Cupcake loves being groomed but did not like being in a cage or being blow dried and Bonnie, the owner of Canine Designs, made sure to give Cupcake the extra love and attention he needs. Fast forward five years later and Cupcake has a girlfriend. Her name is Waffles. And she is a pure bred shih tzu. She is full of energy and very lovable. She has completely different fur than cupcake. Cupcake has hair where Waffles definitely has more of a fur. Waffles loves going there as much as Cupcake does. They get to see other dogs. Get pampered by Bonnie and the ladies. Then one day we took Waffles to get fixed and oops, too late she was pregnant. Waffles delivered five beautiful Malshi puppies! Four boys and one girl. And my entire life changed. Nothing gave me so much pleasure than to come home and have all these little faces looking up at me. I showed up at Bonnies with my two dogs and the whole puppy family for their first baths. Bonnie and her ladies Andrea and the rest of the gang were in love! They were so gentle with Waffles Babies. Washing each one. Fluffing them up. And getting ready for their new forever homes. She was VERY REASONABLE in price when I needed it the most! Seven dog grooming could leave anyone broke! I kept two puppies. Big Fluff and Groucho. I couldn't decide which one to keep and kept two. I spend a huge portion of my life being a mother to four dogs and living up to the expectation that brings. Big fluff and Groucho are Malshi and they have the best traits of their parents with a mix of fur type. Again Bonnie works with me because she knows it's expensive for Four dogs to get groomed. Bonnie, Andrea, and the rest of the ladies at Canine Designs are my extended family for my dogs. They know Groucho has sensitive ears that have to get cleaned often and cupcake has skin allergies and they live my dogs like I love them. She showed so much genuine care and concern! I must have been visually emotional, and Christine responded with utmost sincerity and compassion. I honestly believe the groomers have potential and should be trained better. But if you honestly aren't comfortable doing a dog's haircut, i rather the honesty and not the mess up. I have a bernedoodle and asked to have him short for the summer with some poofiness on the top of his head. I even showed picture inspiration. I'm thinking they'll fluff him out and shorten his hair, NOPE. FIRST of all, it took 5 hours and a half. Absolutely too long. SECOND, my dog is shaved down to the skin, they said he had some matt's but i'd think they'd brush it out or even call to ask if i wanted him shaved down to the skin because of this. Nobody notified me. THIRD, he wasn't even fluffed out brushed nothing. It looks like they air dried him the whole time. Probably why it took 5hrs??? According to Petco's vaccination policy (as shown in the screenshot included in the photos), the rabies vaccine is not required for dogs 16 weeks and younger. My vet does not administer the rabies vaccine to dogs under 16 weeks, so my puppy hasn't received it yet. Since my dog is a standard poodle, she requires more frequent grooming due to the nature of her coat. As she's still a puppy, we're figuring out the right schedule for her grooming appointments. We were preparing to go out of town and she looked ready for grooming, so when we saw that Petco Verona had appointment availability on short notice, it seemed like a good option. Before making the appointment, I made sure she met Petco's vaccination requirements and had physical copies of her up-to-date records. I'm frustrated that I wasted my time preparing and taking my dog to the appointment, only to be turned away upon arrival due to the staff's lack of knowledge about their own company's policies.
