From cookbooks to sci fi, from fantasy to biographies, from adult romances to children's picture books! You could find books from the 1600s all the way until the 21st century. The Book Trader is exactly what its name says: it trades books. You can bring books, which they will give you store credit for and then you can buy books for cheaper than they would cost in a regular store. This was such a great idea, in my opinion. I traded in 2 books and bought one. Now, aside from being separated vaguely by genre and authors' works being mostly together, there is no other sorting system to this store. Books, as you can see in my pictures, are all over the place and it is very hard to walk around parts of the store. If you want a specific book...good luck! Also, make sure you have cash on you. The first two visits were fine, browsed around and picked up some snacks without any problems. However, my third visit for drive-up pickup was extremely disappointing. I ordered three containers of Chobani oat milk, the same brand I regularly purchase from other Target locations without issue. Every single one went bad within 24 hours of opening. At first I thought something was wrong on my end, but when all three had the same problem, it became clear this location has serious issues with how they're storing refrigerated items for pickup orders. I've never had this problem at any other Target, which tells me this is a location-specific issue with temperature control or storage procedures. The oat milk isn't supposed to expire until February. Won't be returning to this location. My home Target may be in the ghetto with nightmare parking, but at least they know how to properly store refrigerated items and I actually get quality products. Made me realize I should count my blessings and appreciate what I have!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

This has been our first Japanese store interaction and in some way we find there's a fine thread of its culture weaved into this brand's fabric. The clothes seem to come up with a certain honesty with the way they are well made. This particular store is smaller compared to its cousin at the American Dream mall but has quite a collection for its size. The highlight of this brand/store is the unique self checkout technology they possess at the registers where you just need to throw the dresses in a bin and it checks you out without needing to scan the barcode manually. I couldn't resist purchasing some gifts for my little honey dews. They will love their plushy toys, and one of them is obsessed with the Crayon Shin-Chan. They also have quite a selection of skincare and makeup. I would say they offer more on makeup than skincare. I would have liked to see more on their skincare, but this is their grand opening, so we will have to see if more things are coming in. The salespeople are ready to help you with anything you need. I started holding too many things in my hands, and poof, one of the salespeople handed me a basket. Huge thanks! I was surprised they also carry clothing and accessories. While I did not need any tops or sweatshirts or sunglasses, I did score a bucket hat. One can never have too many hats, as I'm trying to avoid the sun. Chapter One is spacious & bright, the shelves were well-stocked, organized, appealing to the eye. They pack a great variety of books onto their shelves, so you're sure to find something that will interest you. In the back, they have children's section with some seating for an impromptu story time. Beyond books, they also have lots of bookish "gifts" to choose from - book vases, mugs, stickers, journals, you get the idea! I wish I was more local to Chapter One, because this would definitely be my go to!
