Worst customer service experience I've had. I spent over 45 minutes speaking with a salesperson who wrote up a tentative sales deal, discussing in detail my previous bad experiences. I was reassured repeatedly that this was "new management," "new staff," and that things had changed. Less than 72 hours later, that same salesperson didn't even remember me or our conversation. Despite advertising a zero-down deal, I was then told I needed to put down a $1,000 deposit. The sales environment is cut-throat--salespeople openly try to poach customers from one another, exaggerate how many bikes they've sold that day, and quote financing rates that are supposedly lower than what's advertised, which was clearly not accurate. Then there's the whole "Barnes Family" concept. When someone purchases a bike, staff jump on multiple bikes, start them, rev them aggressively, and shut them off--over and over. Personally, I wouldn't want a bike that's been repeatedly started and revved all day. To make matters worse, the exact bike I was there to purchase--after the salesperson had ignored me--was jumped on, revved hard for a solid minute or two, and shut off again. If you want to be treated like a dollar sign rather than a "family member," as they claim to value, this is the place for you. Otherwise, I'd strongly suggest steering clear. read more

The worst experience I've ever had purchasing anything !! If you buy a bike here and get screwed over after reading this then I told you so ! I was sold a bike that needed an out of province inspection BUT I wasn't told until after I signed the paperwork !! They then thought I was going to pay for the inspection ( $300 + ) and the repairs it needed because it failed !! Did I mention it had a A+ condition rating !! The repairs would be $900-1300 I was told. After lots of arguing I told them I didn't want the bike which made them change their tune. The manager then agreed to pay for it all so I left the bike with them. Today I went to pick it up and made it halfway down the street and the bike stalled in traffic. It then stalled again so I pulled into the parking lot of the Dollarama and left it there for pickup. They clearly didn't fix it. I've wasted hours driving down there and nobody could call me back when they had 4 1/2 hours left before they closed. Looking back The manager thought it was o k to sell an unsafe bike for me to ride home. He told me himself that no bike could be in A + condition !!?? I guess that's false advertising then isn't it ? To top it off when I parked it I noticed a broken left hand control switch on the handlebars. I guess buying two new bikes previously from them wasn't enough. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE July 14th 2025 saw an Ad on fb regarding a 2013 gold wing for sale in Barnes dealership hence enquired about it with a sales person named Dino Galvis and he was located at the Langley branch . He said that the bike is located in Edmonton AB , he thought that the bike was sold out but then he checked and then said that it is available . I asked for some photos of the motorbike because on the Ad on fb there was no photos , he sent few photos of the bike . I called the Edmonton branch to enquire about the motorcycle but I was placed on hold and then the call got disconnected , tried 3 times and couldn't speak to sales team . I called Calgary and spoke to kiran from sales team , he said the bike is in Edmonton and I said that I am interested in the bike and he asked me to do a deposit to hold the bike . I agreed and I did a deposit of 1000 dollars on JULY 15TH 2025 . So Kiran said that I will get a call from the Edmonton sales team and they will communicate with me hereafter . LACK OF COMMUNICATION BEGINS FROM HERE July 17th received a call from a person named Blake and he introduced himself as a sales person from the Edmonton branch and he said that he received a call from Calgary stating that I am interested on the GOLDWING . I said yes and he said that I have to do a deposit to hold the bike ( NO. COMMUNICATION INBETWEEN STORES ) . I told him that I already did a deposit of 1000 dollars then he said that he don't know about that and then he said he will check with the Calgary store and get back to me . Within an hour or so he called me and confirmed regarding the deposit and he gave me an option . OPTION 1 He said that the bike has some work to be done and he said I can take the bike without any work been done and the price will be reduced OPTION 2 They will get the work done and the price will remain the same as quoted on the Advertisement on fb as well as their site . I agreed for OPTION 2 and informed Blake that I want the work to be repaired and I will get the bike once the work is done and he asked me when do I want the bike and I asked him like how long will it take and what are the work that will be done and then he said that they will change the oil , change the tires both front and rear and the rear brake light had some wiring issues and it needs to be fixed . So these are the work and I said can I get the bike once August 1st and he said yes that more than enough for these work to get fixed and I told Blake that I want the bike to be delivered in Calgary and he said yes it can be done because Calgary is closer from place rather than Edmonton . NO COMMUNICATION AFTER THIS Last week of July I emailed Blake and requested him to send me a video of the bike but no reply , I sent around 5 to 6 emails but no reply . Then I emailed Edmonton store General Manager Samantha and she replied me back after a day ( AMAZING REPLY ) and she asked me like which bike and what video am I asking ( ZERO COMMUNICATION AMONG THE STAFFS ) . I called here the next day and I told her the story from the beginning and then she said she will check into it and again she asked me about the deposit and I told her that it's been paid 2 weeks back and then she said ohhhh the Calgary branch hasn't sent them the deposit and she said she will follow up with the Calgary branch . After 3 days got a text message from a sales Person named Joel and he asked what bike , which year and what colour . Again I messaged him all the details and then he sent me a video of the bike , video wasn't that clear . I messaged him about the options which Blake gave me and I enquired about Blake and he said he is Incharge for this sale and then I told him what all Blake told me and he said ok he understood and will follow up and I told Joel that I want the bike by first week of August . AFTER THIS MESSAGE , ALMOST TILL THE MID OF AUGUST NO EMAILS NOR PHONE MESSAGES AT ALLLLLL . I tried to call Joel no response call gets disconnected tried calling several times half way through they hung up . Got frustrated and emailed Samantha no reply , called her the receptionist transfers they call but Samantha disconnects the call . WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH THIS DEALERSHIP . On a Point of time I thought like is this a true dealership or is it a fake one . Third week of August Samantha emailed me that the bike is almost ready like they are still waiting for the new tires ( more than one month from the time of my deposit and they keep saying that waiting for tire , I guess they ordered the tire from Japan and it's been shipped through the cargo ship and that's why it took more than a month to just replace the tires ) . Finally she said all been fixed but while replacing the rear tire the TPM broke and she said that the bike is shipped to Calgary and they will fix the TPM there in Barnes Powersports in south east Calgary . I bought my 2008 bike from them in late 2007. Never had a problem and always friendly. 7 years later and I would buy another bike from them without a second thought. Service rates are typical for oil fed Alberta and Canadian retail on parts is outrageous but blame Deeleys monopoly on Harley imports for that. Bike has 22,000kms and has been flawless. read more

My friend owns a Harley & after seeing what he goes through at this location/dealership, I consciously decided not to buy a Harley. The parts take forever, are expensive, forget trying to get your bike in & out - usually a few weeks wait, plus you have argue and dicker over the details of Warranty vs. Extended Warranty because the parts/service guy got that wrong too!! This year alone, my friend has been waiting with his bike in the shop for over a week to get 3 simple diagnostics done, oh wait - they are done, but it's taking them another week to see if extended warranty covers it? Yep, and he had to wait 3 weeks for THAT appointment...maybe when it snows they will get their poop figured out?! Generally the sales staff is pretty friendly, not pushy....but the "deals" that they have during Harley Days, or sidewalk sales, etc....aren't really great. OH! - you get 20% off a $600 dollar item. whoopee! :( Anyways, now a days we would rather ride to Gasoline Alley Harley Davidson for everything! In the middle of a busy sidewalk sale there (which had smokin' deals by the way!) The sales person took me in the back room and let me try on a set of boots!! Their parts guys, service guys and sales guys are all terrific, no attitude on them......Save your sanity and go to Red Deer!! read more

Wow...what can I say. We, myself and three friends, were traveling by motorcycle from Southern California to Alberta Canada. My right fork started leaking fluid and we were staying about 10 miles from this HD Dealership. We went in and told Tanya the problem and she found "Chuck" (please forgive me if I am not recalling the correct name--tall guy with the great hair and bod:-) and they put their heads together and worked out a plan that got me on my bike back on my bike-- fixed the forks, saved us a few hundred dollars and even fixed the headlamp for the cost of parts. Did I mention that they found a demo bike for me to ride while my bike was down? Everyone there was super friendly. We purchased a shirt and ring...the cashier was also helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks guys for helping to make our 3,500 mile road trip less stressful....you rock! read more

By far the hardest dealership in Edmonton area to deal with. Parts take months to come in when they are not even back ordered. Everything seems to be just a little more expensive than it should be compared to other shops in the region, and compared to online MSRP. In my experiences with Heritage they are just not on the same level than other shops that I have dealt with. read more

Dealing on a used bike with Heritage from out of province. Sales sent me an email on a Sunday suggesting I put a deposit down to hold the bike. I responded by email that I would be arriving at the dealership on Wednesday and would touch base on Monday. Here it is Monday and they have sold the bike without so much as a courtesy call.
