The clearance items were located at the entrance and I selected items to purchase at 70% off or more: Vintage printed stationary made in Italy and MAGIQUE AFFIRMATION CARD SET. The card set box and two of the cards were damaged and missing one card. The cards were inspired by our relationship to the sun, moon, cosmos, and earth, with intentional details that celebrate the magic, power, and beauty within us all. I, also, bought a standing day by day calendar for 2026 that was identically priced online. I plan to revisit the bookstore again in the future. read more

Love this store. Service is always 100% I never found a worker who isn't nice and helpful here. I notice a lot of the same workers here for many years. You can tell a lot of the workers genuinely love books too. Selection is pretty good. I could find my strange books I didn't think they would carry. I wouldn't say it's the biggest B&N ever, but good for being 10 minutes from the house. It's the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Value is typical pricing so I'd say it's typical value. This location has the bargain cart out front often with a nice variety of bargain items inside further. read more

Good customer service. Staff was welcoming and attentive even during a very busy day. Parking can be tight but they have EV chargers easily available and overflow parking on the side if needed. The store is busy as well, but I got the impression that the store actively puts in effort to keep the displays and overall appearance upkept. read more

I really had no idea that this locationneven existed until today. It's kind of hidden from the main mall area, and that's probably thereason why. I hadngottnlen ised to their other location at Patomac Yards because I've spent manuly days and weeks working there in the cafe. Based on the online pictures it seemed likentheynhave tables and chairs and most lokely WiFi which arenthe three essentials for me to do work. I found out that this store is missing something else that's important, namely outlets to plug into. I found two outlets in the entire store way innthe back where they had individual cushioned chairs. Nowhere even close to the cafe area. That would have been ok however I couldn't even use my cellphone hotspot because it's so deep inside of the building. Why hotspot data? Ahh it's becausen their Internet wasn't working either. I basically left very dissappointed and walked across the street to the mall. It seems that other comenters have complained about the same issues and the management hasndone nothing to make corrections. That being said, I doubt I will ever waste my time there again. read more

The three stars missing are because of Kaitlyn, and Kaitlyn alone. This rude front-of- store employee ruined our experience almost immediately. Management, please let her know the following: It's unacceptable to SLAP gift cards down on the counter toward the customer -- especially when customers are simply aiming to confirm gift card balances before shopping. You can hand them back or slide them toward the customer politely. It's also unacceptable to eschew common courtesy such as "thank you" and "you're welcome" when you're in a customer service role. After our initial excitement to have a shopping spree, we literally chose not to spend any money at this location because of our interaction with her. Disappointing. read more

If you have read any of my recent cluster of reviews, you will realize it is just about been literally 20 years since I moved back to Boston area. when are used to live down this way, I know that I've been to both of the nearby Springfield mall and to this specific Barnes & Noble. I think the last time I walked in here was literally 1999. this occasion was as I was making my way back up north driving early on a Saturday morning. I was supposed to meet up with some friends that I have just recently met nearby, somehow that did not work out. I don't quite know why, and that really doesn't matter. I knew that I was coming to the specific location driving all the way back up north. This was after visiting and catching up with some other older college friends, and celebrating a major mile stone birthday for one specific college friend in particular. The location is very clean itself, I suppose it's a somewhat standard layout like a lot of Barnes & Noble's are. it reminds me very much of the Barnes and Noble locally here in the Braintree area. The staff were nice and helpful, and I asked about the specific book that I wanted to buy. Luckily it was in stock. I happily purchased my book, as I was beginning the long trek home. Hopefully I will get to revisit this location again, and perhaps maybe those new friends will have me over their place. finally, the book that was purchased was The Lyrics by Paul McCartney. read more

My wife and I love coming to this Barnes & Noble, the staff are friendly and we come here for not only books, but other cool gifts like The Nightmare Before Christmas Monopoly and Harry Potter collectors items/toys. You can also come and get a variety of bird games and puzzles. For books, if you have kids, you should definitely check out their children's book section. They made it really fun for kids. There is also a Starbucks located in the Barnes & Noble and you can sit and read a new book while sippin' on some hot cocoa or coffee or even come here to do homework and use their free WiFi. read more

Found a few items I needed with no issue. got to the register and the girl there rang up my things. when i handed her a large bill, she was visibly angry and annoyed about having to walk three feet to her left to do something with the bill and then back to the register pounding the keys harder, still had a face on, like it was soooo hard to do this task to open the register and count back change.We all have our days however, her appearance was sloppy overall and her attitude sucked. if she doesn't like the work or has to do extra work that's not my issue. It's a Barnes & Nobles everyone. You've been in one at least once. The nice thing is the cafe, you can have a snack/ beverage and enjoy a good read whilst you're there. But the staff are amazing. They're so friendly and helpful and cheerful! They also have a fairly large kids section. Honestly I was impressed at it. If you have children or about to have children you should stop by. But, The manga section is TINY. Its 1.25 rows and just carries the basic stuff. Which is disappointing cause I read online that the company was gonna expand their manga sections which is the real reason I wanted to stop by and see I'd this location had. read more

With the demise of Borders, Barnes & Noble reigns supreme across the land as the nation's top corporate, "brick and mortar", bookseller. This may not be a good thing for the Springfield B&N location. Competition keeps businesses hungry. This B&N was not hungry. Speaking of which, if you, the customer, were hungry, you really don't have a large selection of cookbooks to choose from to use to prepare your dinner. Frankly, the entire Food & Drink section of the store was pretty underwhelming. The store is, otherwise, clean, well-lit, and has plenty of free parking out front. If you're looking for books, especially cooking-related, look online or at an independent bookseller vice the B&N in Springfield. read more

This is a great location for browsing books and getting a treat at the cafe, but it is a slowly dying chain with the likes of Amazon and other online retailers that offer much better prices and selection. The staff here are great and I never really have a problem checking out other than when they hold store events but that is expected. This one is located close to other stores and as well the mall across the street. I just wish they offered prices comparable to Amazon. read more

I hadn't visited this B&N store before. It was similar to their other stores. This store may not be as large as some of the others in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. They checked to see if a book of interest was available in store, and when they found out that it was not, they offered to order it for me. They have a reasonable selection of books and a pretty extensible collection of magazines. I wouldn't hesitate to return here when in need of a book. read more

Standard type of location and par for B&N stores. The lady was helpful and assisted me in ordering a book that they didn't carry. Unfortunately, she couldn't help me locate a finance book I was looking for but I found it on my own. The coffee was surprisingly good here compared to other locations - I know they brew a standard pot, but still - for some reason, it tasted better than the swill they brew at the GT location. Or maybe I was just in the mood for some coffee. Who knows. Parking is an abomination - they have some weird system where you come in on the south side of the parking lot and then have to exit in the center in front of the DSW there. Either way, I won't drive out here when I live next to one in Tysons - but it was a target of opportunity while I was headed out to Fort Belvoir and I would go back if I'm in the area like that again. read more

I'm a huge fan of books and so I'm always hanging out around here since it's the closest large bookstore around. They're just like any other Barnes and Noble bookstores, but probably a lot less crowded and more space around the shelves. It's got a great atmosphere, I even find myself sitting down and reading for a few hours against the shelves. Hint: If the lines are long, try going to the starbucks cafe (which is usually near the entrance) where they also ring up books. read more

This Barnes and Noble is the closet to where I live. I've been to many other BN in the past and this is by far my favorite. I have never once been to this location and not been helped. Great place to shop for books! The customer service is excellent and it's nice to see so many young people working so hard. So many businesses now the employees are on phones or gossiping with each other, but this nice young man (Mark) helped me find the book I needed. He was very patient and polite. Good to see in the next generation! I frequently stop by to read in their cafe and no one ever bothers me or asks me to leave. I buy gifts for my grandchildren there all the time, besides the books they have a fair selection of toys and figures of whatever the new movie is. read more

Very good selection on books, easy to navigate layout. Still don't understand why some books are cheaper online @ BN's site (even with ship to store option) than at the store. Perhaps it's to try and get a few extra bucks from the in-store browser who needs the book right then, but I would think it would have the opposite effect of making people just buy online and ship to home/electronically, quickly enough. Anyways, I hope this store remains open for a long time - I still prefer holding a book instead of a device - my eyes are drained looking at a computer, cell phone, tv enough throughout the day as-is. read more

I came in looking for a particular book, I went to the help desk, there was one male and two females. I asked to know where a book was and they all stared at me like I was crazy. One lady tried helping me but she had a huge attitude. She left me after she took me to the aisle, I was looking for 10 mins and could not find the book. I went back for help and the lady still was there just talking to coworkers. I would recommend some customers service books for them and how to treat a customer, they all seem like they didn't care. read more

Very nice atmosphere my son needed a book for a project so I called to see if they had it on hand and they did. They also held it for me at checkout so when I went to pick it up I just asked for it and it was ready to go so that was very convenient. We decided to walk around a bit to and check to see if they had any other books my son could use for his project and my son absolutely loved the kids section. He's into gravity falls and has been having trouble finding their books be their place had it so he was excited. I would definitely return, employees were friendly and they were also very easily accessible if we needed help. There was also a coffee shop (Starbucks I believe) and places to sit and enjoy a book as well. This place is good for kids and adults alike! read more

I find the service at the store exceptional. Sometimes I can't quite remember the exact title or the author, yet they actually find the book I'm looking for. How they do that I'll never know. By and large, I find all the personnel to be friendly and helpful. They escort me to the appropriate aisle, look for the book and don't leave until it's found. It is not a large store so they don't always have the book I want, but they order it for me without fail. The cafe has Starbucks coffee and a selection of items for small meals and sweets. I like the store a great deal. So glad it's close to my home. read more

Restrooms are very clean. Great selection of reading material. There are some toys for the children, novelty items and electronics such as Nooks and cord cases, laptop cases and so forth. Typically Wednesday and Saturday mornings are kids story times. That last about two kid stories and a small activity to relate to the stories they just read. Watch out for your purchase receipt as promotions come and go including the coffee shop. The SMELL of brand new books. The carpet through could use a deep cleaning or replacement. read more
