Scenthound - A smile after leaving Plush Pads. I did not see the same reaction from them at all when I pick them up from ScentHound.

Not a fan of this business model for my dogs. We tried it for two months. I have two white furry…read moredogs (bichon and maltipoo) one is 14.5yrs and the other 13.5yrs. My dogs are used to going to the groomers to get washed every Wednesday. We've been doing this for 14 years. When I first dropped them off, my little bichon was shaking like a leaf and very scared. My multi poo seemed a little apprehensive as well, but still went in. By the third time my maltipoo didn't wanna go in and my bichon on the drive over, when we turned left on the light, started shaking like a leaf. When they were brought out to me, my bichon was panting heavily every time and would hold on to me like she was so scared. My maltipoo who has a higher tolerance for change was also like get me out of here. I think this model is better for bigger dogs who just going to wash, but dogs who need to be brushed out and fluffed out and blow dried, this is not the right option because they rush things so much. I went over to Plush Pads and the dogs have had a completely opposite reaction. They haven't panted or shaken and have been super happy when I pick them up. Lastly, they didn't seem operationally sound in their processes. We go weekly and it seemed like I was told I was on the schedule and then I showed up and they didn't have me on it. How hard is weekly folks? They also nickel and dime you for everything and when I asked for sani-trim they didn't shave or cut them like a seasoned groomer. I paid for their paw furry to be trimmed and they cut the hairs with sissies (I could do that), but like my old groomer, who shaved in between their paws. So I felt like I was charged for a half-ass job. It just seemed like a laundry mat experience for me, when you go it to get your laundry done quickly you go to a laundry mat, and it never fails that the machine stops for another quarter. I've been to laundry mats once before and this is the experience Scenthound reminded me of. Again, maybe this model works for other dogs, but every time I picked up my dogs or were dropping off my dogs and there were other big dogs there, those dogs also seem scared.

Very caring, very smart, and has always made the correct call for our pups when issues arise big or small. Speaking as a OCD critical care nurse (comes with the profession) I trust the guy! Here's where I went wrong. We moved and tried another vet a few blocks from our house because one of our dogs had a toe infection and we thought it would be easy. Biggest regret ever. Now after 2 weeks on antibiotics from this other clinic our dogs toe infection has not healed. Different doc every dressing change. They don't get to see the full picture of start to finish, just the one day they look at it. This never would've happened with Dr. Unflat. He keeps a close eye on things and the pets aren't with different veterinarians each visit! Now they think it may have bone involvement and be aggressive. That or cancer. I'm kicking myself. Should have never strayed. Now I'll be running right back to Dr. Unflat as soon as they open tomorrow. I don't care how long the drive is or what traffic looks like. All I care about is what's best for my pups, and that's Dr. Unflat! If you're still reading you're on this journey with me now lol.
