Love coming here with my kids. It's really a great way to spend some time and kill some time. I also love coming here and comparing prices to Amazon. Sometimes Barnes and Noble has a better deal. I come to this location specifically because it has the built in Starbucks and great spot to post up and start a good book. Great location, awesome book selections, and staff is always kind and helpful. 5 stars all around.

We stopped by this bookstore to get Starbucks coffee drinks while touring Chandler. It's the only Asian community in Arizona so we wanted to check it out. This bookstore is located at the Chandler fashion mall with an outdoor entrance. Store itself is huge but kinda dated. Still it's as great as any Barnes & Nobles. I just love bookstores! The Starbucks here is a good sized store with many little cute gifts to choose from. The dry flower bookmarks were so pretty and unique. We walked around a little and got our coffee drinks. The caffeine boosts got us ready to drive to Phoenix airport & fly home. Glad to see a Barnes & Noble bookstore still surviving in Arizona!

I love Books and Barnes and Noble is a favorite for me. Whenever I get a chance I try and visit one. Nothing is better than just relaxing with a old school book and no tablet/screens. It's quite inside and most times you can even enjoy s coffee in their cafe. Today we left with few things. I love their small desk decor/games etc. this location is huge, clean and organized well. Service was friendly as well.

This is a good place for gifts for readers, game players, model makers, writers, artists, collectors, thinkers, and all ages of people. I can't imagine not finding a gift here. The clearance is a pretty great section. Good Wi-Fi Coffee The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star is that they get pricing wrong about every third time I visit. I had a 50% off sticker on the game, got charged more than half. Same with a few books. It's just, I suspect, that their computers don't catch it and the people ringing me up aren't looking at the big red sticker. I've had to double check my receipts for years. It's second nature. Other than that, it's a terrific store.

Definitely crowded for the Christmas season. My husband was searching for a few books on chess and needed more than the first few pages provided by Amazon. He found a couple books - perfect. The registers by the parking lot don't have a wait.

One of the survivors of the ongoing retailpocalypse. This "brick and mortar" store lets you pick up and peruse physical copies of books before purchasing, unlike those "online" retailers. Good old-fashioned big box bookstore. The coffee in the cafe is Starbucks brand but the food isn't and it's way better.

B&N's has a great array of offers in their bookshop. Fiction, non fiction, music, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, graphic novels, gifts, games, toys, music and more! Such a wide selection in this day & age where paper books are not the most coveted ítems in town. LOL They have a Starbucks in Barnes and Noble & its so convenient to grab a cup of coffee or tea with a snack while shopping and enjoying the bookstore. Friendly & helpful staff. If you have time: it's such a great place to unwind and find a great read. Support is needed for this chain to survive. Apparently, Barnes and Noble are worried about Amazon nipping at their heels. Think they've already taken a bite?! The location at the northeastern corner of Gilbert & Germann roads, will close on March 28, most everything is currently 50% off. Sadly, Barnes & Noble announced plans to close about one-third of its stores, roughly 225 of them, by 2023!

Well, like just about every Barnes and Noble we have ever been to, this place is a readers dream come true. Let your imagination go wild from Harry Potter, Star Wars to autobiography and so many more. You can find Lego sets to novelty items to support your anime addiction. A Starbucks is conveniently located inside of the establishment. You can enter from within the mall as well as the parking lot. Quiet, super clean and well organized. Keep in mind that if you entered from within the Mall, the back gate locks on mall hours.

I come to this B&N about once a month, usually at lunch. It is much smaller than some of the original B&Ns, which are now shuttered. I guess the days of those double decker, every book ever published B&Ns are long gone. No more Borders. No more B. Daltons. The list is long and distinguished. Thank you Amazon for making it cheaper and easier to buy a book, I think. Many a Saturday night, after a dinner out, we would get lost in one of the many bookstores in the Mall, looking for our next read. Now it's more magazines and periodicals that catch our attention, or puzzles or Legos. Go figure. I am a member of B&N's Membership book buyers club (and Amazon Prime), so I enjoy 10% to 30% whenever I buy a book here, (instead of doing it on my phone). LOL. Instant gratification, as they say. ThIs B&Ns has a good sized Starbucks, along with a sandwich and Cheesecake Factory operation. One well kept secret... it hasn't been taken over by WiFi zombies: Must... find.. electricity... to... eat.. my... brain. LOL Enjoy!

    Nice kids section

This Barnes and Noble location is a good one as far as Barnes and Nobles go. It is well stocked and relatively well maintained. The book shelves are well cared for and they have a wide variety of options. Their bathroom, however, is consistently a mess! OMG! So they lose a star for that because it's been a consistent problem that apparently management doesn't care about. The employees here are generally friendly and helpful, I've found. The children's area is nicely laid out with plenty of options for various reading levels and a nice amount of elbow room. I do have one complaint although it's not with this store specifically so am not removing any stars for it. I signed up for the membership during a promotion that said if you signup you get a free Starbucks drink every month for the year. I got the first coupon via email as expected and haven't received another since and yes, you need the emailed coupon in order to redeem. So I stop in and talk with someone who tells me to call their 800 number. Grrrr. Who has time for that? I asked someone else and got the same answer. Frustrating!

Imagine my delight to realize that the Changing Hands Tempe location was mere minutes away from our previous stop! Of course, we had to visit. I was immediately engrossed by the assortment of non-cheesy and extremely cool gift items that were at the front of the store, but also sprinkled throughout the location. I also really enjoyed that they had both new and used books. I try to limit myself to purchasing used books for environmental concerns, but it's tricky to find new titles pre-owned, so I justified a splurge and purchased two new books. The prices for both new and used books were extremely fair. In addition to the copious amounts of books, gift items, indie bookstore merch, and everything else wonderful, they also have a photo booth! My sister and I have an agreement to indulge in every photo booth we stumble upon, so we were super excited to happen upon one here. I can't say enough good things about this spot. I'm already excited to return.

I was shopping, and waiting for my trade offer for some items I brought in. I asked to look at a Collector Comic Book that was locked in a case. I asked the staff member if I could take the book out and look a it because I wanted to make sure nothing was cut out of the comic. He immediately became defensive, and his attitude became hostile. I said "if there is anything cut out it's not worth $25 and I want to check. If I damage it while looking at it, I'll pay for it." His response wasn't helpful or understanding, it was pushy and abusive. "You should just get these while you see them. No one has these, and I've never seen one in our store since I've been here". I said "I have been collecting comics all of my life, and if there is anything cut out, it's not worth $10 to me". Again, instead of being friendly and asking anything helpful or asking questions, he was pushy and forceful, and became even more irritated when I pointed out the water damage on the back of the comic and told him I didn't want it. He was very unfriendly from the start. A toxic person, to be as kind as I can be. I received notice that my trade offer was ready, but I cancelled my trade offer, and walked out of the store with the items I had brought to trade. I WILL NEVER RETURN AS LONG AS THAT PERSON WORKS THERE. When I advised the staff of what happened, they seemed disinterested in doing anything. I asked them "how can you allow a person who treats customer this was to work here, and why would you want to work here if the business allows this?" They all looked at me with blank stares on their faces. A manager did talk to me, but it was the same attitude as the rude employee. He didn't introduce himself my name. He didn't try to find out the name of the employee. His attitude, like the rude staff member, was an attitude of not wanting to be there, an attitude of feeling irritated that they have to actually talk to a customer and assist them, an attitude of superiority and entitlement, an attitude that their customers do not matter to them and that they don't respect people in general. I advised their manager on duty that I work as a customer service consultant, and the employees treatment was unacceptable. He did offer complimentary credit, but did not indicate how much. I declined and told them honestly "I don't care if you pay me a Billion dollars in cash, I don't want it if that person works here. What he did was unacceptable and he should be fired". I am sure they won't do anything, and I want everyone to know that Bookman's is a TOXIC company who does not appreciate their customers, and they will screw you over and abuse you if you go there.
