I scheduled an appointment to see if I was able to receive RLE (Refractive Lenses Exchange) at this location. Came in at 7:30am and the individuals behind the counter helping people check-in had no idea what RLE was. Thankfully they aren't the ones performing the process. They advertised this on their website and let me set up the appointment and come down to the office. What blows my mind is that the TV's in the lobby were playing videos of the RLE process. The individuals behind the counter are looking right at the screen and told me they have no idea what RLE is. They had to contact the doctor to confirm what RLE was. Complete waste of time. Don't waste your time with this location. They don't know what they are doing and the individuals behind the counter need to be trained on what RLE is. Wish I could give negative stars. Front desk people rude, techs are unprofessional and never say exactly what they are doing. Being shuffled from room to room to sit and wait. I agreed to cataract surgery and was told 890.00 per eye, which I paid in full. My husband was in on the consulting so we both heard the same thing. I am now getting multiple bills in the amount of around 3 thousand dollars. For what?? After all this, my eyes are much worse and they wanted me to pay 50.00 for an eyeglass prescription. Went there for second opinion on pink eye recovery. Probably didn't even need to go but sometimes I go along with what my wife says. I guess they saw $$$ all of a sudden they are screening me for glaucoma. They had me come back a second time. Both times they did testing on my vision enough to write a prescription for contacts or glasses. I wasn't too concerned at the beginning of second visit as they had charged me nothing which lead me to believe my insurance covered this! But at my second appointment they initially charged me $99. I thought well ok, might be worth it to hear what they had to say. Then before they called me back they had me go to the front to pay ANOTHER copay. I wasn't too concerned close to walking out but thought well at least I'll get my prescription and I can order new glasses online. So now I'm in it for $200. Then I go through all these hoops. Dr Funke looks at her notes and tells ME the reason they were examining for glaucoma was that I told them it was a previous concern of other eye doctors! I NEVER SAID THAT! At this point I'm frustrated I asked for a contact and glasses prescription. She tells me they don't do that??? What kind of smoke and mirror operation is this place. She finally tells me she can write for glasses and I can pick it up at front desk. At front desk they want ANOTHER $65??? Must be VERY expensive paper!! I walked out furious. Today, my 80 year old wife was expelled by office staff, who acted like a pack of wolves. Reason for that was our tiny Pomeranian, who is her support dog. When asked about her support status, my wife responded in the positive. However, that wasn't enough of an answer, and the technician requested proof, which my wife refused. read more

Rude Office Staff. I've never in my life been treated so rude by office staff until I had to go here today. I arrived early for my appt. but had issue with my insurance coverage confirming. The lady behind the counter, who was not the one helping me, kept leaning over and stating you will have to reschedule. The office staff in front of me that was trying to be helpful and understanding as I told her my husband can be here in 5 min. with a credit card. I stated I am very sick and need my eyes checked (important to note I had a mask on my face the entire time), however, that short woman kept interrupting stating you will have to reschedule. I told her just because you cannot confirm insurance doesn't mean I cannot pay and I told her, since she was interrupting the lady that was checking me in and working with me, I am sick my husband is on his way to pay. I was than allowed to sit down. I was not called back until well over an hour later. We were taking to a private room where we sat for over an hour. After a bit of time passed one of the office people stopped in and asked if I was sick and I confirmed, which is why I wore a mask. I wish I would of told her to mind her business because that's when they decided I will be the last person to leave. More time went by so, I poked my head out and that rude woman who was from the front desk was there and I asked do you know how much longer and she didn't even bother to check, just said no. I than noticed a post it not sticking up on my chart and I read it, than that same lady came over and said your not allowed to touch your chart and she took it out of my hands. She than told me to go back in the room and wait. Finally a very nice ophthalmologist came in and examined my eyes and than told us you are good to go. I'll bring your chart up to them, but you can go ahead and leave. When we started to leave that woman, AGAIN, stopped up and said payment. It's important to note that upon arrival there was about 20 or so patients in the waiting room, when I left there was no one. When I asked how long before you have the charges, she said again I don't know have a seat. I expressed to another woman that I felt we were treated poorly and I was told that they took care of all the patients that were there 1st to avoid me getting anyone sick. Unbelievable, so you add more discomfort to a sick person than treat her like you would anyone else. I feel they violated the American Disability Act, I don't know but for them to judge me and prioritize the importance of my care because I was sick and for that woman to treat me so unprofessional was wrong. As a 58 year old woman I hate that I had to experience what I experience today for the first time. You should never treat ANYONE Less of a Person because they have a disability and prioritize the importance of every person above them. Doctors and service are OK. Front office and billing could not be worse. After 5-6 years, front office continually sends my notices to my wife and my wife's notices to me. And I paid a $52.00 invoice in a timely manner on October 15, 2024, but they are still sending me monthly statements. I have called them monthly, I have sent them paper copy of proof of payment, I have emailed them pdf of proof of payment. But they continue to send me monthly past due statements. read more

As all the bad reviews warn you, the billing department is where to take caution! I was scheduled for a 1 year post op (aka no charge) from getting eye surgery, but while I was there the Dr asks if i have any concerns so I mention occasional blurred vision when I'm looking at a screen.. now they charge me for coming in for discomfort.. I call billing to see what the balance on my account is for and she claims it's a non waiveable insurance copay, but a copay for what? I have worn glasses my whole life. Went in for a check up. After moving here. They said I had cataracts. I have both Medicare and Ahcccs. They said it would be covered. They are now charging me $1000.00 for ups and extras I did not get. they have shuttled me around to multiple locations. No one can give me a straight answer on these charges. Years ago I had excellent care at this facility. Considered them top notch. Be careful. If you go for a medical eye issue they will do a vision exam without asking you that won't be covered under Medicare. If you have a vision care plan and aren't yet due for a vision exam your vision plan will not pay. They do a vision test for glasses even if that's not what u were there for. This happened twice to me. I just trusted the process while there. Not a third time. NO. I'm done with this place. Additionally, Dr Fischer rushed through my eye exam (after I waited an excessively long time). She worked me in between another issue of some kind and rushed out when someone said she was needed. My wife went to these clowns for cataract surgery. It was one error after another from what can only be seen as incompetence. To start, the surgeon damaged the eye at the site of incision. The followup treatment for that was a clear lense over the eye that they subsequently failed to fully remove. That caused the eye to become further inflamed and infected. 14 days past the surgery and the complications persist. All due to incompetence of the doctors. If you need to get eye treatment, don't go there. read more

Upon arrival and check in at 830 am on a Tuesday I was informed that the office was running 40 min behind. At 60 min and after a couple of patients who arrived after me where taken back, I went to the front desk and politely asked if maybe I had been missed? Awkwardly they acted like I had never been there already and checked in-had them copy my insurance- verify my personal info- uh uh uh We're going to look into this right now.... nearly 90 minutes and hey they call my name. The office staff was polite and didn't appear to be lacking people 40 minutes behind at 830 in the am.? ?? Super frustrating when an office Can't function within a manner that's not wasting a patients time. Wish I could give a no star review. Please do not fall for their predatory billing practices. They are charging cash to have refractory services. You cannot get an accurate eye glass prescription without this service. They state that insurances do not cover this. It is simply not true if you have a diagnosis that requires glasses. I am on Aetna insurance, and I called the insurance and my insurance told me that this was not proper billing. My fiance was in having his eye exam, and he has Medicare advantage so I figured they would not do this with a Medicare patient. They dilated his eyes and ran all the tests, and while he could not see anything they brought him paperwork to sign and wanted to collect the extra fee. He told the doctor that he did not agree with this billing practice and refused to sign and pay. So after 3 hours of all of this he walked out without a new script for glasses. Now we have to see another provider and I am not even sure if the insurance will pay for another exam. MEDICARE PATIENTS BEWARE! Check with your insurance before paying any extra fees. read more

Arrived for my morning appointment, was told my doctors called in sick. Why did I receive an email that very morning to remind me of my appointment? Why didn't I receive a call that my appointment was cancelled? If we as the customers no show or cancel less than 24 hours before, we are charged a fee correct? What did I receive? Barnet doctors are wonderful however their billing department is awful. You can't talk to anybody and they do not like working with insurance because it requires effort. They want you, the customer, to just shut up and pay the bill. So, when they don't file with your insurance company and suddenly the charge is past due to your insurance company, it becomes your problem. Nasty people. Their central phone system is just as bad. You can't call an office directly so you end up in this maze of unhelpfulness. Their lobby check in system is confusing for seniors who have vision difficulties (and yes, you are at an eye doctors office for folks with vision needs). Wait times are LONG so if your appointment is at 8 am, you won't be seen until close to 10 am. Run away! There are better choices out there. Like I said, doctors are great but the poor management, makes BDP a horrible experience. read more

The appointment time they give you may be share by multiple people. They do not value your time. Feels more like a production or herd handling. I kept trying to give them a chance, just to see if it was just bad scheduling days on my part. Nope, had the day off today scheduled a couple of appts. Waiting close to an hour I finally get my chance and they tell me I will need dilation xrays and blah blah. Mind you it had not even been 6 mos ago I had seen them. I said NOPE. And left. Had an appointment with Dr, Sippery at Barney & Delaney on 8/25/2021. The doctor was overbook terribly. 6 people checked in for a 10:30 appointmen. After waiting 30 minutes and hearing the receptionist tell others that the wait would be 2-3 hour. This is terribl. We asked to reschedule and receptionist said he was double booked for 3 months out and he was taking a 2 week vacation which would set him back furthe. The clinical staff is very knowledgeable and know their job. Dr. Fisher is the best. Takes time to do a good exam, answer all questions and is always approachable and friendly. After several years of going for appointments only to wait 20 minutes or longer just to be called and then being shuttled back and forth from the waiting area to testing rooms, I decided to switch eye care providers. An average appointment will take 75 minutes to 2 hours. I had no problem with the actual doctor, although I rarely saw her more than five minutes at each visit. I am really changing because the office is mis-managed, the personnel are not efficient and professional and it seems like a factory assembly line. read more

We are seriously looking into another opthamologist. We love the Dr but there are problems with the office We have been waiting since Oct 24 2021 for this clinic to schedule a laser treatment for my husbands eye. No one ever called us about scheduling. We called several times after his Oct appointment, No response. We were told there was a mistake scheduling. Since it was longer than 90 days. He was required to be examined again. He was seen Feb 3 2022. We have tried to get his procedure scheduled . I have called twice since then. NO ONE returns our call !!! We were originally told they would get him scheduled the day of his appt. This is a very poor practice! We are about ready to Move ON!! read more

The Goodyear office is the worse run office I have ever been to. You wait for at 90 min (if not more) to complete your visit. I have had several appointments at this location, always the same wait. Hardly any of the assistants speak English clearly. I had cataract surgery at the Sun City location , what a totally different environment! I will be making all my future appointments at the Sun City location, much farther for me to drive, but all the staff there are very kind. And...they are always on time! read more

I have seen Dr Fisher for eye exams and prescriptions a couple of times. Not the most personable but does a good job. The problem I have is that I was charged $50.00 for a copy of the prescription even though I was going to purchase the glasses there ??? Gouging? Does not seem right. Shame on Delaney. I am so pleased with the eye care provided by this group. I recently underwent a vitrectomy by Dr Jordan Graff and I am amazed at my clarity of vision. I had significant floaters in my right eye and the plan was to first undergo cataract surgery and then the vitrectomy afterwards. My vision is 20/20 plus 2! Have your eyes examined by this practice to determine the best care for your eyes. read more

I take my father to his appointments and we expect to wait at least 2-3 hours before he is seen. The doctor sees him for 5 minutes and then he is off to wait again for another 30-45 minutes for checkout. The whole place is packed, if they are understaffed, maybe they should limit how many people they see based on their staffing capabilities. read more

BDP Eye Care is the full service eye center I was looking for as a newly transplanted resident. They have experts on retinal, cataract and vision issues. My initial appointment was with an OD who competently assessed my various issues and referred me to the doctors needed moving forward. read more

I have been here numerous times and the staff is normally very helpful knowledgeable and sweet. There have been a few hiccups but nothing majorly wrong. Dr Moore did my last procedure which was brow lift and did a wonderful job. His staff is really exceptional and I truly like them. read more
