I want to start by saying I've been bringing my dogs to this clinic for over nine years and have…read morenever had a negative experience or questioned the costs--until today. This visit was simply a follow‑up for blood work. The technician asked if there were any issues (there were none) and whether I needed to see the doctor. I said not unless the doctor needed to see me. He then took my dog to the back for the blood draw. At checkout, I was told I had seen the doctor and had blood work done. I explained that I had not seen the doctor, and it took several minutes for that incorrect charge to be removed. I then paid the remaining $174. When I reviewed my bill, I noticed a $64 Technician/Assistant Fee, a $25 blood collection fee, and the actual testing fee. When I asked what the Technician Fee covered, I was told it was for taking my dog's leash, walking her to the back, drawing her blood, and bringing her back. This is an outrageous charge. I even asked what the cost would have been to actually see the doctor for the follow‑up, and I was told it would have been $79. At this point, it seems it would be more cost‑effective to "waste the doctor's time" for an extra $15 rather than pay a $64 fee for a technician to walk my dog to the back and draw blood. At this rate, will humans next be charged an additional fee for a nurse simply to escort them for routine blood work? In nine years of coming here, I've never experienced anything like this, and I'm extremely disappointed. It may be time to start shopping for a new vet clinic or at least compare how other clinics structure their fees.

Dr. Sokhey is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, genuinely cares about your animals and has very good/competitive prices. Although we see him for regular visits, we've also had two situations in which we needed to get in quickly for urgent matters. Both times, he has gone out of his way, even with a full schedule, to get us in which is a clear testament to his character and dedication. Thank you, Dr. Sokhey for always being there for us and providing top notch service and care for our animals!

I called yesterday 8/20/25 and spoke with a very kind young woman, I explained that do to my income (which is only monthly) and what was the amount for the services that were going to be provided. I explained that the amount that I was needing to pay was very difficult for me pay, I then asked if there was a payment plan and/or any price reduction for Low Income pet owners. As explained to me by her was; WE don't do any payment plans and also WE do not have any adjustments in any services rendered. I then explained to her that I will continue to try to figure out how I am going to pay ($400) for the appointment for a X-ray and Veterinarian exam. The nice kind young woman said if you need to cancel your appointment please call the day of 8/21/25 the appointment you are able to cancel the appointment. So this morning 8/21/25 I called to cancel. Now this is what I experienced when calling Summit Animal Clinic to cancel my appointment was a woman named Nancy answered the phone and these are the comments to me trying to just cancel my appointment ; You cannot cancel a appointment on the day of the appointment you are going to be charged a cancellation fee! Then I received a lot more unwanted conversation from her. To the point she even made the statement of SURRENDER my service/support dog to HAWS. I don't understand why anyone needs to treat another person like this let alone knowing the position I am in. My deepest sadness comes from not being able to have my only partner in life that has been beside me through the ups and downs for the past 11 1/2 years and has been a Patient of Summit Animal Clinic for 11 years to now have this turn out to be a conversation of rude and unkindness because of my situation. Peace, Love and Kindness has become lost as how to treat one another.

When we took a tour of Skydance in Douseman, I knew they were genuinely compassionate and kind people. They answered all my questions and the facilities were clean, spacious, and comfortable. I felt like it was a home away from home in a beautiful setting in the kettle moraine forest. When I dropped my boy off for his 9 day stay, I was greeted with kindness and they were very thorough to make sure they had all the information they needed to make his stay comfy. The caregivers were so sweet and patient with me every time I called to check in with them. I found it very comforting to know the caregivers are well educated and trained in CPR. They are also very diligent to appropriately match dogs together for play time so they are with personalities and sizes that are safe. I highly recommend this incredible place to anyone looking for great care for their furry family member. They go above and beyond and treated my dog as a member of their family. I am so grateful.

We boarded our dogs there for a week in June and they were supposed to receive a bath before pick up. The boarding facility sent them home with both of their backsides covered in diarrhea. I questioned bringing them back, but decided to give it another shot, which was a terrible mistake. We recently boarded them both for a week (total bill over $1000) and I let the staff know that both dogs have some level of anxiety about boarding at drop off. Again, we asked for the bath, nail trim as part of the boarding package. My 20 year old daughter picked up the dogs and upon bringing them home, she called to tell me our 10 year old had a dramatic limp and was not willing to move or get out of bed. Upon further inspection, we noticed that he had licked his front paws raw and his nails appeared to be clipped down to quick. None of this was communicated at pick up. His feet were so bad he refused to walk and I had to take him to the vet. I called the Dousman facility and was transferred to the manager and explained the situation to her through tears. How did they not notice this throughout the week? She said she was going to discuss with staff and their director would be in touch to remedy the situation. That was 3 days ago and I haven't heard anything. This place is advertised as an upscale crate free facility, but obviously they are not taking care of the dogs as advertised. Do not trust this place with your dogs.
