My daughter hurt her wrist enough to need a splint. Her insurance unfortunately all of a sudden required a referral for an orthopedic. I called Arundel Peds to get them to fax one. They wouldn't because she was considered "a new patient" because she hadn't been in a few years. My daughter was in a lot of pain, and really didn't need to be poked at. They wouldn't fax a referral even though I explained to she was in no condition to be seen. The receptionist have/had no bedside manner! When we took her they insisted she get shots in both arms (including the sore arm) really??? (Her dad took her or id off insisted to wait) Then when she saw the doctor we were told that a well visit was not even needed. So put my kid through more unnecessary misery instead of faxing a referral. We will be changing insurances and going elsewhere!

I was on bed rest and and couldn't attend, however, my husband and mother loved it upon first site! This office is very colorful and extremely welcoming to new patient and families!! My daughter has been a patient since 2009. They came to the hospital when she was first born and were very knowledgeable about the process! My daughter was a patient of Dr. Jobes, who left this practice! We simply adored her and were sad that she was leaving! However, we had to choose another primary in the office and were pleased to with all of the options present! All of the docs and nurses are very knowledgeable and are very good with children and babies! My daughter is not afraid at all to come to the office for a visit! Even for shots, they are quick and get em done! We totally adored the young lady Vanessa who assisted in our daughter's appointments prior to her turning 3! She cared very much for our little one which made it very easy to come back and feel good about the practice! The office is very colorful with a sick room and a well room to keep the children separate if they are ill! The woman who called us back was nasty. She was NOT the doctor or PA- she called us back to say only my sick son could talk to them, that he needed an adult doctor and would not tell us the doctor he saw for his heart before. My son tried, sickly to ask all the questions he didn't really understand. I tried to ask through him since I have a medical background, but a feverish sick person can't easily relay questions. She was so horrible, she wouldn't help in any fashion. Her tone was clipped and intentionally sharp/mean-We needed guidance, and she told us to start from scratch though he is allowed to go to a pediatrician until 21. The man who answered the phone was great, this woman called us back and was not nice or compassionate at any moment. She must be the one they use to call with bad news.

They require you to designate one primary parent, and will not communicate appointment times, information in the chart, etc with two parents at once. Though I explained in two long conversations that both parents have custody, and both need equal access, they refused to provide it. This is simply unworkable for parents who, for whatever reason, are unable to communicate with each other, or do not agree about their children's health conditions. Because they would not give both custodial parents equal access to the chart, we will not be going with this practice.

I ultimately chose this practice due to the quality of the providers, availability of providers after hours and and the accessibility of same-day appointments. They seem to have everything worked out with regards to getting patients in and out during covid. When you arrive you call the front desk and they escort you back straight to your room. So there's no waiting around in the waiting room. I look forward to things going back to normal in the future so my partner can go to appointments with me. Dr. Mannan is by far the best pediatrician in this area. I went to this practice when I was…read moreyounger and saw Dr. Youn but switched to Dr. Mannan when I was a teen. The waiting room has a sick baby side and a well baby side and they have a big tv with disney movies playing on the wall inbetween the two. This works well for paranoid moms but the sick kids keep coming over to the well baby side. Dr. Mannans nurses don't have the best bedside manner but they get the job done and do shots quick. The doc is very calm and very good at what he does. He doesn't need to see your child long to properly diagnose them. He sees you in his office after appointments and explains everything to you and answers any questions you may have. I believe he used to work in neonatology. I had 3 preemies and everytime they asked who I was going to see as a pediatrician they kept asking how I knew about Dr. Mannan and seemed thrilled. That has to be a good sign. He was really good with the preemies and explains all complications and addresses any concerns. He's also really good with skin rashes. Anyways. I couldn't say enough good things about him. But his staff is another issue so that is why deducted a star.

I have been coming to this location with my children since it opened for urgent care, and have now…read moremade them my kids' Primary Care Providers. I love that they all know us when we walk in, are welcoming, and we do not have to wait long to be called and cared for. I feel like we are there every other week, but my kids, even when they are not feeling well, love going here. My 3 year old Grandson gets excited every time we pass the building and screams "There's my Doctors! There's my Doctors! Can we go there?" There was one time that I walked in with my Grandson, and right after I checked in, without warning he vomited all over me. Next thing I knew the Doctor, Medical Assistants, and even the Receptionist all ran over to help. You could tell they cared! I'm thankful for Kinder Mender and their services throughout the years. They have always listened to my concerns, are very thorough and patient, are always available to answer my questions, and they allow me to be a part of the care that my kids receive. I have always felt comfortable with the information that I was given when I leave, and know that my kids were competently taken care of. It always amazes me when I walk in with a sick child, and by the time that we leave they seem to be miraculously healed and full of energy. My 3 year old was bit by a bug a day prior and when she got home from daycare, it was like she had…read morea 3rd knee. Swollen, red, and warm to the touch. Went to kinder mender in glen burnie. We got there at it was packed, I looked online and it said about an hour wait. Contemplated going somewhere else but my daughter was having fun playing on the train and was being occupied plus the wait time for regular urgent care were about the same. We were called back for vitals within 20 minutes and then had a short wait before we saw the dr. Within a minute of being seen, the dr said it was a skin irritation due to an insect bite (celulitus), prescribed an ointment and some antibiotics and we were on our way to the pharmacy within about 40 minutes of being checked in. Would definitely recommend. We have been here a few times and the customer service has always been great!
