from Petsmart.com. Especially when making a big purchase, double check the price! We saved about $25 off our dog's crate by checking.

I am very disappointed with my recent grooming experience at PetSmart. When I picked up my dog,…read moreKahlo, no one told me she had been nicked on her ear during her groom. I only discovered the injury after we got home. I understand that accidents can happen, but what I can't accept is the lack of communication and transparency. Over the next several days, Kahlo repeatedly shook her head because of the discomfort, causing the wound to reopen and bleed multiple times. I ultimately had to take her to the veterinarian, where she was diagnosed with acute moist dermatitis. This resulted in an unexpected vet bill that I was not in a position to afford. Had someone simply been honest about what happened and explained how to care for the injury, this experience would have been very different. Pet owners deserve clear communication when something goes wrong, and I hope PetSmart does a better job of being transparent in the future.

Everyone tells us that she is very well trained and follows our commands. The training must be reinforced at home and we still work with her often to reinforce and strength the terrific foundation that Off Leash K9 provided. But we are very happy with the results and definitely will invest in this training with our next K9 family member.

Recently, I was watching a training session with Russ, the licensed owner of this facility train a…read moredog with a bite history. It was a small mixed breed dog. The dog bit (without breaking skin) the trainer and the trainer immediately picked the dog up by the leash and held it in the air for what seemed like a long time, but may have been close to ten seconds conservatively.  After the dog was put back on the ground and told to sit, it ran from the trainer to the owners. The trainer ran over to the dog grabbed it by the leash and it bit him again. He picked the dog up a second time and was suspended in the air for several seconds. The dog ran away a second time. After retrieving the dog, it was picked up by the leash a third time by the trainer and set on a large box. I believe it bit him again somewhere in the mix because he exclaimed that that was "the third fucking time it bit [him]." At this point I protested, by saying the trainers name -at the time I was so shocked I didn't have words yet. The trainer yelled and pointed at me from across the room to "Never fucking tell [him] what to do". I clarified that, in fact, I had not told him what to do and was hoping he would not continue to escalate the situation further. He went on "not to ever question" his methods. But I very much question this method. The situation was conceived out of trainer error and unchecked emotion, from the extending the dog in the air multiple times to chasing it and grabbing it from behind the owners to even screaming and cursing at me from across the room infront of clients (who, as far as I could tell, were too shocked to speak). As a current client of OLK9, I found this incredibly disturbing. I sent an email to the owners describing my concern for the animals in the trainers care to which I have not received a response in almost a month. Is this what OLK9 stands For? I'm concerned to bring my dog black to this location, but am due for another 2 lessons. The trainer I was working with quit following the incident and there are currently no other trainers at this location. We spent a lot of money on the Rock Star program. Further, I'm concerned for the safety of the animals in this trainers care, if he is willing to display such irrational and ruthless disregard for dogs infront of their owners, how does he treat them when they are not around to prevent the abuse?
