We have taken our last two dogs to her over a period of several years and were always happy with her work. The last time I took our dog to her she snapped at me for coming too early, and since then she refuses to respond to text messages emails or voicemails. I find that unprofessional at the very least. Carolyn is by far the best groomer in town for Standard Poodles. It is a difficult cut and I went through close to a dozen groomers before I found her. She is friendly and amazing with my dogs. Highly recommend her! read more

My husband and I decided to give this place a try not knowing it would be the best hidden gem of all groomers in the Valley! We've had our cat Marley "lion groomed" three times and he's always at ease and comes home confident and showing off his fresh fade. The clincher was taking our Chihuahua in for a nail trim. For a small dog parent, this is difficult and time consuming. They clipped and buffed up my pup in no time! I went here to have two nervous cats shaved for the hot summer months here in the desert, and let me tell you -- that wasn't fun for any concerned, least of all the cats. The groomer was a really good sport, too, especially when one of my more annoyed cats scratched the shit out him. But he just kept going, soldiered on as if nothing happened. He said, "It's just another battle scar." I even had the cats sedated on Kitty Valium. They could hardly walk, but they sure could fight. It was a trying experience, but it had to be done. They were shedding everywhere. I think we got a whole 'nother cat's worth of fur out of each one of them. read more

Caroline does an amazing job with my dogs. One has a very thick undercoat and after grooming it looks like she has lost 10 pounds - so sleek and no more shedding. My other is a standard poodle and he loves it there so much that he falls asleep in the tub (as well as looks great when I pick him up). She is a bit pricey, but worth it. read more

I've been taking my little Lucy to Shear Art since she was a puppy. Lucy is now 7! I have nothing but good things to say about Caroline and her business. Lucy is a little anti social and she usually doesn't let people get close to her and when we're out in public with Lucy we have to warn people who are petting her not to get too close to her face, but with Caroline it's different. Lucy and Caroline are like besties! Lucy trusts Caroline. I was very surprised to see Caroline put her face in Lucy's face to say good bye and Lucy had no problem with that! That truly warmed my heart I believe Caroline is the best because she whole heartedly loves and cares for all animals! And she's NEVER given Lucy a "bad cut". I'm from the desert, but lived in San Diego from 2011-2017 and I would still make the drive out here to have Caroline groom my Lucy. I live in the desert now and will still continue to take Lucy to Caroline. I have tried other groomers (times when I couldn't make the drive to The desert) and Lucy always looks her best when I bring her to Shear Art! Lucy loves getting groomed (except the bath part) and I believe it's because of the experiences she's had with Caroline! So don't think too much about it....call to schedule an appointment. I met Caroline, the owner, while she was at Petco in Smoke Tree. After trying a few different stylists there, I found that not only was she the best, she gave my children such love that I was hooked. I am so glad she has her own place now where my children get treated like royalty. Loved this place!!! Caroline is so sweet and seems to have a passion for what she does. I have two female Shih Tzu's and have had nothing but bad experiences with groomers injuring my girls and not even having the courtesy to let me know. My younger pup Lola is 3 yrs old and is very particular with new people. She makes her decision if she likes you or doesn't like you within the first few mins she meets you...and heaven forbid if she doesn't like you. She was at ease and very comfortable with Caroline which made me feel good about leaving her in her care. I am happy I tried this place and now have a permanent dog groomer. Caroline is the best. I had to reschedule my original appointment and she was so sweet in accommodating. I came in 15 minutes late to my appointment ( I had misheard the time) and I felt so terrible! She was so sweet and made sure my dog was taken care of, (even though I was probably such a terrible customer for being late). My pooch loved her! And she looks so great! I knew this was the place for my doggie when Caroline took her leash and my dog didn't hesitate at all. She's so sensitive every time I took her to her other groomer she would fuss and cry and wiggle out of her leash when the groomer would take her to the back to wash. But not with Caroline, my dog was happy to be pampered. Seriously you have to try her out, it feels like such a peaceful, well managed environment and its very well priced, I have a little Maltese and she knew exactly how to cut and clean her face and made her look so adorable. I first met Caroline when she was working at another shop. She was above and beyond ANY groomer I have worked with in years. She helped me with my home grooming and handled the grooming at that shop--both dogs loved her. When she opened her shop, we followed. The dogs (and I) love the new shop! It is conveniently located, bright and cheerful, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Caroline provides a level of personal attention that I have not found with other groomers. The dogs look great when she has done her magic. What I notice most is how the dogs respond to Caroline. They run into the shop to greet Caroline and are playful and happy when I pick them up. I was referred to Shear Art by another groomer because one of our dogs is a Norwich terrier and her hair needs to be hand stripped and not many groomers do this. Wow, was I lucky to meet Caroline! My husband and I have taken our dogs to various groomers in the area and never have we been so pleased until we went to Shear Art! Caroline is the best there is!! She went over every detail, even showed me a book on styles for our dogs type, and then she cut them exactly how I wanted. We couldn't believe how amazing they looked, they smelled fantastic, looked awesome and their hair was so soft and 3 weeks later it's still soft. People have even commented on it! Needless to say we will never take our dogs anywhere else! Both our dogs are rescues and have different hair types.. Raleigh, the Norwich, has a course golden hair that needs stripping. Bundles, the Lhasa Apso/Shih Tzu/Maltese, has soft white hair with some wave. Caroline made them both look the best we've ever seen! Do yourself and your pets a favor and take them to Shear Art. I almost forgot to mention, her salon is the best I've ever seen, extremely clean and calming for your pet.
