Anybody who knows Penny remembers the old Pitbull ring fighting days and you can get her to talk about if after she's had a few. Just let her finish the clipping job first! Used to love this place back when I lived on the west coast, but the owner Penny has gone off the deep end. Last time I went with my darker skinned Poodle Gladys, Penny started blasting racist country music like Johnny Rebel. I tried to ignore it, but every time the n-word was sung, she shot a dirty look at Gladys. She went ahead with the grooming job and kept making rude remarks about the texture of Glady's fur and kept ending sentences to the dog with phrases like "YOUR PEOPLE!" The dog grooming place across the street might not have Glady's favorite post haircut biscuits, but after Penny wrote off the burning crosses in her yard as a business expense, I had to take MY business elsewhere... read more

Penny is the absolute BEST!! She is so loving to all the pets she grooms! We have a somewhat "difficult to groom" Yorkie! So we were told by many other groomers in the desert! Finally found Penny and she had NO problems grooming him and was shocked that others did! Max loves her and he knows she is kind and gentle and loving. She does such a great job with him! I cannot say enough good things about her service and kindness. We have since purchased two more Yorkies and she is just as great with them! They all look forward to seeing Penny! I originally scheduled an appointment for my black dog Bowser to get a trim and nail clippings. After confirming with Penny for the 2pm appointment, I showed up about ten minutes early. Penny became irate when she saw my black dog in my arms and started guarding the barber chair even though it was empty. A white dog came through the door and Penny immediately started trimming the dog's nails. Staring at Bowser and I with a scowl on her face. I left after the third white dog was seen and we were still waiting. The only explanation Penny yelled when I would ask if we were next was "ALL DOGS MATTER". Not sure what her problem is, but we just went somewhere that felt more safe. read more

Penny has groomed our dogs regularly for over 10 years and does a wonderful job! Hannah and Rosy just love her and are so excited when we go to the new shop. Hannah is part of our family because Penny was helping to place shelter puppies and grooming them so they could find homes. She truly is an animal lover. Rosy has seizure problems and we would not trust her with any other groomer. Penny really takes her time and cares about her furry clients! So happy that Penny now has her own grooming shop. I have known her for many years as she worked for other groomers. I took my Westie to her new shop today and I was very impressed with her facility. Of course, the treatment she gives our fur babies is wonderful, as always. She is very gentle and loving and an excellent groomer! last time I went in there there was fecal matter. smeared all over the walls and urine all over the place in the bathroom, the place smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in months, all during a pandemic. we. will NEVER bring our dogs here again for grooming they left worse off than when we arrived. this place should be closed down. read more
