I dont know who decides prices but their back issues are all damaged and the are charging $5-$10 or more for their back issues that are bent , torn, ragged, water damaged and not even for key issues, but issues that are worth 50 cents at best. I looked the other day and an issue of X-men 2099 #20 which is worthless and they had a price sticker on it for $7.95. Save yourself the time and skip this crapfest.

Absolutely amazing to meet what I assume is the owner, who shared his incredible knowledge and quite interesting, if horrifying, details of William Burroughs biography. This is to me, the most crucial difference between a corporate chain, where the clerks might be nice and courteous, and a community based shop that knows its patronage, able to share insights with its customers, connecting people to stories and ultimately, creating new stories. What the gentlemen shared with me is sensational and haunting, it was about Burroughs shooting his wife at a party, trying to perform a trick by shooting the apple she placed on her head. He missed the apple. It haunted him and now, me, what a graphic image, what a horrendous and tragic way to part with life. And what a wonderful experience and a great book i purchased, in fact the selection here while small and eclectic, is quite impeccable. I purchased Zadie Smith's new book "the Fraud" and so glad i did, I really want that book in my library. Can't wait to come back to this shop.

Upon entering we were greeted by a nice gentlemen who let us explore the store at our own pace. We were pleasantly surprised by the vast variety of books that were culturally sensitive, with strong Black protagonist. Being a multiracial family, this is very important to us. Take a look at the great selection they had, you won't regret it. They also have story time during the week and weekends. Oh, it's also right next to the Crayola Factory! There's street parking throughout and a few public lots in the surrounding area. Can't wait to come here next time we are in Easton. If this review was helpful, show me some love.

Beautiful house, and given the small space they have, they have a pretty good selection. Independent bookshop, hard to see these days, well kept. Maybe I am the a..hole, but today I bought a bunch of books, paid for them and noticed they have wrapping. Two of the books were for a child's 1st birthday, I so asked if those could be wrapped. The owner said yes, (she was checking people out) cut the wrapping paper and the proceeded to help the next people in line, who were not in line when I checked out. The next customers has a bunch of question about water color painting and brushes, for which I waited. Then the customers wanted some brushes that where in the cellar. The owner then left to go get them. Meanwhile, I am just left stranded. I took the two books back and left the store. I was a little upset, even said WTF as I left. (Not too proud of that, I just amazed I was being disregarded). I returned to store, waited in line and returned the books. While I waiting I overheard the cutters who were given priority talking trash to the owner about what had happened. Am I wrong? I am not sure I'll go back.

Amazing store, amazing owner!…read more I stopped by tonight to pick up some spell candles for my best friend, and while I was there , the kind owner saw my pain, and my sadness, (it's been a crazy long week of ups and downs) I bought a goddess figurine which kind of just called to me- she came from around the register area to give me a hug, and reassure me that everything was going to be ok! No one has ever touched me the way she has! She could see right through me and that I was having a difficult week. She made my whole weekend better just by caring! The clearance sections are organized and seem to be sized appropriately too. Cashiers were miserable and unfortunately had zero sense of urgency. I'm kind of accustomed to that and because I love Gave's so much it's something I'm willing to go through. The pantry section is very small and there were lots of empty shelves.
