I brought him in under sedation and Cheri tried everything she could but it is just not in his best interest and Cheri nor I were open to putting him through that trauma. Cheri gave me thorough advice on how to help and handle his shedding and she genuinely cared. To some of us our pets are like our kids and I would absolutely trust my pets in her hands, you can tell Cheri has a spot on intuition with animals. Thank you guys!

The employee who took my appointment later confirmed that she had, in fact, given me that information. Rather than apologizing for the misunderstanding or offering to continue the grooming service, the owner refused to provide any service because I was understandably upset after being accused of lying in front of other customers. I left embarrassed and inconvenienced after taking time off work for my appointment. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when the mistake was made by the business.

I wish I had, because my experience was nothing like the glowing reviews I saw. My dog stayed here for seven days. I provided one bag of Pet Fresh food for each day of his stay, plus one extra bag as a backup. When I picked him up, he had noticeably lost weight. To make matters worse, I was handed back four bags of food--two that staff said they had frozen and two that had been kept refrigerated. There is simply no reasonable explanation for that amount of food being returned after a seven-day stay, and it left me questioning whether my dog was properly fed while he was in their care. As if that wasn't bad enough, my dog came home limping and developed a respiratory infection after his stay. Instead of picking up a happy, healthy dog, I picked up one who was thinner, injured, and sick. The emotional stress of seeing your pet come home in worse condition than when you left them is something no owner should have to experience. Boarding facilities are entrusted with our pets' safety, health, and well-being. In my experience, this facility failed on every one of those responsibilities. The money I've spent on veterinary care after boarding here only adds to the cost of what has been an incredibly upsetting experience. I would never trust this facility with my dog again, and I strongly urge anyone considering boarding here to do thorough research beyond Google reviews before making a decision. I only wish I had.

I tried everything, but I couldn't safely get scissors between the string and her tiny tongue. Panicked, I rushed her to San Carlos Animal Hospital hoping someone could help. Even though they normally don't see baby chicks, the staff immediately went to ask the doctor if they could at least remove the string. The moment Dr. Steely came out, they quickly took my chick straight to the back, and within minutes he had the string removed using tiny precision scissors. The urgency, compassion, and kindness they showed for such a tiny little life absolutely amazed me. Everyone there was so wonderful through the entire process, and I'm incredibly grateful they took the time to help her so quickly. Thank you all so much for caring the way you do.

Called to get a medical groom for some matted fur on my cats underarms. I was told they would do an…read moreexam to get him established with the vet then take care of the matted areas same day. The vet came in and didn't even touch or look at him and said he would need to fully sedate and shave him all down. He has a beautiful long coat and only two small mattes under his armpit. I was told to make another appointment for the following week and was charged $83 for them to just weigh my cat. Didn't even look at his eye which I was also concerned about. The vet look very hungover or still half asleep and had no bedside manner. The only good part was the technician who was very kind. But this is not what I was told on the phone for price or procedure and I feel completely ripped off for an "exam". Can't even imagine what they would have charged for the actual appointment! Will never return or would trust them with a pet.

With the addition of our second puppy, Lucie, in 2016, we asked Phyllis to come back to correct some poor behavior, and train the two girls to go to/stay on a mat on command. Within just three sessions, the difference in behavior in Lucie was astonishing. We had really felt like she was just not going to "get it" before Phyllis came in, but with Phyllis' help, Lucie is following commands like a pro. I really cannot stress how completely transformed Lucie is within just three weeks (this, by the way, is a puppy who has also been taking classes at Fox Valley Dog Training Club, where her progress has been steady, but definitely slower - with Phyllis' training, Lucie is now making quick progress, and sometimes even surpassing the other dogs in her outside class). Our older dog, Ella, is also making improvements with Phyllis' help, and what I love most is that Phyllis challenges her to take the training even further with more advanced cues. Whether you have behavior issues, bonding issues, or simply want to train your dog using positive reinforcement (rather than shock collars, like certain Geneva facilities use), Phyllis is your point person. When I came to pick my dog up, the woman working there was yelling at one of the dogs in the crate telling it to shut up! To be fair, she did cut him the way I wanted but my only thought is what kind of treatment was he given behind the closed door? It's unfortunate because this was conveniently close to our home but I don't care how far I have to drive to ensure a cage free friendly experience for my pet.

Juno was very excited to see new people and was not scared there. She apparently had been stung or bitten and it was a reaction. She had a an abscess in that spot from the bite or sting, which was drained and she was given meds to help her heal and relieve any pain. Other than the cone of shame and running into walls with it, she is feeling very good now.
