This place is a disgrace. Their customer service is horribly bad. After service they damaged my bike pretty badly. To get it over with, I agreed to losing my bike in riding season, for a month so they could get it to a paintshop. This turned out to be a ordeal for almost two month. No updates, no apologies for damaging the bike in the first place. After a month I had to start calling almost daily. After promising to call me back, they would just rudely hang up on me and never call me back. After saying I would take legal actions, they got it all done within a week. These guys rock! I took my daughter to Argyll Motorsports to get some gear for her first bike. We were new to all this and didn't know what to expect. The customer service we received blew us away. It was especially great that my daughter got to meet other female riders working there. One staff member in particular, Rachael spent a lot of time with us to make sure my daughter had a proper fitting helmet and other riding gear. Never once did we get sense of high pressure sales, or that we weren't important. This place knows how to treat customers and the staff is very knowledgable. And it's by far the largest, most well stocked bike shop in Edmonton. We definitely intend to return to Argyll Motorsports to make future purchases. I took my Yamaha R3 to have its first serving done and get 2 recalls done one it. When I phoned to book it, I was told they were booking 2 weeks out. They sent me an email with the appointment date. No problem. I dropped it off on said date. They already had all the parts for the recalls. Easy breezy. Tom was super to deal with. Top notch customer service. The only thing he could have done better was to call and say my bike was ready for pick up. I would go back here in a heartbeat. Went in a week ago and ordered new tires. I was given a price including installation. The tires came in today, so I took my bike in. When I was handed the invoice it was $160 more than the quoted price. Apparently over the course of a week, the price no longer included installation. They still have the tires and I still have money. If anyone needs 16" Metzeler's, maybe they will give you a good price on them. I have been a customer of argyll for a dozen years. Went in to the parts department with a bit of an odd ball part (cable protection dust boot). I was hoping though their experience of handling parts, they could suggest something they have that might work. Rather, the guy at the counter refused to even take a close look and said in an unfriendly tone 'I can't do anything without a part number'. Then another fellow whom appeared to me his manager, echoed his remark and didn't even want to look at what I had in my hand. Sold a unit on consignment there and they said I was asking too much so they suggested I drop my asking price, which I did on their recommendation. They ended up selling the unit for the original asking price and kept the commission over and above the new dropped asking price. Complete scabs in my opinion. Picked up a new bike last season. Transaction went smoothly and I was able to use a competitors incentive coupon towards gear. No complaints at all with the floor sales staff. Loss of stars and ALL my future business due to this repeated BS (there's more but ...) .....Tried to order a simple OEM part but parts dept. just couldnt be bothered to order it in as it was on back order and it has to come from Japan etc. OK, so? Thought to myself, So whats the problem, place the order for it from Japan then, or put me down on a list when it becomes available, Im not in a rush it'll get here when it gets here. Asked what my options were then, and was told I'd have to order it myself. Really?! I didnt bother pressing it as the guy was far too busy trying to deflect me someplace else. This meant hunting around all day and undoubtedly paying ridiculous shipping for a $3 piece. This is an official YAMAHA DEALER where I BOUGHT MY BIKE- BRAND NEW and now you're telling me to source it and order it myself? Two middle fingers to you sir! Although Im sure if I were spending thousands on a new bike (again) it might've been "YES Sir, right away sir, no problem sir!", but somehow I still doubt it. Pardon me for causing you any inconvenience, how rude and inconsiderate of me to ask you to do your bloody job placing an order for a seemingly inconsequential part and one of such little monetary value. On another occasion I ordered aftermarket parts....no phone call when it arrived so I was left wondering and waiting for a few weeks. Finally called to inquire and it had arrived 2 weeks previous. Again, so very sorry for inconveniencing you guys to make any effort at all. Oh that's right you didnt bother and instead kicked it to some forgotten dusty shelf; AND you had my correct contact info. Another incident where I placed a substantial order for accessories that another dept. even failed to order...again left wondering and waiting until inquiring where it was. Timing was VERY important on this one and I made sure there was plenty of time to bring it all in... but of course...oh well too bad for me, missed out on that big outing. Thanks so very much guys! Screw this place! Ive got far better things to do with my time than BABYSIT a poorly managed business I dont own, and far better places to spend a ton of my money. Argyll MS dont ever expect any positive word of mouth from me or one more penny. 4 of 5 times walking through the door to do business has been a PIA in some way or another, and truth be told Im not a jerk or the demanding type at all, in fact Im very forgiving and easy going but damn, enough is enough. You really think I would entrust my bike to get serviced here given how everything else is run? Not a chance in hell, I could only imagine the outcome of that. How many bolts would be missing, scratches made, oil not added? Your shoddy outfit has been inexcusable on too many fronts too many times on even the most basic of requests and I really dont need the headache. Is it all really that difficult? On a positive note, I phoned a competitor to inquire about the same back ordered part expecting the same answer. Guess what?! They offered to place an order for it without me even having to ask. They guessed at 2 weeks and would EVEN give me a call...not telepathically mind you, but on a real phone when it arrives. Friendly too. Saved me time and headache and $15-30 shipping on a $3 part. Thank-you. What is this magic? Yeah thats right Argyll its called CUSTOMER SERVICE and I didnt even have to spend thousands there to get it. And now this competitor is exactly where I'll be going. From now on ALL MAJOR AND MINOR purchases WILL BE through this other dealer, and I do plan to spend thousands upon thousands of my hard earned money there. Argyll Motorsports has horrible customer service and poorly trained staff in apparel. They sized me too large a helmet (which I learnt after) and will not fix the issue now I'm out 600$. I called for a week to speak with a manger/owner and kept getting directed to the floor staff. I went in twice and both times the owner, Curtis, was hiding - too scared to handle an unsatisfied customer complaint. This is the first time I have spent significant money on a helmet and I expected to be sized correctly! After going home and spending more time examining the helmet I then noticed it felt loose. After doing some research, I measured my head circumference - they sized me a Large when I should be fitting into the manufacturers Small! Its not safe to ride with this helmet. Why didn't they start by measuring my head to size me correctly??? I have been a customer for 14 years and that ends today. Avoid Argyll Motorsports at all costs! I had an epic 7,000 mile journey from Phoenix through Alaska interrupted by Stone Sheep jumping off a cliff in front of my motorcycle. It was in the Northern Rockies on Alaska Highway, 160 miles from nearest town. I called the BMW dealer in Edmonton and was lucky enough to get a hold of David Haddock. He made me feel there was someone, who didn't know me from Adam that understood my situation and would do everything he could to help me out. When I finally got the bike to the dealership, David didn't disappoint. I've recently purchased a BMW privately, needed service and tires. I had heard the things had changed here and decided to try again. Firstly, let me say that I live in the Edmonton area, and I have bought several BMW's in the last 7 years. After approaching Argyll to purchase my first S1000RR I was so put off by their 'don't care about the customer' attitude that I decided that I would make the trip to Calgary where the level of service reflects their customer focus approach to business. I purchased a new bike this year, and decided to give Argyll another shot at my business because they are under 'new ownership'. When I picked up my bike (and paid cash for it) it was my wife that pointed out that there wasn't so much as a 'thank you for your business' when I paid them the $$$$ for the bike. Broke the bike in and tried to arrange to have the ECU enabled and was told the BMW diagnostic computer was down and therefore couldn't get the rev limiter disabled (a 20 minute connection to BMW Germany). I was to 'wait' for their computer to be fixed. When it finally was repaired I was then told I would have to wait for more than a week 'because they were backlogged with other BMW mechanical work'. Frustrated, I picked up the phone and called Blackfoot and got an appointment for the next morning 'we are very busy but we will squeeze you in'. In contrast to Argyll, it is refreshing to deal with Blackfoot Motorsports, a company that is customer focused as they should be in a non-essential, recreational product market. I would recommend that others avoid ARGYLL MOTORSPORTS. Even with an 'ownership change', the poor customer service is systemic and occurs at all levels of the business, from the senior staff that took my money for the bike, and the disinterested sales people, to the service tech that couldn't see the problem with waiting another week+ to have the bike ECU enabled. Argyll thinks and treats their customers like they have a monopoly on BMWs and Ducatis, they couldn't be more wrong. read more

My husband and I recently purchased a 2014 ducati from argyl. If I could rate only the customer service of Dennis who works in the ducati section I would give him 5 stars. He was absolutely wonderful. But if I'm rating the store as a whole it's terrible. All of the other employees were very rude and acted like we were wasting their time while we were browsing. The service department was even worse. We had some issues with the bike stalling and back firing so we brought it in. They said no it's fine, perfectly normal. Just bring it back for the 1000 km servicing. So we booked that for 2 weeks from then. We brought the bike in for our 8am appointment. We didn't hear from them until the following day when we decided to call and ask what was going on. They said they hadn't even looked at it yet and it would be a couple days until they could. Why bother scheduling an appointment?? So a couple days later we called back (because they still hadn't bothered to call us)and said they did some servicing and then brought the bike out. But they need to do more because there's a problem with stalling and back firing that they just noticed.... They got angry at us for being upset by the fact the bike is taking 2 weeks to even get looked at. All in all they are rude, slow, and very unprofessional in the service department. Dealing with the service department at this place is a complete joke, you can spend over $20000 on a bike and they claim that nothing is their fault even though they are the only ones whom have worked on it, Down for a month at only 2900km, missing washers and pieces put in wrong after being worked on, only excuse you get is we never touched that or my tech did it right. Bullshit, some of us actually know things but to keep warranties we have to take it to them, ill make the 4 hour drive for next closest dealer, this place will never get another cent from me. Horrible. They quote me 800 to service my quad and the bill came to over a 1000. They said it would take a week and it took a month and a half. No apologies no calls nothing. I had to chase them. I placed a relatively simple order for my BMW (Clutch lever, mirror mounts and signal light housings) and and older Yamaha (pilot jets). The only parts they had in stock were the signal light housings and even though I had brought in my SQUARE signal light housings they tried to sell me TRIANGULAR ones. I had to tell them that these obviously aren't going to work. I then told them to write down the part numbers that were on my signal light housings and they said they would phone me when they had ordered them. The estimated delivery time was 5-10 business days for the parts I did order that day. After 2 weeks went by I phoned them, left a message, never got a response. A few days later I tried again and the girl I talked to had no idea on the progress of the signal light housings, she would find out and call me back - she never did. Several days later, probably close to 3 weeks after I originally order the parts I called again, left a message, never got a call back. The next day I phoned again and actually got through. I talked to a guy about the other parts I ordered and he said all of the BMW parts were in but the Yamaha parts still weren't - I guess it didn't make sense to me to phone me if all the parts for one bike came in, I had been waiting for no reason. I picked up the parts and guess what, they ordered me the wrong clutch lever. It's now been over a month with most of the riding season over. I should never have gone to Argyll and should have just ordered the parts online myself. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

DON'T waste your time!!!!! I've always gone to Riverside Suzuki for service when i lived on the north side. Now im on the south and decided as its convenient, I'd get my bike serviced at Argyll. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I called a month ago and made an appointment for Thursday. They told me my bike had to be there by 0900 Thursday morning; therefore, i dropped it off wednesday evening and when i signed the work form i was told it would be done thursday evening or friday afternoon at the latest. Well, friday afternoon came and as they didn't call me... i called them. I was told they didn't even know my bike was there and did not have time to do it...... WTF? They couldn't tell me what happened. Well, i needed my bike because i was selling it and the guy wanted to pick it up friday night. Needless to say that didnt happen and i was told they may not get to it until next week. Well after asking to speak with the manager, suddenly it was able to be done. So i picked my bike up Saturday evening... no apology, no discount and no buyer cause he purchased another bike friday. I was told... "these things happen" my response....
