I really had no idea that this locationneven existed until today. It's kind of hidden from the main mall area, and that's probably thereason why. I hadngottnlen ised to their other location at Patomac Yards because I've spent manuly days and weeks working there in the cafe. Based on the online pictures it seemed likentheynhave tables and chairs and most lokely WiFi which arenthe three essentials for me to do work. I found out that this store is missing something else that's important, namely outlets to plug into. I found two outlets in the entire store way innthe back where they had individual cushioned chairs. Nowhere even close to the cafe area. That would have been ok however I couldn't even use my cellphone hotspot because it's so deep inside of the building. Why hotspot data? Ahh it's becausen their Internet wasn't working either. I basically left very dissappointed and walked across the street to the mall. It seems that other comenters have complained about the same issues and the management hasndone nothing to make corrections. That being said, I doubt I will ever waste my time there again.

Felt very uncomfortable. Treated like African Americans don't read and didn't belong in there.

He was very helpful and pleasant to be around. Much of the books are in the Korean Language, but there are many books that have both English and Korean writing. I saw comic books with Asian spreading the word of God, but doing it in a way kids through adults can understand. Oh, did I mention Hello Kitty too? Hello Kitty watches, dishwasher sets and even a sleeping bag to name a few things. If business doesn't get better for the owner here, I eventually will end up closing the store forever. The owner does sell jewelry too. Especially if you are into holly crosses. There maybe something in here for you. Seek and you shall find...

After discovering it was our first time in, the owner gleefully offered us a tour. His knowledge was outstanding, and he left no shelf unaddressed. I would guarantee that Al-Hikma has a book for any need one has of an Arabic book or any interest one has in the Arab world. There are books for learning Arabic (or for Arabs learning English), English books about Arab topics (pictured), Arabic books for every Arab country, beautiful religious books, specialized dictionaries, photo journal books, cook books, and much more. After more than an hour of our searching, the owner offered us tea and Arab sweets (probably not a guaranteed part of a visit, but we were lucky!). He distilled more knowledge to us before sending us on our way. We felt notably enriched for having stepped inside.

They added new flooring recently, made this place look better. But still everything is overpriced…read moreas usual. Don't buy your textbooks here!! Not worth it! Overpriced, and sometimes buying anything in this place takes forever(especially if there busy) more staff is needed!!(other than one person at the counter) Old textbook policy: you could return the textbooks at the end of any semester. New textbook policy:(as of last year) tried returning the books(I return mine right away usually) finally after waiting in line forever, I get up to the counter and the manager says I won't get any $$ back because the books are rented or buy-backs or something stupid like that. Ok really?!?? I waited in line that whole time to get no $$ back...seriously ridiculous.(not getting a ton of $$ money back as they never do, but something would have been nice!) So I went and returned all my books, and asked the manager why it's that way with the textbooks.. She said " well we sent an email to everyone telling them about the new policy" wow seriously? Never did that. Anyway I said thanks and walked off an asked a couple of employees at the counter, they said" yeah it's a new policy, and If you don't return your books exactly at the end of the semester, they charge interest on the textbooks" WOW. OKAY. Interest!?!? What is this a bank!!!?!!!? Needless to say I will NEVER get textbooks here again!!! Get them online!

I had a very disappointing experience at the NOVA Annandale campus bookstore. The staff were rude,…read moredismissive, and unprofessional, which made the entire visit uncomfortable and frustrating. Instead of being helpful, they came across as impatient and disrespectful. Customer service should never make students or visitors feel like they're a burden, but that's exactly how this interaction felt. I expected a much more respectful and professional attitude from bookstore staff, especially on a college campus. I hope this location takes customer service more seriously and works on treating people with basic courtesy and professionalism.
