On my way to Orlando International Airport, I wanted to grab a coffee and found Joe Muggs Coffee Shop while searching for a convenient stop. When I arrived, I discovered that the coffee shop is located inside the Books-A-Million store. From their menu, I decided to try the Peppermint Mocha. While my coffee was being prepared, I had the chance to browse through the Books-A-Million store, which was a pleasant surprise. I explored some of the latest book releases. When my coffee was ready, it was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the coffee beans were excellent, and it was just what I needed. It was my first time visiting this location. It's similar to a B&N. Feels like it has a larger manga section than B&N. I signed up for their membership and it's pretty worth it. Chris the associate was extremely helpful and nice. $25 for the membership, but if paid with a card, you'll receive a $10 giftcard to use within 30 days. I received an email after signing up that gives me coupons to use in both in store and online purchases. I used my discount at their coffee shop first. Pretty tasty drinks and the guy was very nice as well. Our purchase total was $170 before using the discount and coupon. At the end, it was $125 for all. Definitely will come back again. read more

I love BAM and miss having them closer to home. This one is a must visit when we are over that way as it's the only one I know that's still open within a shortish drive. When you head in there are usually tables outside the front doors with clearance items. Inside there is a cafe to the right. The accessories and gifts section is to the left. Straight back an beyond are all the books, magazines and the like. Staff was quick to say hi and ask us if we needed help when they saw us. They are a larger location so they have plenty of selection. It is clean and well kept. Everything is organized and you can tell they keep it up daily. The categories for the books is clearly marked above each shelf. Overall: A Definitely miss having this chain closer to home!! Pop on in and visit when in the area! read more

Rating: 3.5 stars, I am usually met with good service and a nice shopping experience. I am an avid reader. So I shop at this bookstore fairly often. Usually, I have a shopping experience that's perfectly fine. The service is typically pretty friendly, though I have noticed that, a lot of the time, there are problems with understaffing. I don't blame the employees for this, of course. It's just something that I've noticed, so I have to have more patience when looking for help if I need something. My only other issue is the shelving at this store. more than once and I, I would say, fairly often, I have found books shoved into shelves that are too small. Entire displays of the same author or books of the same size just crammed into shelves that are too short, leaving books bent and torn. I haven't seen the issue as much very recently, but I still do see it. Usually, the store and washrooms are fairly clean. I almost always find what I'm looking for. And even if I don't, I always get help looking for it or ordering it to be delivered to my home. read more

I have always loved Books A Million! Every time I've been to this location it's been clean and organized with nice workers!

I love this store! Of course, I love every book store so don't be surprised. Besides having all the books you would expect, I like that it also sells games and other items. There is a coffee section but I didn't stop there. The staff is helpful and personable. read more

This is the only Books A Million I've been to which I actually like and it's because of the great staff at this store. They are all very friendly and go out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. The store is clean, tidy, and well organized. Of course there's also the helpful associate to point you in the right direction if you a looking for a particular book or subject matter. Unlike the usually over-crowded bookstores, I've never had a problem finding a comfortable chair here to sit a while and do some in-store reading or magazine browsing. read more

First of all, when I see a bookstore, I have to go into it because I love reading! I came into this bookstore and was amazed by how clean and tidy it was! I immediately looked for my favorite section, which are business books, and picked up few books that I never read before. The staff was very helpful. The only downside to this store is that the checkout counter and their process seems to be a little out of wack. Not sure if was just this particular day or this happens on occasion but it seemed that the check out didn't have proper information on the accurate prices on their books. However, it seems like an easy fix for them to correct and I would recommend this store to anyone looking to add to their library! read more

Yesterday I needed to catch up on homework so I stop by Books A Million to have a coffee and get the work done. While I was there, the table next to me had an older lady, who clearly needed a break from her Medicare problems. This poor lady kept getting disconnected and calling over and over simply to get medications she needed for her health. I even over heard her state she couldn't afford all the opioids nor did she want them. She also stated she was living out of her car. Steven the barista at joes came to her, on what I'm assuming was his lunch break, and offered to get her dinner from target. She respectfully declined and he may know her well. To see a simple act of kindness in the world we live in today, gives me hope for tomorrow. I'll most certainly come back for a cup of joe books and a smile. read more

This is a very good bookstore...It's got a huge selection of books of other items... The store has a nice layout and is kept very clean. It's pretty easy to find what I you're looking for, but if you have trouble locating something, just ask an employee... They are very helpful and will be more than glad to assist you. Even when this location is busy it's easy to find a spot to sit and read. There are plenty of chairs.... read more

I love the bookstore! There is just something about being surrounded by books and all the options available to you that make me love coming here. This store is great, the staff is very friendly and it's always clean and easy to find things. The other reason I like this particular store is because it is chock full of cool novelty items you might not find anywhere else. If you're a little bit of a nerd and looking for something special, you should check this store out! Plus everything is well priced and dare I say cheaper than Barnes N Noble! This location also has a Joe Muggs coffee stand with a few seats inside and outside. I hope you have a faster barista than I did though. He was the only one working for a while and decided to take everyone's order in line first and then start to make the drinks....thankfully he finally got help but 15 minutes to wait on one drink is a little too long. My frozen hot chocolate though was as delicious as the real thing from Serendipity in New York City. Check out the pastries too! They have Cheesecake Factory cheesecake slices. read more

As other posters have said, this is a nice store with friendly staff. However, the checkout procedure makes me feel like I am dealing with used car salesmen.  It is just one lengthy barrage of pitches. For example, yesterday I was just trying to purchase a magazine and the guy at the register started his usual spiel. "Would you like to sign up for our rewards program..." I politely shook my head and said, "No thanks.".  He then tells me that policy states he has to deliver the ENTIRE pitch and actually continued!  Really???   Then I was asked if I wanted to support whatever their charity of the week was.  "No thank you." Then I was asked if I would like to take advantage of a magazine subscription offer.  "No thanks." Although I enjoy visiting BAM and perusing the latest selections, this checkout process wil be keeping me from actually purchasing anything.. read more

This is just a review for Joe Muggs. I hope they seriously consider this feedback. We wanted to try their coffee as they had in the menu outside the store and inside some really creative drinks. The problem is, when you come in at 1pm in the afternoon, and they look closed, it's not going to bring in any service. We figured maybe the barista was on break, and we would look around the store until we saw them there, about 25 minutes of looking around at books, we saw the barista in his apron and everything randomly pacing the store reading books and on his phone texting? We were so confused. Then another employee came up and asked if he could make them a drink while he was hanging out since she was about to go on break and he finally went back to the cafe and made her drink immediately. We went up and asked if they were open in the first place, and he looked stunned. We ordered and he said he would let us know when it was ready. The drinks took 15 minutes to make but they were really fantastic. Taste was great, strong coffee too. It was just kind of ridiculous that we had to wait to be served at the cafe because the barista didn't think to be at the register to signal that the kiosk was open. The hours said they closed at 9pm on the website and on google maps, not sure if the barista just doesn't care or wasn't trained properly, but it felt more like a problem that we wanted to get coffee in the bookstore rather than having the cafe accessible in during normal operating hours of the bookstore. Also the fact he didn't acknowledge any guests approaching the cafe looking to see if they were open until another employee asking if a drink could be made for them was super unprofessional. Either have it open with a barista there, or put a closed sign on it. Customers shouldn't have to play a guessing game. read more

I enjoy walking around this store and look at all of what I call the nerd-dom merchandise. Lots of sci-fi/fantasy books and merchandise. Everyone is very friendly, but I wish their prices were cheaper. I think I would buy from there more often. read more

No one in the store is willing to step out from behind the counter and help customers. Books are not in order on the shelves and when asked about titles employees with a sigh walk down to the computer to "help". It seems to be too much effort. Wonder why bookstores are closing.
