We then got an email that the snake was with animal control at the Denver airport and we needed to pay 400.00 to release the snake from their care. Then we got an email stating that we needed 250.00 for an all city permit. We paid all of these fees. Then they asked for 495.00 stating that the owner had to be here to sign papers to give us ownership, which we did not pay. They are not getting any more money from us.

It literally took a village to transport our two dogs over to Thailand from California. It was a crazy ride for us human on the other side awaiting the dogs arrival. No fault on Starwood but be prepared for uncertainty with the airlines. A huge "Thank You" to Ryan Bole @ Starwood. i Know she worked her ass off to make the transport happen. Very professional w/human touch, which I truly appreciated. She replied to all my questions and worries in a timely manner, even during her day off and during her meals. So sorry Ryan. Last note, strongly recommend Starwood to handle the entire transport. Passports, luggage, two kids...and a cat Moving across the…read moreworld is hard enough, but moving with a pet? Sounds difficult, because it is. BUT thanks to Starwood and Rosie, they made it feel no harder than just booking a ticket. We reached out about 7 months before our scheduled move from San Francisco to New Zealand and Starwood engaged with us right away - they sent us plenty of resources to get us started then worked with us to set up our plan, timeline and kept us on track. Permits, flights, vet visits, quarantine, certificates - there's a lot. They did all the heavy lifting and told us exactly what we needed to do at every step. Rosie was always very responsive and kept us informed as each stage progressed. We trusted their extensive experience and knew we were in great hands. The big day finally came, our cat was picked up, and loaded onto the plane, after a brief quarantine in New Zealand, we were reunited and couldn't be happier. When you adopt a pet, it's a commitment for the rest of their lives and there was no doubt Misty would be coming with us. Thank you Starwood for keeping our family together, and thank you Rosie for making it so easy - we wouldn't have been able to do it without you.
