My Muppet is a Toy poodle and needs grooming. I went to several places. Sometimes I would get her back and she was too short, too long, half done, or just ok. One time when I picked her up she was a bit groggy, in a strange way. Another time drenched with flea powder (she has never had fleas). Never knowing the result or her care, I started to dread taking her to get groomed. Recently, I trimmed her bangs and ear hair. Big mistake, as you can see in the "Before" below. Weather is getting warm and she was a ball of hair too. On the recommendation of a friend, I made an appointment with Grooming with Love. I am glad I did! BEST. CUT. EVER! Shonna called me before, during, and after the cut. She did a great job. She shared some grooming ideas for the next time (as my dog's ear and face hair grows back from my bad trim I did too short). I found this groomer on Yelp and for all parents of Fur Babies we worry when we go to a new groomer!! So I read the reviews and made an appointment at 8 am. I arrived a few min early and was greeted warmly by the owner and the groomer, they were both lovely and took all Covid precautions. My two French Bulldogs were sniffing all around and wanted to go in and see what this new place was all about. I felt totally comfortable leaving them. I picked the dogs up exactly when I was told they would be ready and they were. They smelled and looked great and were happy and not nervous at all. I took my two Maltese 12 year old dogs to the groomer she shaved my little girls tell you do not shave a Maltese his tail she said it is because she doesn't brush dogs tails or if they have any matting she won'tThat's bullshit she should've told me in advance and I would've taken my dog home and giving her a bath myself. Brought my dog in today, have been going for years, had to argue about the cut I wanted, was told her "card" stated always had same cut, which is not true. Was told my dog was matted prior to even handing her over, she is a curly dog and is brushed everyday, which I told them. Was over arguing with this woman, so told her to do what she wanted. Was then told is would cost $65 dollars which was more than I have paid in the past. I will not go there again! read more

Though Karen is no longer with us, Shonna has made it a point to keep her memory alive in the shop. They have now implemented laser teeth cleaning. I just brought Chester in today for the first one in what should be an 8 week process and I am very excited to see the results in a few weeks. This place is super out of line for this. I called today asking if they had any appointments last minute cancelation..she (don't know this person's name) said yes I have one for 8am the following day but she would have to keep my dog for a while. Simple question correct got my answer that's where that should of ended. I told her I would get back to her soon to confirm and before I could explain or even finish my sentence. She says "your funny" and laughs?! Then continued to talk as if I wasn't there. Forgetting i WAS STILL ON THE PHONE. Proceding to talk about me to another coworker. This person who ever you are that's very unprofessional and extremely rude. If you had let me finish you would of know why I was letting you know that I would have to get back you. But instead you chose to be rude and condescending. So I called back right after to apologize for the inconvenience that I put her in but made sure she knew that what she did was wrong. Her response was again rude and pathetic"I'm trying to groom and I don't feel well" And finish with "my dad has cancer." And hangs up on me. Excuse me your there to GROOM that's your JOB. And I don't care for a split second if your whole family has cancer you don't treat people that way. No thank you! I was respectful and tried to apologize even when I didn't do anything to her. So I hope that anyone bringing their beloved pets knows the true colors of the crappy employees working on their babies. And to that person who wanted to be an ass to me for no reason. This grooming salon was recommended to me by a friend. I took my dog in to get a standard puppy cut (she's a Pekinese mixed breed). When I got there it looked like they were already slammed with work. They basically took her to the back room right away and I had to stop them to give them some direction on what I wanted. It was very rushed and I was not impressed at all with the way they handle first time clientele. When I went to pick her up, it was the same thing. Very rushed, "who is your dog ?"and then they went and got her. The only good part of the experience was that they washed her halter and collar for me which was very nice. When I got her home I started to examine her haircut. They were supposed to blend her head into her body but it was just choppy like she moved when they were cutting her and no attempt was made to correct it. She also had choppy spots on her ears and her torso like it was a super rush job. I had been told by the person who recommended them to me that the owner told her they like to take time with their first time clients and get to know them, but that was definitely not the case with me or my dog. For $65, I expect better quality and service. I feel like they violated several points in their mission statement. I won't be going back. read more

We started taking our Schnauzer to them on the suggestion of a friend. They have been just great. We like something a little lower maintenance than the usual Schnauzer cut, because Charly likes to tear around the yard and chase bugs under the bushes. A regular cut would be hopelessly matted. GWL understands, and they make him look great with a more practical cut. Plus, I've arrived early and seen Charly on the table with the groomer, and Charly is relaxed and comfortable with him. That means a lot to me. A previous groomer used to complain that he wasn't "table trained" - well, there's no evidence of that at GWL. --------Recent change: Unfortunately they have lost their most talented groomer, and the last two we've tried were unimpressive. I have been going to Grooming With Love for a year now Shonna and Ken and all their employees are the best!!! My dogs always come back smelling great and so happy. My younger dog Skippy hates his nails done after the 3rd time he lets Shonna file his nails it's amazing. My other doggy Sammy was not in good shape he hadn't been done in over 6 months etc after going through a bad devorice they explained to me that the most human thing to do is to have him shaved down and start over explain that they do not de tangling that it hurts.
