This is my usual spot for Friday-night solo outing. The bookstore is large with tons of books for browsing and buying. The staffs are all nice and helpful. I really don't have much to say but that I love this bookstore. I hope it won't go out of business any time soon. I took off one star because Barnes and Nobles in general could really use some update to the store appearance in general. Other than that, I'm always a fan of this place. read more

We love this store. It's a great place to take the kids too when they're bored. They have story time for kids twice and week. It has a Starbucks Coffee inside, with outdoor seating as well and a kids playground just outside. It's also a convenient walk to loads of shops and restaurants as well as Clarendon Metro station. As chains go, this particular branch is a good one. There are comfortable leather chairs upstairs that look out on the courtyard and two full stories of books with helpful staff that will assist you. When you walk in, to the right is a bargain bin, to the left is the magazine section (TONS to choose from) and the Starbucks cafe to the left. Parking is a problem, yes, but the Clarendon Metro is only a 5 minute walk away. read more

Within walking distance to my apartment, this location has everything! True, there are bigger B&N stores, but each time I've gone, I've found exactly what I've been looking for. Great selection of books and the staff is very helpful if you can't find where a specific book is located. They recently had a GREAT sale where normally priced $25 books were $4-$6 a piece. Normally I try to check out books from the library to save money, especially since I'm a fast reader, but it was too good of an offer to pass up! Definitely my neighborhood bookstore! read more

I stopped in B&N the other day to get some new books. They had a lot of great deals, I got two hard cover, NY Times Bestsellers for $4 and $6 a piece. The only drawback to the store was the bum sleeping on the floor in the fiction section. I told customer service about it and they promptly removed him from the building. read more

I have been to many Barnes & Noble locations. This location is by far the best. Not only does it manage to retain a cozy atmosphere despite its sprawling two stories, the booksellers are actually book people. Each bookseller seems to have their niche area and are spilling over with recommendations and stories about their favorite books and authors. I must recognize Lance in particular who hand sold me a few selections and engaged me in one of the more interesting conversations I have had. A fantastic shop with fantastic employees. read more

The cafe at this Barnes and Noble rocks. They have the friendliest people ever working there, and they really know their regulars. Plus, if you're a member, you get the 10% discount at the cafe. I work nearby, and it's my lunch spot of choice. (Extra points for the uber cheap bacon, egg, and cheese English muffin sandwiches-- woohoo!) read more

I love this Barnes & Noble! This store is in a great location, has a great layout-it's two floors!- and has a great selection of books. The Starbucks Cafe is usually pretty busy with students studying or people meeting for coffee. This is a bright, relaxing, and enjoyable place to go. read more

Rude Employee in the Cafe would not even let me move the table closer to the outlet so I can could enjoy Barnes and Noble and do some work. I think she was the manager at the Cafe and she got nasty with me when I told her all the outlets were full. I worked in Customer Service and someone should give that rude woman a lessen in how treat customers. I won't be back to this one also because there is no parking. I love the DC one so I will be going there. read more
