FINALLY had a Saturday off, and I'm so sad I wasn't able to make it out here before now. I also brought a bag of books to sell. The processing for the books I brought took about 30 minutes (it was an IKEA bag FULL, I just needed to transfer to one of their bins). That gave me time to look around and see what they might have. Not all of my books were accepted, which was fine, because the reason this place is so big and yet does such good business is that the books are well currated to ensure that they are desirable. Older books, or less desirable are kept down to one copy, whereas more popular books may have three or four of the same book, but the book is popular enough that it will be sold. Value wise, the rare, signed, and first editions area is VERY reasonably priced. Value for books brought in is given as either cash (I was given a lesser amount this way) or store credit I walked out with a few of the sequels of book series I have the first and maybe second of, but this way I could complete the series for less. I also found a few books on my TBR that were available. Books are indeed at used book prices, not hugely marked up, so overall I considered the visit a huge win. Overall, I guess my complaint is only that this is the only location, and I wish there was a sister store more toward central or even the west side of Orlando.

When I first walked in I wasn't even sure where to begin but it was great to be able to browse and see their extensive collection. Staff is very friendly and let us know that they curate their books from donations. If you donate your books to them, they create an account where you can have a credit on file to use. As someone, that occasionally does donate books, this is fantastic news! Additionally, all of their books unless otherwise stated are half off the cover value which is incredible and affordable! You're not only decluttering your house, but you're helping out a small local business. With every book you bring in, you receive credit toward future purchases. I already have more credit than I'll probably ever use, but I'm happy that my previously read books are going to a good home. The store has a pretty decent used book selection with floor-to-ceiling shelving (and also some graphic novels, CDs, and DVDs). It's always hit-or-miss, so each time I go; I never know what I'll find. There's also a little sitting area with coffee or hot cocoa, if you so desire. How much are the used books? They're half off the cover price. How does the credit work? You get an additional half off the half-off price. So if a book has a cover price of $8, the store sells the book for $4. I can use my credit balance for an additional $2 off (half of the $4), leaving the book at a total of $2. There are also some $1 books on a rack outside the store. Everyone working there is always super friendly and helpful.

My dog is very quiet and well behaved. As far as the layout goes, this one was two floors and escalators. My favorite sections where on the top floor so I spent most of my time there, you'll find books for all kinds of hobbies, travel books, cookbooks, books for pets, sketch books and coloring books. Downstairs had a kids section, fiction and non-fiction books and magazines. Many books were discounted or on sale. Overall it was quiet and had lots of seating space to work from. In a time where we see less and less bookstores, it is good to see such a great bookstore in our community. Wall of Books is a refreshing glimpse into that wonderful institution of a bookstore. Once upon a time, bookstores were a part of the shopping landscape, just like record stores. That pesky internet has changed a lot of businesses and businesses like bookstores and record shops are more of a unique and rare sighting than a regular business that you see everywhere. It is good to see Wall of Books and I would definitely recommend a visit here.

I was able to find street parking, which was shocking to me for a Saturday! This store is very open and full of light. The decor is adorable. They had quite the extensive inventory of books. I bought a staff recommended summer read and it was great!
