In particular, I think the store area should be separated from the dog areas, as the constant barking can make the environment stressful and disruptive. I have been a loyal customer for many years and have entrusted K9 Resorts with my three pugs. Under the original owner and staff, both I and my dogs were treated like family. Unfortunately, my last three boarding experiences have been increasingly disappointing. Instead of being welcomed as a long-time customer, I have been greeted with comments such as, "Who are these dogs?" It was surprising and disheartening given our long history with the facility. The most troubling incident occurred during my most recent pickup. After I expressed that I was disappointed that no one remembers the dogs or me, the front desk employee became visibly upset. She went to retrieve my dogs, and while I was waiting in the lobby, I heard my smallest pug let out a loud yelp. Moments later, the employee came running into the lobby, yelling and holding out her arm, saying, "Look what your dog did to me," referring to what appeared to be a scratch. Furthermore I was being verbally confronted for expressing my dissatisfaction. The entire interaction was alarming and unprofessional, especially considering she was handling my three dogs at the time. I later called the location to speak with the manager, only to be told that she had resigned. I then contacted the corporate office in Berkeley Heights, where my information was taken and I was advised to contact the Regional Director. I did so, and he also took my information and told me he would investigate the incident and call me in 2 days. That was a week ago and I've heard nothing. My concern extends beyond poor customer service to the manner in which both I and my dogs were treated during this experience. I hope this matter is thoroughly investigated and that meaningful steps are taken to restore the level of professionalism and care that once made this location exceptional. It's is currently substandard. K9 Resorts has permanently lost my business. I don't trust them with my dogs and I don't like being treated poorly especially when I pay so much for their services.

When I brought it up, I was told that she trusts her staff to complete those services and that her role is primarily to do the haircuts. The solution offered was simply for us to come back. The problem is that customers shouldn't have to make another trip because services that were requested and documented weren't completed. When you're driving to drop off and pick up your dog, you expect everything to be done correctly the first time, especially when it's already noted in your dog's file. Another inconvenience is the payment process. They do not accept credit or debit cards and instead require payment through Zelle or by check, which felt unusual and less convenient than most businesses. What was also disappointing was that no refund, credit, or discount on a future visit was offered. Instead, we were simply told to return to have it corrected. Unfortunately, based on our experiences, we will not be returning.

Our trainer was Erin. She was fantastic! We did the 2 week day training program where we dropped…read moreoff and picked up daily. Our rescue was already a great, well-behaved dog, but she had some counter surfing habits from her prior life experience and we also wanted to prepare her to become a therapy dog. She learned the foundations of all the basics we expected during that two weeks, and Erin showed us how to keep consistent with her at home. Things are going great and we can't recommend GS K9 enough! I am sure all the trainers are great but we are partial to Erin as she really has a great personality for this, she is energetic and connected really well with our dog. Our dog is continuing to learn at home! We will be back for additional programs. :)

They did some really great training with our puppy. We continued his training with them to next…read morestage out of S.T.A.R program that he had graduated. This now opened more doors for him which we had him signed up for GDC training and sent to him off to train further with their top trainer. After completing his training for a month he was brought home by his trainer, and we were trained on how to continue on how he was trained repetitively. We discussed further training with his trainer that day about guard dog training, and he agreed that he would train him further and to call for scheduling. Now this is where things go not good. We have called multiple times to schedule with his trainer and we were told that they would get back to us. They did not get back to us and several weeks went by. We called again speaking with Lauren who assured me that they would call me back about guard dog training because she needed to speak with the owners about the schedule. No phone call was returned from her. So we called again and spoke with Danielle who informed that they were not doing any guard dog training, and they don't know when they will again!This is a K9 training facility that does all types of training! Why are we now being told that you Don't train for guard dogs when our personal trainer who had our pup at his training facility and trained him told us that you do? Then I asked if they could recommend another facility that trained for guard training and we were told that they would email several recommendations to us. Again they didn't send us any emails referring us to other facilities! Why after being with Garden State K9, and bringing our pup to their facility for training for months to graduate the S.T.A.R. Program so he could continue on working with this facility that trained for everything we were told by the way. As well as seen Private sessions with our trainer before we had our pup trained by him. On top of the Thousands of Dollars we have paid this facility and we never had a single problem. So we don't understand why they have treated us like this after so long training with them? We had no issues paying their fees for training and we would have gladly continued to pay for his training advancement fees. This is why we are Not sure as a rating. We gave 3 Stars for their great training. They lost 2 Stars because they treated us poorly we feel. When you Lie to, and Deceive your customers for No Reason we have a right to let other potential customers know what they might expect

I found this place from a friend after telling her about a really bad experience I had with a local…read moregroomer in Martinsville. Mia came highly recommended. She was very easy to deal with. She took my dog within 1 hour of returning my call. Mia was very professional, along with her staff. She was very familiar with Pomeranians and how they should be groomed. She discussed how I wanted him cut so we were both on the same page. There were hundreds of pictures on the wall of all kinds of dogs that were groomed. I mentioned my Pomeranian is 15 years old and didn't want him stressed. Mia took great care with my boy and from the start to finish he was done in 2 hours. My dog Max was so happy! Paws About LLC did a wonderful job grooming him and my dog wasn't stressed. This groomer is located across the street from the Old King George Inn and in the same strip mall with The Clipper Club Hair Salon and Vested Interest Consignment Shop. You will need to pull around the back of the building. They are on the lower level. I saw several dogs leaving and each one was professionally groomed and the dogs left happy. I would definitely recommend this local groomer in Warren, NJ.
