We did manage to cut things back in the late fall, but we knew we needed to do more or things would end up a mess again. I contacted MetroGreenscape after being ghosted by another landscaping company and they have been nothing but incredible. Tina was very responsive and got us set up with an appointment for Sean to come out and give us a quote quickly. Sean was early to the appointment, professional, and really knows his stuff! We discussed working in phases due to the amount of work we have to do, and they are completely happy to work with us on that. Sean gave us a quote to clear the front, back, and side yards, lay pine straw, and install drainage - y'all his guys got it done in one day! We are so happy and amazed and the work so far and can't wait to continue working with Sean, Tina, and the rest of MetroGreenscape! They've been very communicative, and explained everything they are doing clearly to us and are just great!!

Had to have a second company come and help because they flat out refused to help with landscaping, saying "that's not my job" and "that's not my department". It's a landscaping company but they turned it into a super mediocre construction job, which is not what I was going for at all. I would definitely go with a different company, Dala Casa was extremely helpful and came out to fix all the stuff they didn't do. They also promised "color and height and asymmetrical landscaping", then planted 9 white flowering plants in a row in front of my house, removing all the color and leaving it looking boring and dull. It's a brand new home and really bummed me out. Add the fact that the design fee was $1000 and I don't really know what I paid for. Requested berry bushes and fruit trees, but that was forgotten. Justin "knew a guy" for all the requests and projects, but none of them ever materialized. Then, his assistant promised she'd be "boots on the ground all week making sure things get done" after I contacted them about how unsatisfactory the job had been and she never even bothered to show up. Really disrespectful for a such a large contract. John who assisted with my porch/stairs was very helpful, but the company they contracted with for the stair fabrication was super mediocre with poor finishes and a confusing layout

We used the service for 2 1/2 years. We have just under an acre of property that has many lovely…read moreplants and trees and flowers including rose bushes several clumps of azaleas a few decorative garden beds in front of the house at the front of the property and quite a few bushes and various trees around the property. Pros: they showed up most of the time on the day they were supposed to. The worker that spoke good English is always friendly and pleasant and amenable to what I needed done but never quite sure it would be OK with the owner to dig a hole instead of weed that day or print something instead of mow even took the same time. Also they're willing to use our electric blowers instead of gas blowers that we provided as we moved from a city where the gas blowers are illegal for the known health effects on anyone nearby, we had several rechargeable and electrical blowers and didn't care it looked perfect. Cons: trying to communicate what was needed was very challenging as two of the three worker spoke almost no English and the same lead worker wasn't always there. The owner will be the first one to tell you that anything you need done just let him know the day before and he will tell his workers but it never works that way. If you're not there on the property to supervise you may have recently planted flowers pulled up, something spray that you did not want sprayed, pruning done not at all or incorrectly for the health of the plant etc.... I found this service needed very close supervision in order for the property to not to decline slowly overtime from lack of quality care versus what they specialize in whic seems to be outwardly neat and clean tidy appearance. The workers just seem to have only very basic minimal knowledge of landscaping and plant care. Also they kept mowing thru the winter every week - we are from a sunny climate and caught on midway through the winter that didn't need to be done and so they stopped. But they had been charging us the whole time to come and do this completely unnecessary service I guess they knew we didn't know better. My husband and I laughed and said well we deserve it I guess for being naïve. We had a whole row of boxwoods die slowly over a year for reasons we could not figure out and they did not take the initiative to amend. On our own we tried a few things but they just seem to be doing worse and worse. Our gardeners initially said they just didn't know , it happens sometimes. When I finally got a hold of the owner over this, his first answer was a spray with a broad spectrum insecticide even though we live Lakeside so this is the last resort that should be chosen, he had not even visualized the plants, and once I researched myself I found many other steps that could be taken preventatively and acutely to help this type of trouble. So I came up with a plan, but the end the instructions I gave them were not followed through while we were out of town and we ended. Wasting more time and money because the products and supplies we brought were used incorrectly and on the wrong plants. It was almost comical. Turns out it was spider mites and it's common in this area due to poor pruning and lack of good mulching etc..... The problem could have been prevented and could've been treated without a ecosystem and water-polluting broad-spectrum insecticide as long as it was communicated when the problems first started and we had a plan. This is one of many such issues that occurred in the course of our business relationship with this company. Once the owners wife who is very pleasant and allegedly has experience and certification in landscaping came out at my request so we can look at the property and come up with a plan for them together - we were more than willing to pay her for her consultation time and also work together with them on coming up with a solution to keep the property healthy. She never followed up on the agreement we reached or returned my phone calls after that or send me the plan she said she would come up with. I think her final excuse was she was just so busy sorry she never got to it. I ended up pruning and feeding many of the plants in the property because I just did not want to see them die and it wasn't being done correctly or at all. Overall I would say Communication was what was lacking the most because the owner rarely if ever shows up on your property and the workers are clearly very minimally educated on plants and how to care for them properly. This would be a good gardening service for someone who has only grass and very few items to care for or is knowledgeable and willing to do much of the care themselves or who has a lot of extra time to stay on top of the workers and the owner to make sure you're getting what you paid for and the property is cared for, or who doesn't care that much about the health of the green things on their property as long as it looks decent to neighbors who walk by.
